The FPD may include an image panel unit whose optical properties are locally controlled; a panel control unit to form a line field by controlling optical properties of a horizontal or vertical line region of the image panel unit; and an image input unit to project an image, which is to be output on the image panel unit, to the formed line field.

Abstract: An inkjet printhead and a method of manufacturing the same. The inkjet printhead may include a substrate through which an ink feed hole to supply ink is formed, a chamber layer stacked above the substrate and including a plurality of ink chambers filled with ink supplied from the ink feed hole, and a nozzle layer stacked on the chamber layer, wherein a plurality of nozzles through which ink is ejected and a plurality of via holes are formed in the nozzle layer.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a semiconductor device includes providing a substrate having a bulb-type recessed region, forming a gate insulating layer over the bulb-type recessed region and the substrate, and forming a gate conductive layer over the gate insulating layer. The gate conductive layer fills the bulb-type recessed region. The gate conductive layer includes two or more conductive layers and a discontinuous interface between the conductive layers.

Abstract: A tungsten polymetal gate is made by forming a gate insulation layer and a polysilicon layer on a semiconductor substrate; depositing a barrier layer on the polysilicon layer; depositing a tungsten nucleation layer on the barrier layer through an ALD process; depositing a tungsten layer on the tungsten nucleation layer through a CVD process; depositing a hard mask layer on the tungsten layer; and etching the hard mask layer, the tungsten layer, the tungsten nucleation layer, the barrier layer, the polysilicon layer, and the gate insulation layer.

An isolation layer contacts a gate insulating layer throughout the entire length of the first inner wails of the gate trenches including from entrance portions of the gate trenches to bottom portions of the gate trenches, and a plurality of channel regions are disposed adjacent to the gate insulating layers in the semiconductor substrate along the second inner walls and the bottom portions of the gate trenches.

Abstract: A test device is provided for testing stability of a computer when the computer is started up or shut down. The test device includes a monolithic chip and a switch module. The monolithic chip includes an input port and an output port. The input port receives a high level or a low level signal from the computer. A test control module is disposed in the monolithic chip. The switch module includes an input pin coupled to the output port of the monolithic chip and a pair of output pins corresponding to the input pin. The pair of output pins is connected to the computer, for controlling the computer to be started up or shut down. The input port of the monolithic chip is connected to the computer for detecting a state of the computer.

Abstract: A stereo support system and method for a mobile terminal are disclosed. The stereo support method uses a sound generation device having a sound generation main unit and a sound generation sub-unit to play a first audio material selected in a mobile terminal, and comprises: generating a second audio material by modifying phase or play-time properties of the first audio material; and streaming the first audio material to the sound generation main unit and the second audio material to the sound generation sub-unit. As a result, the user of a mobile terminal can enjoy stereo sounds using a monaural headset.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a rapid preparation process of aerogel. More specifically, the present invention relates to a rapid preparation process of aerogel which enables a considerable reduction in preparation time and preparation costs via simultaneous treatment of solvent exchange and surface-modification of hydrophilic-to-hydrophobic transition. The rapid preparation process comprises mixing a cation exchange resin with sodium silicate (water glass) as a starting material, and removing the sodium ion from the sodium silicate, to subject the sodium silicate to ion exchange; adding a base catalyst and an organosilane compound to the sodium silicate to subject the sodium silicate to gelation; aging the gellized silica gel at room temperature for 2 to 4 hours to discharge water from the silica gel and to modify the surface of the silica gel into hydrophobicity; and drying the hydrophobic silica gel at atmospheric pressure for 18 to 27 hours.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an optical connection. In the present invention, an element wire is removably fastened to the optical connector by tightening a main wire connection member using a tightening member from a state in which a plug, a main wire aligning member, a spring, a fastening member, the main wire connection member and the tightening member are previously assembled together. Consequently, only a related optical line need be repaired or replaced with another one, so that the optical line connection work is markedly simplified and can be performed conveniently. Furthermore, there is an advantage of efficient reuse of components.

Abstract: Monoclonal antibody reagents that recognize the SARS-coronavirus (SARS-HCoV) are needed urgently. In this report we describe the development and immunochemical characterisation of mAbs against the SARS-HCoV based upon their specificity, binding requirements, and biological activity. Initial screening by ELISA, using highly purified virus as the coating antigen, resulted in the selection of seventeen mAbs. Five mAbs exhibited Western immunoblot reactivity with the denatured spike protein, of which two demonstrated the ability to neutralize SARS-HCoV in vitro. Another four Western immunoblot-negative mAbs also neutralize the virus. These antibodies will be useful for the development of diagnostic tests, pathogenicity and vaccine studies.

The heating cooker includes a body having a cooking chamber defined therein, a door hingably mounted to the body to open and close the cooking chamber, a door holder positioned in the body to hold the door and keep the cooking chamber closed by the door, and a hinge part connected between the door and the body to guide rotation of the door such that when the door is released from the door holder, the door is automatically opened.

The capacitance of a storage capacitor formed by charges stored in the pixel electrode and the storage electrode is determined by a thickness of the protection film and an overlapping area of the pixel electrode and the storage electrode.

Abstract: A clock signal generator for a USB device. The clock signal generator includes a control circuit and a clock generator that does not need to include a crystal oscillator. The control circuit counts the cycle of the clock signal during the period between two sync signals successively inputted, and generates a frequency control signal corresponding to the count value. The clock generator generates the clock signal with a frequency corresponding to the frequency control signal. The clock signal generator can generate a clock signal that is suitable for the data transfer rate defined, in the USB specification. In addition, the clock; signal generator can generate an RX clock signal so that an RX data signal can be recovered with its energy being stable.
