  • Patent number: 7211727
Abstract: The present invention overcomes the deficiencies with respect to the prior art devices by providing a plurality of straps joined together with frangible members which can be separated to form a gang of one or more straps which are coupled together for mounting wiring modules to wall boxes. The number of straps in a gang of straps used to couple the wiring modules to the wall boxes is determined by the number of wall boxes that are being used. Each strap of the present invention has a single opening defined by two side members where each side member has projections interposed with recesses for capturing and holding a wiring module. The modular strap accurately positions, aligns and locates all of the wiring modules relative to each other and positions them to a flat plane.

  • Patent number: 7211729
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved jack structure, includes a main body, a cover, two protective covers, a lock piece and a conductive piece. When an object is inserted into a single one of insertion holes each corresponding to one of the protective covers on the main body, a corresponding one of the protective covers is pushed to move. A protrusion of the pushed protective cover then pushes an urging portion of the lock piece and the urging portion is stopped by the other one of the protective covers. Therefore, the improved jack structure can be prevented from being inserted with an acute object and thus from occurrence of electric shock.

  • Patent number: 7211731
Abstract: A cable with a waterproof plug includes a cable including a wire and an insulating coating covering the outer circumferential surface of the wire, and a waterproof plug made of an elastic material. The waterproof plug is formed integrally with the cable so as to cover the outer circumferential surface of the insulating coating in an annular region along the length of the cable. The waterproof plug is united to the cable with an adhesive component. By connecting a terminal to the cable at a position nearer to one end of the cable than the portion where the waterproof plug is formed, a connector cable with a waterproof plug is obtained. The cable may be substantially circular in cross section or substantially rectangular in cross section, such as an FFC or FPC.

  • Patent number: 7211737
Abstract: A mounting board has a board, retaining members mounted on the upper surface of the board, and a part retained by the retaining members. The part is mounted such that at least a part thereof is arranged below the lower surface of the board, and that the part is electrically connected to the board through the retaining members. Such an arrangement as described above eliminates the need of connecting the discharge gap element to the board by using lead wires, and of mounting it on the upper surface of the board. This lowers the height of the board and admits an elevated part.

  • Patent number: 7211753
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a vehicle seat assembly comprising a seat support pan, a seat cushion, a spring biased lever and an operator present switch. Both the lever and the switch are located between the cushion and the pan, effectively integrated within the seat. The lever is movable between upper and lower positions, with its associated spring biasing the lever toward its upper position. The switch is designed and located so that all of its components are housed within the support pan and none of these components extends below or outside of the pan. When the seat is occupied, the occupant's weight depresses the cushion and, in turn, the lever moves against the force of the spring toward its lower position and the switch is actuated. Because the switch is located completely within the seat cushion, the seat assembly's vertical dimension or envelope is minimized and the design of the seat support and/or suspension located below the seat pan is simplified.

Moreover, the contact tube, the upper contact and the lower contact are substantially completely enclosed inside the casing. The disconnector is therefore closed, inside a protected environment, segregated, but not perfectly sealed. With the present invention all the drawbacks associated with unprotected air systems are avoided and a compact and safe apparatus preventing discharges between several phases is provided.

Abstract: A wire electric discharge machine and a wire electric discharge machining method in which a workpiece set posture is compensated for an error. After a workpiece is set and fixed on a workpiece table, an upper guide measures three or more three-dimensional positions that are not situated on one straight line on an upper surface of the workpiece, utilizing detection of contact with the upper surface. A unit normal vector is obtained, and a shift amount for shift from an originally set vertical position to a corrected position is calculated. In machining, the shift amount is added to the position to compensate for an angle error of a machined surface, and a deviation of a machined point position caused by inclination of the workpiece is collaterally compensated for. Thus, the machined shape cannot be distorted, and the workpiece set posture error can be compensated for.

Abstract: A system is configured to treat a conductive component. The system includes a power source, an interface configured to electrically contact with a surface of the conductive component, and a controller coupled to the power source and the interface. The controller is configured to pass electric current (e.g., electric pulses) from the power source through the interface and the component to melt tips of a set of cracks along the surface of the component. As the current passes around the set of cracks, the current generates localized heating in high-resistance dislocations at the crack tips to repair the cracks. Accordingly, such current heals the cracks and inhibits the cracks from spreading. Furthermore, the effect of the current remains localized thus enabling the current to strengthen the material around the cracks while easily avoiding damaging or weakening other portions of the component.

  • Patent number: 7211771
Abstract: A circuit is disclosed for detecting and eliminating the buildup of snow and/or ice on the viewable face of an LED traffic signal lens. The circuit measures the ambient temperature within the LED signal, and when the temperature falls to a level where snow and/or ice accumulation can occur, the circuit begins looking for snow and/or ice buildup on the lens of the LED signal. An infrared LED transmits a signal which is reflected when snow or ice is present on the lens of the traffic signal. When the reflected signal is received by an infrared receiver, it sends a signal to a microcontroller, which analyzes the signal to determine if it is a valid signal. If it is, a heater is turned on until the ice and snow are removed.
