  • Patent number: 11887283
Abstract: Devices, methods, and non-transitory program storage devices are disclosed herein to provide for improved perspective distortion correction for wide field of view (FOV) video image streams. The techniques disclosed herein may be configured, such that the distortion correction applied to requested region of interest (ROI) portions taken from individual images of the wide FOV video image stream smoothly transitions between applying different distortion correction to ROIs, depending on their respective FOVs. In particular, the techniques disclosed herein may modify the types and/or amounts of perspective distortion correction applied, based on the FOVs of the ROIs, as well as their location within the original wide FOV video image stream. In some cases, additional perspective distortion correction may also be applied to account for tilt in an image capture device as the wide FOV video image stream is being captured and/or the unwanted inclusion of “invalid” pixels from the wide FOV image.

  • Patent number: 11888814
Abstract: In general, techniques are described for managing address spaces across network elements. A network device including a processor may be configured to perform the techniques. The processor may execute a pool manager that automatically distributes a first block of network addresses to a first network element acting, for a first network, as a first address allocation server to assign the first block of network addresses. The pool manager may further automatically distribute a second block of contiguous network addresses to a second network element acting, for a second network, as a second address allocation server. The pool manager may then dynamically manage a size of the first block of network addresses and a size of the second block of network addresses to address exhaustion of available network addresses within either or both of the first block of network addresses and the second block of network addresses.

  • Patent number: 11886235
Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a shield that provides thermal and electromagnetic interference (“EMI”) shielding benefits. The shield is secured with fan assemblies by airtight seals to prevent air leakage and promote a pressured volume when the fan assemblies are running. Further, the shield can direct airflow from the fan assemblies to one or more thermally conductive components, where the airflow can convectively cool the thermally conductive components and exit the electronic device. The shield is made from a metal, and when the shield covers a circuit board, the shield protects an EMI barrier for integrated circuits located on the circuit board. Moreover, the shield can provide a single-piece, monolithic body that provides advantages over multiple shields, such as eliminating gaps in the shield for air leakage and EMI intrusion, increasing air circulation efficiency, and decreasing costs.

Abstract: Provided is a method of contacting a subject, cell, or tissue with an amphiphilic block copolymer to treat a viral infection. The resulting effect can be treating a disease caused by a virus, inhibiting viral replication, inhibiting an unfolded protein response of a virus, preventing death of tissue infected by a virus, or promoting cell repair and recovery to increase survival of cells infected by a virus. The hydrophobic block of the amphiphilic block copolymer binds to an exposed hydrophobic domain of the virus. Further provided is an amphiphilic block copolymer comprising three or more hydrophobic substituents or an alkylene spacer on a hydrophobic block of the copolymer.

  • Publication number: 20240027439
Abstract: A method of making a plasmon-resonance biosensor includes conjugating precious metal nanorods with form factor at least 1.5 with a biological probe material. Microfluidic chambers of volume under 0.025 microliter are formed over a substrate, and an aqueous suspension of the conjugated nanorods is injected into the chambers. The nanorods are organized in rows and aligned in long dimension along the rows. The biosensor is configured to be read by obtaining an optical absorption spectrum upon exposure to the analyte. The biosensor includes precious metal nanorods organized in rows with long dimension approximately parallel to the rows. The nanorods are conjugated with biological probes capable of binding to an analyte, the probes may be an aptamer, an antibody, a protein-nucleic acid (PNA), a complimentary DNA, or an enzyme having a binding site.

  • Publication number: 20240024033
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that facilitate an intraoperative assessment of registration associated with a trackable reference frame. An initial position of the landmark is identified and an initial position and orientation of the trackable reference frame is determined. The position and orientation of the trackable reference frame is subsequently trance and estimated updated position of the landmark is determined by maintaining a fixed three-dimensional offset between the landmark and the trackable frame of reference. An annotation indicating the estimated updated position of the landmark is displayed, such as within an intraoperative image acquired by a camera having a known spatial relationship with the tracking system. A user may visually observe a registration error by observing a lack of spatial concordance between the actual location of the landmark the estimated updated location as indicated by the annotation. The annotation may be generated based on previously acquired surface data.

  • Publication number: 20240031795
Abstract: This Application describes mechanisms for enterprise remote management of cellular services provided via access credentials, e.g., subscriber identity modules (SIMs) and/or electronic SIMs (eSIMs), for wireless devices. To minimize requirements for user interaction, installation and management of business-supplied cellular service profiles on the wireless device can intercept alert notifications to reduce interruptions and allow for background management of the business-supplied cellular service profiles. Additionally, a business enterprise can use multiple, distinct services to initiate installation of an eSIM to a wireless device. When two different services attempt to install eSIMs on the wireless device in parallel, management software on the wireless device can control an order of installation and disallow duplicate installations of an identical eSIM to the wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20240016962
Abstract: A system for eradicating pathogens is disclosed. A lamp is provided that emits a far-ultraviolet C (far-UVC) light generates an irradiation zone. A biometric sensor determines whether an individual is present in the irradiation zone. The biometric sensor signals a processor to determine whether the individual has been exposed to a threshold limit of far-UVC light. The processor determines whether the time an individual has been in the irradiation zone exceeds a threshold limit. If the individual has been in the irradiation zone a period of time exceeds the threshold, the lamp is deactivated. A pathogen detection sensor provides user feedback of the existence pathogens and signals the processor to terminate irradiation or provide user feedback to terminate irradiation. The system and method are included in a passenger compartment of a vehicle to eradicate pathogens on surfaces and aerosol. Threshold limits allow eradication while the vehicle is occupied.

  • Publication number: 20240012257
Abstract: A head-mounted device may be provided with displays. The displays and lenses through which images on the displays are viewed may be mounted in optical modules. Lens positioners may be used to move the optical modules toward and away from eye boxes to adjust eye relief distance. Control circuitry may gather sensor data such as motion sensor data from a motion sensor indicating whether the head-mounted device is in free fall and/or image sensor data from a front-facing camera indicating whether the head-mounted device is headed toward a collision with an external surface. The control circuitry may use the lens positioners to automatically increase the eye relief distance in response to sensor data if a collision is predicted. The lens positioners may include solenoids or other actuators. The positions of the lenses may be adjusted without necessarily adjusting a distance between the lens and the display.
