Abstract: To improve visibility by expanding a light emitting range without increasing a size of a light source, in a lighting unit for a vehicle using a projector lamp. A front light has a projector lamp arranged behind an outer lens. A light guiding body is provided from a side surface of the projector lamp to the front. A front surface of the light guiding body emits light along a bottom surface of the front light. A first reflector and a second reflector constituting an isolated extension section extending upwards are arranged opposite to each other holding a distance between them, at a side surface of the projector lamp. The periphery of the first reflector extends out slightly more than the second reflector to form a fringe light emitting section. This causes emission of light of the light guide path in a fringe shape.

When an application requests data from the data sources, the application transmits a set of ‘data descriptions’ which pertain to the set of requested data to the middleware apparatus, the middleware passing the data description to the data sources. The data sources respond by transmitting ‘all available data’ to the middleware apparatus. The adapters of the middleware will respond by generating ‘all available data pertaining to the data description’. The user will ‘map’ the set of ‘all available data pertaining to the data description’ with the set of ‘data descriptions’ thereby identifying ‘mapped available data’. The data sources will then generate the ‘mapped available data’.

Abstract: A method to store data is disclosed. The method provides a plurality of data storage media, an automated data library comprising one or more data storage devices, a first plurality of storage cells, and a robotic accessor. The method further provides a storage vault comprising a second plurality of storage cells but no data storage devices. The method selects the (i)th data storage medium and sets the (i)th data state, where that (i)th data state is selected from the group consisting of online, offline, and vault. If the method sets the (i)th data state is set to online, then the method mounts that (i)th data storage medium in one of the data storage devices. If the method sets the (i)th data state to offline, then the method removeably places the (i)th data storage medium in one of the first plurality of storage cells. If the method sets the (i)th data state is set to vault, then the method places the (i)th data storage medium in one of the second plurality of storage cells.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for implementing power saving in a content addressable memory (CAM). A compare array is matched against a key and if a match occurs then logic coupled to the compare array generates a hit signal. A data array includes precharge circuitry and data output latches to capture the data output. A clock gate coupled to the logic provides clock signals to the output latches and precharge circuitry of the data array when a hit occurs. When a hit does not occur, the clock signals are gated off to the output latches and precharge circuitry of the data array.

Abstract: The present invention provides a technique capable of simplifying a layout structure of a semiconductor device having a semiconductor memory section in which an input port and an output port are separated from each other, and which includes a bypass function. In a semiconductor memory device to be used as a semiconductor memory section of the semiconductor device, in a bypass mode, an output buffer outputs input data transmitted through a bypass line, extending from an input buffer circuit to the output buffer circuit, to an output port. In the layout structure of the semiconductor memory device, in plan view, a memory cell array is arranged between the input buffer circuit and the output buffer circuit, and a bypass line is arranged through between the memory cell arrays.

Abstract: A semiconductor die having a functional circuit (e.g., a memory array) and a decode circuit suitable for use in a stacked die semiconductor component (e.g., a random access memory component) is described. The decode circuit permits individual die in a stacked die structure to automatically determine their location or position in the stack and, in response to this determination, selectively pass one or more external control signals (e.g., chip select and clock enable signals) to the decode circuit's associated functional circuit based on inter-die connection patterns. This “self-configuring” capability permits all die designated for a specified functionality (e.g., a memory module including four vertically aligned die) to be uniformly or consistently manufactured. This, in turn, can reduce the cost to manufacture stacked die components.
