  • Patent number: 7211928
Abstract: The invention utilizes a multiple frequency ultrasound generator driving a multiple frequency harmonic transducer array to improve cleaning and processing effects while eliminating damage to parts being cleaned. An AC switch and circuitry to modify the output of an ultrasound generator in combination with techniques such as random AM and FM signals are used to produce ultrasound waves that have no single frequency components which eliminates exciting parts being cleaned into resonance. Generator signals that increase cavitation efficiency and that have successive time periods with predominately stable cavitation and predominantly transient cavitation further improve the performance of the cleaning or processing systems.

  • Patent number: 7211937
Abstract: The present invention relates to animated devices that include one or more electroactive polymer transducers. When actuated by electrical energy, an electroactive polymer produces mechanical deflection in one or more directions. This deflection may be used to produce motion of a feature included in an animated device. Electroactive polymer transducers offer customizable shapes and deflections. Combining different ways to configure and constrain a polymer, different ways to arrange active areas on a single polymer, different animated device designs, and different polymer orientations, permits a broad range of animated devices that use an electroactive polymer transducer to produce motion. These animated devices find use in a wide range of animated device applications.

  • Patent number: 7211938
Abstract: A double-sided display device includes a pair of substrates, on which self-emitting elements are formed respectively, being bonded to each other. A lead wiring section of the self-emitting element area formed on one of the substrates and a lead wiring section of the self-emitting element area formed on the other substrate are formed on the same side of the substrates. Each of the lead wiring sections is formed in a part of the side of each of the substrates. In addition, cutout portions are formed in parts of the sides of the substrates where the lead wiring sections are not formed. Thus, in the double-sided display device, the lead wiring sections formed on ends of substrates can be easily connected with a driving circuit component, a wiring substrate or the like, while the space for the double-sided display device can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7211940
Abstract: In a flat image display device in which a first substrate having phosphor layers formed on an inner surface thereof and a second substrate having electron emitting elements which excite the phosphor layers are located opposite each other with a gap therebetween, the plate thickness of the second substrate is made smaller than the plate thickness of the first substrate. The second substrate is formed thinner than the first substrate so that it is more flexible. Even if spacers are subject to variation in height, therefore, the first and second substrates can be securely brought into contact with the spacers, whereby gaps between the spacers and the substrates can be eliminated, and electric discharge between the first and second substrates can be restrained.

  • Patent number: 7211941
Abstract: A deflection yoke includes a horizontal deflection coil, a vertical deflection coil, an insulating frame made of an insulating material, a deflection adjusting plate attached to an outer circumferential surface of the insulating frame, and a ferrite core covering at least a part of an outer circumference of the insulating frame. The deflection adjusting plate is fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the insulating frame, under the condition of being surrounded by a high-soft resin material with a hardness of 10 to 60. Because of this, even when the deflection adjusting plate vibrates during driving, the deflection adjusting plate does not directly bump into the insulating frame, so that the noise generated by the deflection yoke can be reduced significantly.

  • Patent number: 7211969
Abstract: A power driver circuit for a display panel. The power driver circuit includes a power controller, and a resident power system, which is coupled to an alternating power source and provides resident power for the power controller. When receiving an external on/off signal, the power controller will output driving signals to initiate or close the low-voltage power converter system and the high-voltage power converter system to determine whether a low-voltage power and a high-voltage power are output to drive the display panel. Thereby, when the display panel is in an off state, only the resident power system works. Thus, the power-saving demand of environmental protection is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 7211970
Abstract: A resonance load circuit is supplied with the high-frequency voltage from the inverter circuit, and includes an inductor, a capacitor and a discharge lamp. The resonance load circuit is so that a declination with respect to the lighting frequency fs is set to a range from ?20° to 40° in impedance when the discharge lamp is operating at rating. The CPU continuously generates a pulse voltage for driving on and off the switch elements at a cycle shorter than a lighting cycle of the discharge lamp based on program data and data stored in a memory, and makes pulse-width modulation with respect to an on-state width of the pulse voltage in accordance with a waveform change of a sinusoidal voltage corresponding to the lighting cycle, and further, supplies an approximately sinusoidal current to the discharge lamp using a high-frequency output from the inverter circuit.

  • Patent number: 7211971
Abstract: A linear actuator having a housing, a plunger slidably mounted to the housing between an extended and retracted position, and an electric motor drivingly connected to the plunger to move the plunger between its extended and retracted positions. A motor circuit controls the activation of the motor circuit and deactivates the motor circuit whenever the motor current exceeds a threshold value which varies as a function of the supply voltage to the electric motor and/or temperature. A memory storage unit stores the position of the plunger. Whenever the position of the plunger is in a state of transition between its retracted and extended position upon system initialization, the motor control circuit activates the motor to drive the plunger to a preselected extended or retracted position.
