Publication number: 20070007468Abstract: This patent is for an inhomogeneous magnet field cyclotron that has no moving parts and no operating oscillating magnetic or electrical fields. This device or machine consists of any number of individual magnets designed to produce a strong inhomogeneous magnetic field with magnets placed front to back in a closed geometrical arrangement or ring called a “racetrack”. Electrical neutral particles with a magnetic moment are injected into the magnets and pass through a tunnel in each of the magnets and around the racetrack. The subject particles can be either accelerated or decelerated in the racetrack depending on the direction of travel, orientation of magnets, and the sign of particle magnetic moment. As a result of the inhomogeneous magnetic field gradient, a particle in the field experiences a magnetic force due to its magnetic moment. The net direction of the magnetic force on particles is along a line between the opposing magnetic poles.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2005Publication date: January 11, 2007Inventor: Willard Schmidt

Publication number: 20070007469Abstract: Target 1 that is arranged in the disc direction is sprayed from nozzle 2 that has a slit-shaped aperture. Target 1 is conveyed on a gas stream. He gas is used in this example. Nozzle 2 may be vibrated by a piezo apparatus to spray disc-shaped target 1. Target 1 that is sprayed from nozzle 2 reaches the irradiation position of laser light with its direction unchanged since the exterior of nozzle 2 is maintained in a high vacuum. Synchronized with delivery of target 1, pulse laser light 5 from Nd:YAG light source 4 is focused by lens 3 and irradiated onto target 1. The spot diameter of the laser is the same 1 mm diameter as that of target 1. The thickness is not more than 1000 nm. Therefore, virtually the entire target is converted into plasma, debris generation is inhibited and the conversion efficiency is elevated.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 11, 2006Publication date: January 11, 2007Inventors: Katsuhiko Murakami, Hideya Inoue

Publication number: 20070007499Abstract: Speed limiter system to detect over speed and generate a signal to cut the power and if necessary operate brakes. It consist of the limiter itself, with a tension pulley. The limiter consists of weights connected by a mechanism that moves asymmetrically and by centrifugal force when an over speed occurs to operate the lever of an electrical contact, with the possibility of remote resetting using the necessary means. On the other hand, the tension pulley provides sufficient tension to both sections of the cable via an adjustable compression spring or by means of weights suspended on an articulated arm, both transmitting sufficient tension to the tension pulley axle.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2005Publication date: January 11, 2007Applicant: DYNATECH, DYNAMICS & TECHNOLOGY, S.L.Inventor: Francisco de Asis Mateo Mur

Publication number: 20070007500Abstract: A releasable post-cable connection includes a post having a top end extending above a ground level. The post having an internal cavity and a slot formed through a post face wall extending downward from the top end of the post in communication with the cavity and a hairpin connector carrying at least one cable and releasably mounted to the post. The hairpin cable connector includes an elongated section forming at least one loop adapted for disposing a cable, and a top section extending at an angle from the elongated member. The elongated section is substantially disposed within the cavity and the loop extends exterior of the cavity, and the top section hung on the top end of the post. When the post is impacted and urged toward the ground level the cable is released from the post.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 6, 2005Publication date: January 11, 2007Inventor: William Neusch

Publication number: 20070007501Abstract: A cable barrier system including a cable-release anchor assembly, a terminal end section having at least one terminal post, the terminal post disposed adjacent to and spaced from the cable-release anchor assembly, and a length of need section having a plurality of line posts spaced from each other, each line post having an internal cavity and a slot formed along a sidewall extending downward from its top end. At least one cable having a terminal end is connected intention between the cable-release anchor assembly and the posts, the cable connected to the cable-release anchor proximate its terminal end. The cable is releasably connected to the terminal post and the line posts. The cable is releasably connected to the line posts by post-cable connectors. The post-cable connector includes an elongated section forming loops, the elongated portion is disposed substantially within the cavity and the loops extend through the slot to the exterior of the cavity. The cable is slidably disposed in the loop.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 6, 2005Publication date: January 11, 2007Inventor: William Neusch

Publication number: 20070007503Abstract: A J shaped stanchion which attaches to a roof truss (or rafter) in such a manner as to enable the entire girth of the roof truss overhang (or rafter) to be the sole support for the stanchion. The enveloping connection is designed to exceed the 200 pound minimum impact currently required by OSHA for a slide guard or guardrail. This stanchion is designed to bend below the fascia and return up above the roof surface where successive stanchions similarly attached are connected via a fall protection guardtails providing fall protection for all workers. This single point of attachment allows the carpenters to attach the stanchions prior to hoisting the trusses onto the roof bearing walls. As soon as the trusses are properly braced, the guardrails can be hoisted and secured.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2005Publication date: January 11, 2007Inventors: Rafael Martinez, Joseph Martinez, James Harrison
