    Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) chip includes an N-type semiconductor layer, a compensation layer arranged on the N-type semiconductor layer, an active layer arranged on the compensation layer; and a P-type semiconductor layer arranged on the active layer. During growth of the compensation layer, atoms of an element (i.e., Al) of the compensation layer move to fill epitaxial defects in the N-type semiconductor layer, wherein the epitaxial defects are formed due to lattice mismatch when growing the N-type semiconductor. A method for manufacturing the chip is also disclosed. The compensation layer is made of a compound having a composition of AlxGa1-xN.

    Abstract: This invention is related to a novel sugar-like chemical composition and its use for diabetes therapy. Particularly, the present invention teaches the use of monosaccharide-like glycylated sugar alcohol compounds to block or reduce sugar absorption in diabetes patients, so as to prevent the risk of hyperglycemia symptoms. Glycylation of sugar alcohols is a totally novel reaction that has never been reported before. Therefore, the novelty of the present invention is that for the first time glycylated sugar alcohols not only was found but also was found to be useful for treating Diabetes mellitus. In addition, the present invention teaches a method for producing these glycylated sugar alcohols. In sum, the present invention includes not only a kind of novel sugar-like chemical compositions and its use for treating diabetes but also a state-of-the-art protocol and methodology for producing such a novel composition via glycylation of sugars and sugar alcohols.

The carboxylate nucleating agent is selected from the group consisting of sodium benzoate and hydroxyl aluminum para-tertiary butyl benzoate, and the phosphate nucleating agent is selected from any one of sodium 2,2?-methylene-di(4,6-di-t-butyl phenyl) phosphate and aluminum bis[2,2?-methylene-di(4,6-di-t-butylphenyl)] phosphate. The nucleating agent composition according to the present invention not only can significantly improve the bending modulus and thermal deformation temperature of polypropylene, but also can improve the impact strength of polypropylene.

A portion of the illuminating light irradiating the light penetration region penetrates through the light penetration region, is transmitted to the reflective unit, being reflected by the reflective unit, and penetrates through the light penetration region again sequentially.
