Abstract: The present invention relates to a satellite tracking antenna system and a satellite tracking method. Step tracking in which the size of a satellite signal sampled in at least one position in which a reflector of the satellite tracking antenna system is tilted is compared to track a satellite is performed, and a measured value of the satellite signal sampled in a specific position in which the reflector is tilted in N?1th tracking and a measured value of the satellite signal sampled in the specific position in which the reflector is tilted in Nth tracking are averaged to compute a value. The reflector is driven according to the value to track the satellite, thereby minimizing a satellite tracking error caused by a sudden movement of a mobile body equipped with the satellite tracking antenna system.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for forming an antenna beam from an array antenna having a rear facing side, an aperture, and including a first and a second radiating element. The method comprises injecting a synchronization signal wirelessly from a common source at the rear facing side of the array antenna to provide an initial calibration of the array antenna that synchronizes phase of an output signal from the first and second radiating elements to the common source. The method further comprises compensating a change in phase of the synchronization signal at the first radiating element based on a spatial displacement to synchronize phase of a first portion of the output signal from the first radiating element to the phase of the synchronization signal at the second radiating element in response to the spatial displacement of the first radiating element after the initial calibration of the antenna array.

Abstract: A waterproof mechanism for a satellite antenna is to separate a waterproof cover of the known technology into two components of a fixing cover and a thin wall cap used for compressing an O-ring, cause the thin wall cap and the O-ring to be combined closely and stably on the upper end of a wave-guide tube, and enable the stability and the strength of the entirety to be increased. But, the thin wall cap is unnecessary to have a same thickness as the fixing cover. Therefore, the thickness of the thin wall cap can approximately be reduced to 3 mm. This can increase broadly the passing rate of satellite signal and allow a low noise block with integrated feed (LNBF) to have a better satellite signal receiving effect.

Abstract: An analog output buffer circuit for a flat panel display is provided for improving an output signal distortion. The circuit includes a transistor, a current source, an input capacitor, an upper switch, a lower switch, a first switch, a second switch and a third switch. In which, the transistor and the current source are electrically connected in series between a first power supply and a second power supply. The current source provides a compensatory current for the transistor when a leakage current occurs. The upper switch and the first switch are turned on during the first period, and the lower switch and the second switch are turn on during the second period, in which the second period is after the first period. Those switches eliminate the drawback of different voltage levels between the input signal and the output signal obtained from the output buffer circuit inputted by the input signal.

Abstract: An LCD source driving circuit includes a gray voltage generator and a D/A converter. The gray voltage generator receives reference gray voltages to generate gray voltages having 2n different voltage levels. The D/A converter has 2n conversion paths and selects one gray voltage according to a received n-bit data among the 2n gray voltages to output the selected gray voltage. The source driving circuit may adjust voltage differences between the neighboring conversion paths when testing the D/A converter.

Abstract: A display array organization used in a display panel is provided. The display array includes a data line, a first scan line, a second scan line, a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, a front-end switch and an intermediary switch. The first pixel electrode is connected to the data line with the front-end switch, and the second pixel electrode is connected to the first pixel electrode with the intermediary switch. The operation of the front-end switch and intermediary switch are controlled by the first and second scan line respectively. When only the front-end switch is activated, the first pixel electrode can receive the data signal from the data line. When both the front-end and intermediary switches are activated, the second pixel electrode can receive a data signal from the data line.

Abstract: The present invention applies to provide a lighting method of a high pressure discharge lamp dedicated particularly for image equipments in which re-lighting when turning ON the switch again immediately after the switch OFF is instantaneously performed even in the high pressure discharge lamp. In the transition state of transitioning from the lighted state to light off, the lamp power to be supplied to the electrodes (3), (4) is reduced to an extent an arc discharge does not disappear and maintained for a while, and thereafter, transitioned to the glow discharge after lowering the lamp temperature to a temperature capable of maintaining the glow discharge and maintaining the glow discharge for a while, and the current supply to the electrodes (3), (4) is cut at the point the lamp temperature becomes lower than or equal to the temperature at which re-lighting is possible.

Abstract: An improved apparatus and method for measuring and reporting the amount of time an LCD panel backlight has been in operation. Various embodiments of the invention can provide backlight usage data that can be correlated with vendor-specified lifetime curves to determine its remaining life. In various embodiments these correlations can be used by service personnel when diagnosing defective LCD panels to determine whether the backlight should be replaced, thereby reducing the number of follow-on service requests.

In the dimming structure, a backlight unit has a plurality of light sources disposed therein. A display panel displays an image while the backlight unit is disposed to light the display panel. A contrast panel is disposed between the backlight unit and the display panel. The contrast panel has a light emitting window formed in a portion thereof corresponding to the image of the display panel to transmit light emitted from the backlight unit therethrough. The dimming structure assures uniform dimming effects on the portion around the image despite use of a light source bigger than the image to be outputted.
