  • Publication number: 20080080430
Abstract: In a multi-radio mesh network system supporting at least two different wireless communication standards and a method of controlling the same, a wireless access switching module determines whether user data en-queued in the queue of a first wireless link and retained on standby cannot be transmitted. The wireless access switching module switches the user data, en-queued in the queue of the first wireless link and retained on standby, to an available second wireless link. The wireless access switching module changes a frame structure according to different wireless access techniques. When access is possible through the second wireless link, a forwarder searches for a local neighbor directly connected to a transmitting node and a receiving node, and forwards the user data. According to the invention, and in contrast to conventional techniques, available multi-wireless resources can be used more efficiently, flexibly and optimally up to the last moment, thereby reducing re-transmission and packet drop.

  • Publication number: 20080079688
Abstract: Certain types of displays such as electrophoretic displays tend to deteriorate if their pixel units are persistently driven by currents flowing in only one direction for the purpose of maintaining (i.e. refreshing) a relatively constant optical state. A first method pulses the pixel unit with a drive pulse of opposed polarity but duration too short (i.e. less than 1/25 second) for a viewer to notice. A second method pulses the pixel unit with a drive pulse of opposed polarity but magnitude to small to effect change in optical state.

  • Publication number: 20080081411
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a non-volatile memory device, a conductive structure is formed on a substrate. The conductive structure includes a tunnel oxide pattern, a first conductive pattern, a pad oxide pattern and a hard mask pattern. A trench is formed on the substrate using the conductive structure as an etching mask. An inner oxide layer is formed on an inner wall of the trench and sidewalls of the tunnel oxide pattern and the first conductive pattern. The inner oxide layer is cured, thereby forming a silicon nitride layer on the inner oxide layer. A device isolation pattern is formed in the trench, and the hard mask pattern and the pad oxide pattern are removed from the substrate. A dielectric layer and a second conductive pattern are formed on the substrate. Accordingly, the silicon nitride layer prevents-hydrogen (H) atoms from leaking into the device isolation pattern.

  • Patent number: 7352849
Abstract: An short message service switching private branch exchange system and a method can reduce costs. The method can include certifying whether a usable DSP exists or not when an office line and a speech path are connected to each other, and transmitting an short message service signal transmitted from the office line to the DSP through a PCM channel if the usable DSP exists. A main processor of the private branch exchange can certify an extension line terminal that will receive short message service, generate an short message service signal having a format corresponding to a kind of the extension line terminal by using the DSP, and transmit the formatted SMS signal to an extension line interface unit of a corresponding extension line terminal.
