Abstract: A hydraulic brake unit applies braking force to a plurality of wheels of a vehicle according to the operation of a brake pedal. A pressure increase linear control valve supplies hydraulic fluid from an accumulator to wheel cylinders of disc brake units of the respective wheels. Pressure-sustaining valves are placed in passages that extend from a first passage to the rear wheel cylinders. A pressure-increase response-delay reduction section closes the pressure-sustaining valves for a predetermined period of time after starting the hydraulic pressure control to temporarily limit the inflow of hydraulic fluid into the wheel cylinders that communicate with the first passage. Thus, the amount of the hydraulic fluid that is supplied to the second passage is increased, and it is possible to reduce the hydraulic pressure response delay in the second passage.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electrical machine 1 with reduced cogging. The magnet poles 3 of the electrical machine are comprised of at least two separate groups of at least two circumferentially adjacent magnet poles. One of the circumferentially outer magnet poles 3 in one of the groups of magnet poles is defined as being in its reference position. The reference position of each other magnet pole 3 is defined as the position each other magnet pole would occupy if all the magnet poles were equally circumferentially spaced around the first or second body and the one circumferentially outer pole was in its reference position. At least one of the circumferentially outer magnet poles 3 in each group is sited in its reference position. At least one magnet pole 3 in each group is a displaced magnet pole and is sited in a position that is displaced from its reference position by an amount that is not equal to an integral multiple of the reference angular pitch of the winding slots.

Abstract: Disclosed is a rotor of a generator or motor having an auxiliary coil provided around a rotor body, thereby preventing the distortion of output voltage waveforms according to the variation of load, and thereby allowing the fine adjustment of the output voltages of the generator by the control of the current flowing to the auxiliary coil. The rotor of a generator or motor includes: a rotor body adapted to axially rotate together with a rotor shaft; at least one set of N-polar and S-polar permanent magnet groups arranged along the circumferential direction of the rotor body at predetermined intervals; and a plurality of magnetic flux-increasing elements formed on the lines of magnetic force formed by the N-polar and S-polar permanent magnet groups around one side of the rotor body.

Abstract: A plurality of magnets are arranged in accommodating holes each extending in a radial direction. A rotor core is provided with an extension portion in a circumferential direction extending further outward in the circumferential direction with respect to the magnet from at least one of a radially outer end and a radially inner end in the accommodating hole, and a radial regulating portion regulating a movement of the magnet in the radial direction. The radial regulating portion extends in the radial direction so as to correspond to a center in the circumferential direction of the accommodating hole. The dimension in the circumferential direction of a portion of the radial regulating portion that is brought into contact with the magnet is smaller than the dimension in the circumferential direction of the magnet.

Abstract: In a direct cranking electric rotary machine as an axial air-gap motor having an improved configuration mounted on a vehicle, a stator is faced to an end part on a surface of a rotor. The rotor also acts as a flywheel for an engine mounted on the vehicle. The length of a circumference of the stator is limited below 180 deg. of its entire circumference. This configuration enables a repair man to easily detach and repair components forming the direct cranking electric rotary machine.
