Abstract: Provided is a method for encoding an orientation-independent dot based data package template for printing on a carrier. The method includes the step of allocating a number of background entries for printing as background dots on the carrier to define a constant background pattern detectable by a reader. The background pattern has an orientation component to indicate an orientation of the carrier to said reader. The method also includes the step of allocating a number of data entries for printing as data dots in a data area on the carrier for detection by the reader. The pattern and data area defines an arbitrary shaped data package indicating how the data itself is stored as dots within the data package.

Abstract: A label that can display information that is electronically written to the label is used instead of a traditional printed paper label on an electronic product. The label itself is made from any suitable material that can be electronically written that will maintain the last display state when power is removed from the label. The preferred embodiments include a memory that includes product information on the electronic product, along with a label interface that reads the product information from the memory and displays corresponding information on the label. The label interface monitors the product information in the memory, and anytime the product information changes, the label interface automatically writes the changed product information to the label. The result is a label for an electronic product that is automatically updated each time the electronic product changes to reflect the current state of the electronic product.

Abstract: A model toy train track segment in accordance with the present invention comprises an elongate roadbed having a first and a second end and a first and a second side. The said first and second ends of the track segment are configured for attachment to adjacent track segments. Abstract: An aerosol dispenser assembly is provided that enables a compressed gas propellant to be used to deliver liquid product in a fine mist, whereby the droplets of the mist have mean Sauter diameters of less than 35 ?m. The dispensing system includes the use of a compressed gas propellant that is soluble in the liquid product at room temperature but that has a reduced solubility in the liquid product at temperatures exceeding room temperature The system also includes a valve attached to a pressurized container containing the liquid product and gas propellant. The valve includes an actuator cap that has a swirl chamber and an exit orifice and a built-in heater that at least partially surrounds the swirl chamber.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for safely and for efficient controlling adult populations of flying pests. A self-contained reservoir system for automated misting of pesticides (as opposed to merely spraying) is disclosed which can be operated in remote location without the availability of line power or pressurized water. The present automated spraying system comprises a secure controller unit with locking features, and a plurality of dispersing elements attached to the unit. Enclosed within the weatherproof and secure enclosure of the unit is a controller, pump, pesticide reservoir and power source for delivering controlled amounts of a pesticide mixture to the dispersing elements. The pump is capable of producing pressures sufficient for producing a mist from the dispersing elements. The pesticide reservoir holds pre-measured and premixed pesticide that can be used for direct treatment of an area. A misting schedule is entered into the controller, or timer.

Abstract: A pull-out faucet has a spray head with spray selection and pause control. A spring-loaded push button interrupts outlet spray entirely as long as it is being depressed. A rocker button controls spray through inner and outer sets of outlet orifices, for example, giving the user the option of an aerated water jet or an unaerated shower. The rocker button mounts on an integral pivot post of a valve body that houses a diverter valve that is controlled by the rocker button. The rocker button has a pair of legs that extend through openings in the valve body to engage a groove in the diverter valve. Pivoting the rocker button about a pivot axis by depressing either its forward or aft portion, moves the diverter valve along a valve axis to route flow to either the inner or outer orifices.

The aforementioned chamber is equipped with a discharge conduit having an axis which is inclined in relation to the axis of symmetry t an angle. According to the invention, the conduit is formed such that the position of the point of origin of the axis thereof is offset in relation the origin of the axis of symmetry by a distance which depends on the value of the angle of inclination of the conduit: along a direction which depends on the position and the cross-section of the channels, and in a sense which is counter to the orientation of the conduit.

The labyrinth includes a bottom wall constructed to produce, adjacent to the bottom wall, a significant laminar flow of water in which the laminar flow decreases, and thereby turbulent flow increases, with an increase in the water pressure within the tube to thereby provide pressure-compensation for the water flow through the respective tube outlet.

Abstract: A touch pad control information system for a food waste disposer is disclosed. The touch pad is mountable to a wall or countertop near the food waste disposer. The touch pad preferably includes switches which allow the user to select from a plurality of disposer functions, and light emitting diodes (LEDs) or other graphic display to indicate one of a plurality of statuses for the disposer. The touch pad is coupled to the disposer by a wire bus or by wireless means.

Abstract: In a single-reel type tape cartridge, a floating-lock structure comprising lock pieces and a lock spring for locking and biasing the lock pieces is provided between an upper surface of a tape reel and an upper case. On each of the lock piece are provided a restriction member for restricting upward movement of the tape reel and a releaser that is subjected to an unlocking operation performed an unlock member in a tape drive. Entry grooves for the unlock members are formed on an outer surface of the upper case, and the releasers are exposed in the entry grooves from operation openings provided in part of the entry grooves. When a main body case is loaded in the tape drive, the releasers are subjected to the unlocking operation by the unlock members so that the restriction members can move and evacuate upward in a hub space surrounded by a reel hub.

Abstract: The invention provides a taper tool, including a movable sleeve that has flanges with inclined surfaces for use as hand-holds. The sleeve rides on bearings, which are mounted in recesses out of the user's way. A spring-loaded wireform retainer secures the bearings in their respective recesses. The retainers include quick-change tabs that hold the retainers in a servicing position that permits the bearings to be easily removed and replaced. The taper tool also includes a spool mounting assembly having a guard rod that swings out and away from a tape spool for facilitating replenishment of the tape. When the guard rod is in the closed position, it is secured by a detent located on the tape spool spindle. The spool mounting assembly includes a base, a tape spool, a spindle, a guard rod and an end protector having rounded, grippable exterior edges.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for making and winding bags is disclosed. The bag machine includes an unwind section, a forming section, and a winder. The winder has an infeed nip and two spindles. Each spindle is located along a respective one of two alternative film paths. The spindles can be fixed position spindles and the alternative film paths can be predominantly downward. An over speed nip may be provided between the infeed nip and the alternative film paths to separate rolls or to separate all bags. An overlapper can be included. Rods that travel in an elliptical orbit, and/or air nozzles can be part of the overlapper. Air nozzles can also be used to direct the film to the appropriate alternative path. Conveyor belts along the alternative film paths can be used to guide the film. Static pinners can be used to help bold the bags to the conveyor, or the last bag to the roll. Pop-up fingers and air horns can help start the roll on a spindle. Paper banders can be use, as can pneumatic devices.

When using the relatively simple apparatus, a single operator can efficiently collect infinite quantities of hose fitted with hose couplings.

When energized, the plasma generating device generates a plasma within a fluid flow and reduces body flow separation of the fluid flow over the surface of the body. Abstract: A wall mounting bracket installed includes a body and a slidable wing that slides along the body and mates with the discrete attachment positions along the body. In preferred embodiments the body can have a substantially rectangular perimeter and a substantially rectangular opening or a substantially ovoid perimeter and a substantially ovoid opening. It is also contemplated that the body can a perimeter that is of a different shape than the opening or multiple of openings within one perimeter. The opening area preferably have an area of at least 20 in2 and the body has a perimeter-opening distance of less than 1 inch and at least one entry position with markings. Furthermore, the mating portion-opening distance of bracket is less than 0.9 in. Preferred embodiment includes a commercial product comprising the bracket with a body, the slidable wing in which the wing can be pre-attached to the body or not.
