Abstract: The invention is directed to enabling an serving node and a gateway node to be informed of a new route for a new node or sub-network that has become active behind a Mobile Terminal that can also act as a router. When IP level route injection occurs at the Mobile Terminal, a Modify session profile message causes insertion of a new IP address or prefix at a gateway node related to the new route. Also, the gateway node will update the serving node and the Mobile Terminal with information related to the new route or a proposed new route. The Mobile Terminal and the gateway node can share routing information over a dynamic routing protocol. Additionally, the Mobile Terminal and the gateway node can configure static routing information on routes towards each other. The new route can be added with 24.008 and/or GTP messages when initiated on the Mobile Terminal side for either the dynamic or static case.

Abstract: A method and arrangement for processing of CCTrCH data in a UMTS system, by: receiving CCTrCH data across a plurality of radio frames and timeslots (310); storing the received CCTrCH data (320); and upon receipt of complete data for a CCTrCH, processing the stored CCTrCH data through channel processing asynchronously to the received timeslot structure (360). Preferably, the received CCTrCH data is stored in a single RAM memory in link-list form, whereby each timeslot of received CCTrCH data can be independently accessed in the memory. This method of buffering the different parts of the received CCTrCH data, so that they can be recombined before the TrCH decoding and de-multiplexing, is both memory efficient and spreads out the processing load over time.

Abstract: A method for establishing a connection between a circuit-switched mobile station (MS) and a packet-switched switching element (MSC). A radio network controller (RNC) receives a first initiation signal (an attach request) from the mobile station (MS) via a circuit-switched connection. The RNC opens a signaling connection for the mobile station. While the signaling connection is active, the RNC receives a second initiation signal (call setup) and opens a real-time connection for the mobile station. Thus the packet-switched switching element (MSC) is able to switch a real-time connection to/from the circuit-switched mobile station (MS).

Abstract: A receiver of a multicarrier communication system capable of reducing inter-subcarrier interfering signals is to be provided. Receive signals received by a receiving antenna are amplified by a receiving amplifier, subjected to quadrature demodulation by multipliers with respect to the respective subcarriers, and band-limited by lowpass filters. The signals band-limited by the lowpass filters are converted into digital signals by A/D converters at a sampling frequency fs. With respect to the receive signals converted into digital signals, interfering signals leaking between subcarriers are estimated by using A/D converted by the A/D converters and are canceled. The receive signals reduced in interfering signals are multiplexed into a single sequence by a multiplexer, and decoded by a decoder into output signals.

Abstract: An embodiment of this invention pertains to a network processor that processes incoming information element segments at very high data rates due, in part, to the fact that the processor is deterministic (i.e., the time to complete a process is known) and that it employs a pipelined “multiple instruction single date” (“MISD”) architecture. This MISD architecture is triggered by the arrival of the incoming information element segment. Each process is provided dedicated registers thus eliminating context switches. Abstract: A system and method for fault tolerant multimedia communication provides a first connectionless channel for communicating packets from a server to a client. Packets are either header packets or media packets. Header packets include only a header payload providing information pertaining to succeeding media packets. One or more media packets corresponding to a single frame of video succeeds each header packet. The client detects missing packets and determines whether or not the missing packet is a header packet. If a header packet is missing, the corresponding succeeding media packets are not processed. Instead, the system waits until the next header packet is received to resume processing of media packets succeeding that next received header packet. If a media packet is missing, the client may continue processing media packets received, although the resulting video may be somewhat distorted, especially if the received media packets depend upon the missing media packet for proper processing.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of blocking undesired traffic in data communication systems that uses packet switching. Blocking is effected by determining the sender address of incoming data packets, and then comparing this address with a list of reliable addresses. The data packet is erased immediately, if the sender addresss is not included in the list. The list of accepted addresses can be created in several wayoi among others by including in the list addresses to which the user has himself sent data, these addresses therefore being considered reliable addresses. Addresses of friends and acquaintances can also be inserted in the list manually. The invetion thus enables undesired data from unreliable senders to be avoided. Such data loading limited resources, such as wireless internet connections for example. Neither is there any risk of the receiver being required to pay for information that he himself has not requested.

Abstract: Telecommunication systems should be able to handle different protocols. Thereto, with a first protocol being Internet Protocol v6 using 128-bit addresses of a first kind and with a second protocol being Internet Protocol v4 using 32-bit addresses of a second kind, an access system (1) is provided with a generating section (21) for, in response to an address of one kind, generating a corresponding address of an other kind for a terminal-to-terminal communication and independently of which terminal has initiated said terminal-to-terminal communication. For a set-up phase, a replacing section (22) replaces addresses of a second kind by corresponding addresses of a first kind, and an adding section (23) adds, in addition to addresses of a first kind, corresponding addresses of a second kind, in set-up messages. For a communication phase, activating sections (24,25) activate translating sections (11,12), which translating sections (11,12) translate addresses of one kind into addresses of an other kind, in packets.
