Abstract: This invention provides a process of preparing dihydrocarbylamido metal compounds. This process comprises bringing together, in a liquid reaction medium, at least one metal halide, MX4, where M is titanium, zirconium, or hafnium, and X is a halogen atom, with at least one dihydrocarbylamine, such that a mixture of (i) halometal amides in which the atom ratio of halogen to metal is greater than about 0.1 and less than about 2, and (ii) dihydrocarbylamine hydrohalide is produced. Then (i) and (ii) are separated from each other, and (i) is brought together with an alkali metal amide, ANR2, where A is an alkali metal, and R is a hydrocarbyl group, in a liquid medium, to produce a product comprised of substantially halogen-free dihydrocarbylamido metal compound. Abstract: An improved, non-conductive electrical junction box assembly includes a junction box body defining at least one insert recess; and an insert member slidably received into the insert recess, defining a stepped through bore, and outwardly providing a conduit socket into which an end termination portion of an electrical conduit may be received and secured. The insert member may be adhesively secured into the insert recess, or the insert member and junction box body may include mutual latching features which engage upon insertion of the insert member into the insert recess to lock the insert member in the insert recess. Alternatively, the insert member and the insert recess may each have a portion that is generally T-shaped, and these portions may receive and engage one another to position the insert member on the junction box body. A latching feature may be included in the T-shaped insert member, and the junction box body may include features allowing unlatching and removal of the insert member.

  • Patent number: 6831230
Abstract: The shield processing structure for a flat shielded cable includes: a flat shielded cable including two shielded cores, a drain wire, an aluminum foil shield member for covering the two shielded cores and the drain wire, and an insulating outer jacket for covering the aluminum foil shield member; and resin members for clamping the flat shielded cable with joining surfaces. The flat shielded cable is clamped between the pair of resin members, and a grounding wire is interposed between the flat shielded cable and the resin member. In this state, ultrasonic vibration are applied across the pair of resin members, whereby at least insulating outer jackets are melted and scattered, and a conductor of the grounding wire, on the one hand, and the grounding wire-use contact portion of aluminum foil shield member and the drain wire are brought into contact with each other.

  • Patent number: 6831233
Abstract: A semiconductor device package includes multiple built-up layers of metal sandwiching non-conductive layers. The metal layers have grids of degassing holes arranged in rows and columns. The rows and columns are locatable via a first coordinate system. Signal traces are embedded within the non-conductive layers such that the signal traces are also sandwiched between the metal layers with degassing holes. The signal traces generally run at zero degrees, 45 degrees, and 90 degrees relative to a second coordinate system. The first coordinate system is rotated relative to the second coordinate system to lower impedance variations of different traces. Impedance variations decrease due to the decreased variation in the number of degassing holes passed over or under by a trace. The grid of degassing holes on one metal layer can be offset in two dimensions relative to the degassing holes on another layer.
