Abstract: A method of assembling a frame assembly for a partition system is disclosed. The frame assembly includes a partition panel, a fabric covering the panel, and a frame component. The frame component automatically and evenly tensions the fabric about the panel. The frame component provided according to this method includes a support element, a lockable element, and an integral hinge defined between the support and lockable elements. The support element defines a cavity for receiving and supporting the panel. The lockable element extends from and is moveable relative to the support element. The panel is inserted into the cavity, and the fabric is mounted to the lockable element. Next, the lockable element is moved about the integral hinge such that the fabric mounted to the lockable element is automatically and evenly tensioned about the panel. Abstract: Disclosed is an improved vacuum cleaning apparatus utilizing a self-sustained vortex flow in a centrifugal separator. More specifically, vortex flow is maintained via pressure differentials allowing the ejection of dust and other particles without bags, filters, or liquid baths. Furthermore, the impeller inside of the separator serves the dual purpose of moving fluid through the system as well as creating a cylindrical vortex fluid flow. Additional circulating blades present throughout the separation chamber prevent fluid flow from slowing due to frictional losses. The axial design of the present invention allows the centrifugal separator to be constructed with an arbitrary length. The present invention excels in producing clean fluid of a better quality more efficiently, more quietly, and more simply than devices known in the art.

Abstract: A gas turbine exhaust passage is realized which may suppress the radiation of strong ultra low frequency noise to the outside without amplifying the turbulence of an high speed exhaust gas flow rate or a pressure pulsation generated in a gas turbine. At least a portion of a wall of a gas turbine exhaust passage (3, 5) is formed of an acoustically transmissive material (36, 56) for allowing a low frequency noise of several tens of Hz or less to pass therethrough sufficiently. Also, the acoustically transmissive material is made of one or more of a porous material, a porous heat insulating material, a mesh having a large flow resistance, cloth or film material. Further, the acoustically transmissive material is supported by a porous plate or a frame. In a case where an acoustically transmissive material is used only for an exhaust chimney (5), the exhaust chimney (5) is supported by a rack (11). Further, a soundproof panel (12) may be attached to the rack (11).

Abstract: A fluid flow system for a gas turbine engine provides combustion fuel to a main pump and an actuator pump significantly reducing heat generation at low flow demand, while regulating actuator flow temperature at high flow demand. Fuel flow from the actuator pump in excess of the actuators needs is directed through an actuator minimum pressure valve and into a thermal bypass valve (TBV.) Depending upon the temperature of the fuel, the TBV determines the path of the excess actuator pump fluid flow. The TBV divides the fuel flow between being recirculated to the actuator pump inlet and the main pump output flow path to the engine fuel input conduit. The engine actuators are thereby assured of receiving flow which preclude freezing of water entrained in the fuel. When there is minimal concern with the possibility of freezing water entrained in the fuel, the TBV passes a greater percentage of fuel through to join together in the engine fuel input conduit.

Abstract: The rotary engine is an expansion fluid turbine for supplying power to lawn mowers, small vehicles, electrical generators, and the like. Fuel and oxygen are supplied from bladder tanks to combustion chamber, while water is supplied to an annular sleeve surrounding the combustion chamber in a mist by a spray nozzle. Ignition of the fuel-oxygen mixture by a glow plug heats the mist to supply steam for turning a rotor. The rotor has a circular top plate with a plurality of pin diffusers depending from its lower surface, and an annular bottom plate with a plurality of pin diffusers attached to its upper surface. A swirl pan has a flange on which the lower plate seats, and defines a swirl chamber. The steam enters the swirl chamber through a bifurcated intake conduit. Swirling in one direction causes rotation, while swirling in the opposite direction causes braking.

Abstract: A fuel flow control system for directing fuel within a combustion engine having a plurality of fuel introduction nozzles arranged in a plurality of operationally-distinct groups is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of pumping assemblies each corresponding to one of the nozzle groups. Each pumping assembly includes several fuel motivation elements, each in fluid communication with a fuel supply and a corresponding one of said nozzles. Drive elements, such as variable speed motors, are operatively associated with the pumping assemblies, and direct the motivation elements to transmit fuel to the nozzles. A control assembly independently controls the drive elements, so that fuel flow to each nozzle group is independently controllable. In one embodiment, the motivation elements in each pumping assembly are mechanically linked and operate as discrete groups of elements, thereby delivering uniform fuel flow to each nozzle within a given group of nozzles.
