    Abstract: An electronic device including a control unit, a display panel and a sensing unit is provided. The display panel displays an electronic book. When the sensing unit senses that the electronic device is rotated around a first axis over a first angle, the control unit controls the display panel to display multiple pages of the electronic book instead of a content of the electronic book. The display panel also displays multiple annotations as the display panel is annotated.

A textured structure is formed in the low-temperature epitaxial layer. A SiO2 layer including a plurality of convexes is located on the textured structure to increase light extraction efficiency of the LED epitaxial structure.     Abstract: A wireless illumination controller with the function to set the lowest driving power includes a microprocessor, a driver, an illumination control switch, and a wireless receiving module. The microprocessor is built in with an adjustable lowest power and connected with the driver, the illumination control switch, the wireless receiving module and a power processing module. The illumination control switch is used to set the lowest power of the microprocessor. After the wireless receiving module receives a wireless illumination adjustment command, the power of the driving signal output from the driver is controlled to be not lower than the lowest power. Therefore, when a user adjusts the illumination, the driving power is never lower than the lowest driving power of the corresponding light bulb, thereby avoiding flickering.

    Abstract: An active matrix organic light emitting diode pixel circuit includes an organic light emitting diode, a driving circuit, a switching circuit and a capacitor. In a charge state, by controlling the switching circuit, a first end of the capacitor is electrically coupled to a signal input terminal, and a second end of the capacitor is electrically coupled to a first power source. In a compensation state, by controlling the switching circuit, the first end of the capacitor is electrically coupled to the signal input terminal, and the second end of the capacitor is electrically coupled to an anode of the organic light emitting diode. In an emission state, by controlling the switching circuit, the first end of the capacitor is electrically coupled to the driving circuit, and the second end of the capacitor is electrically coupled to the driving circuit and the anode of the organic light emitting diode.

    Abstract: The invention provides a data access method. First, a plurality of commands received from a host is stored in a command queue. A plurality of logical address ranges of the commands is then calculated. A plurality of write commands is then selected from the commands, wherein the logical address ranges of the write commands are overlapping with each other. Whether at least one read command having a receiving order that is in between the receiving orders of the write commands exists in the command queue is then determined. When the at least one read command does not exist, write data corresponding to the write commands are combined together to obtain combined write data according to the logical address ranges of the write commands. A combined write command and the combined write data are then sent to a memory to request that the memory executes the write commands.

The substrate material beneath the first portion of the spacer is reflowed, so that a top portion of the first sidewall of the substrate material defining the recess is substantially aligned with a boundary between the gate dielectric film and the spacer. The recess is filled with a stressor material.

    Abstract: Cancer markers may be developed to detect diseases characterized by increased expression of apoptosis-suppressing genes, such as aggressive cancers. Genes in the human chromosomal regions, 8q24, 11q13, 20q11-q13, were found to be amplified indicating in vivo drug resistance in diseases such as ovarian cancer. Diagnosis and assessment of amplification levels certain genes shown to be amplified, including PVT1, can be useful in prediction of poor outcome of patient's response and drug resistance in ovarian cancer patients with low survival rates. Certain genes were found to be high priority therapeutic targets by the identification of recurrent aberrations involving genome sequence, copy number and/or gene expression are associated with reduced survival duration in certain diseases and cancers, specifically ovarian cancer. Therapeutics to inhibit amplification and inhibitors of one of these genes, PVT1, target drug resistance in ovarian cancer patients with low survival rates is described.

    Abstract: An engineered epitaxial region compensates for short channel effects of a MOS device by providing a blocking layer to reduce or prevent dopant diffusion while at the same time reducing or eliminating the side effects of the blocking layer such as increased leakage current of a BJT device and/or decreased breakdown voltage of a rectifier. These side effects are reduced or eliminated by a non-conformal dopant-rich layer between the blocking layer and the substrate, which lessens the abruptness of the junction, thus lower the electric field at the junction region. Such a scheme is particularly advantageous for system on chip applications where it is desirable to manufacture MOS, BJT, and rectifier devices simultaneously with common process steps.
