    Abstract: Provided is a method of modifying a blowing agent including coating a metallic siloxylated compound or a silane compound on the surface of the blowing agent in a wet cake state. In the method of modifying a blowing agent, an operation of drying the blowing agent is omitted, and thus the method has effects of cost reduction and productivity improvement by simplifying the process. In addition, since the blowing agent prepared according to the present invention has excellent dispersibility in a resin, foam cells are uniformly formed and productivity can be improved. Since the fluidity of the resin is improved, productivity can be improved.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a process for the refinement of nitrogen trifluoride gas and an adsorbent therefor. A nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) gas including carbon tetrafluoride (CF4) as an impurity is permeated into a bed of zeolite 3 A, 4A or 5 A which undergoes ion exchange and impregnation with alkali earth metal and is thermally treated at 150 to 600° C. for 0.5 to 100 hours so as to be able to selectively adsorb nitrogen trifluoride onto the bed, followed by the desorption of the nitrogen trifluoride therefrom.

    Abstract: A method forms a gate conductor over a substrate, forms spacers (e.g., nitride spacers) on sides of the gate conductor, and implants an impurity into exposed regions of the substrate not protected by the gate conductor and the spacers. The method forms a conformal protective layer (e.g., an oxide or other similar material) over the silicide, the spacers, and the gate conductor. Next, the method forms a non-conformal sacrificial layer (e.g., nitride or other material that can be selectively removed with respect to the protective layer) over the protective layer. A subsequent partial etching process partially etches the sacrificial layer such that relatively thinner regions of the sacrificial layer that are over the spacers are completely removed and the relatively thicker regions of the sacrificial layer that are over the substrate are not removed.
