Abstract: Stick welding electrode rating and ranking procedures are provided for determining stackability performance of stick electrodes for pipe welding operations. The rating technique involves performance of a standardized vertical down weld procedure using a stick electrode to form a weld bead in a test workpiece groove, in which the electrode is maintained during welding at a substantially constant angle relative to the workpiece groove. The electrode is advanced toward the groove at a slow speed to deposit molten metal in the groove while keeping the molten metal above the stick electrode end or the arc thereof without dripping. The resulting bead distance is measured along with the welding time and the stick electrode is rated according to a ratio of the weld time and the bead distance.

A cover pivots on the enclosure which when closed overlies the upper ends of the rods and closes the top of the enclosure formed by the rods. A pair of wheels is mounted to a lower corner of the frame and a handle facilitates handling of the cart. Tubular parts may be stored on the cart by placing them around the rods so that the tubular parts can be easily counted. Crates bearing non-tubular parts and tools can be stacked within the enclosure.

Abstract: A plastic container for a particulate product has a footprint and includes a base and at least two and preferably four sides upstanding therefrom which generally define a container main interior volume. A top connects to the sides and includes a large opening which is closed by a lid. One corner includes a pass-through handle located therein having a generally vertical segment which may define a hollow cavity in communication with the main interior volume. The opening of the top is sufficiently large to extend over a portion of the hollow cavity; or is sufficiently wide to receive about a 5? diameter cylinder therethrough, and has a ratio of a minimum span to a bottom diagonal of at least about ?. A shoulder between the top and sides has an angle of less than about 40°. The handle is configured and sized for easy grasping and holding.

Abstract: A holder for storing an SCBA tank in a vehicle includes a frame configured to support the SCBA tank in a storage position. A first arm is coupled to the frame for movement about a first pivot point and a second arm is coupled to the frame for movement about a second pivot point The first arm and the second arm are movable between a closed position and an open position, so that the arms restrain the SCBA tank when the arms are in the closed position and permit removal of the SCBA tank when the arms are in the open position. An inertial lock device is coupled to at least one of the arms to prevent removal of the SCBA tank when a predetermined acceleration or deceleration is applied to the arms.

Abstract: An insulation container includes a flexible exterior container and a rigid interior container for maintaining stored items at a cool temperature. The exterior housing includes a lid for selectively sealing the entire open top thereof for selectively inserting or removing large or multiple items, the lid having an auxiliary door for quickly removing small or single items from the internal storage area. Opening only the auxiliary door also helps to maintain the internal temperature for a longer time than is possible if the entire lid is opened. The interior housing may be constructed of stainless steel for enhanced insulation with an intermediate housing sandwiched between interior and exterior housings. The intermediate housing may include a rubber material for preventing condensation from forming on the exterior housing.

Abstract: An improved no-spill cup construction and valve assembly. When not in use, an opening in the flexible material rests against a blocking element, sealing off the opening against the flow of liquid. The closed position provides an extremely secure seal against fluid leakage, such that inadvertent spills, such as by turning the cup upside down, are ineffective. The act of sucking at the cup spout creates negative pressure or a partial vacuum against the flexible material, lifting the opening off of the blocking element, and unblocking that opening. When the opening is unblocked, liquid can flow freely through the valve and spout.
