Abstract: A dispenser for disposable hygienic articles such as wipes or towels in stacks or rolls, or soap, includes a clamp suitable for securing the dispenser to a supporting structure such as the edge of a shelf or a table. The clamp includes a stationary clamping part for engaging one side of the supporting structure, a movable clamping part for engaging an opposite side of the supporting structure, and a device for urging the clamping parts towards each other so as to tighten the clamp about the supporting structure. The stationary and the movable clamping part each have a clamping face. Spacing between the clamping faces of the stationary clamping part and the movable clamping part is variable so as to adapt the clamp to supporting structures of different thicknesses.

Abstract: A low profile bone screw system includes a retainable washer and a low profile bone screw having a smooth conical head for insertion into the washer. The washer has an axial bore with a conical portion for fully seating the screw head and a smooth outer surface shaped like the head of a conventional compression bone screw head. Washer dispensing units are also provided for assembling screw and washer assembled units.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for automatically adjusting the amount of ice that may be delivered from an ice storage reservoir to a point of use, such as from an ice reservoir of a combination beverage dispenser and ice reservoir to a container, with a high degree of accuracy, consistency and repeatability. The method and apparatus may be controlled by means of a program and/or logic sequence stored in a memory to allow a wide range of ice volumes to be measured, metered and dispensed. The apparatus may include an ice reservoir, a mechanism for dispensing ice to a point of use disposed in communication with the ice reservoir, and an ice metering device disposed in communication with both the ice reservoir and the mechanism for dispensing ice.

Abstract: A fluid application system includes a diluent reservoir, a chemical container, a sprayer housing, a manifold located in the sprayer housing, and a pump assembly in fluid communication with an outlet of the manifold. The manifold includes a diluent inlet in fluid communication with the diluent reservoir, a chemical inlet in fluid communication with the container, a mixing chamber in fluid communication with the diluent inlet and the chemical inlet and the outlet of the manifold. The pump assembly draws a mixture of the chemical and the diluent from the manifold and sprays the mixture of the chemical and the diluent from the nozzle.

Abstract: Embodiments of a container system for ingestion by humans and method of storing and dispensing liquids for ingestion by humans that include at least at least one first structure that can be in the general shape of a bottle. The system further includes at least one at least partially flexible container that is positioned at least partially in an inner space. The system also includes at least one liquid passageway and at least one air purger that is capable of purging air out of the at least one at least partially flexible container through at least one opening. The system also includes at least one ball check valve and at least one manually initiated valve. The invention also includes embodiments of an air pump purging system and embodiments of a method for an air pump purging system for a container system for liquids ingestible by humans.

Abstract: A package for paste-like products is designed as a packet of a flexible material whose body is defined by walls, a bottom, and a top. The top comprises a covering element, and an opening line is provided between the covering element and the rest of the body. The opening line can include incisions or perforations and a notch at the edge to ease opening the packet. Provided in the area adjacent to the opening line are strip-like forming elements made of inflexible material. The strips are nearly as long as the opening line, and thanks to their inflexibility, the mouth of the opened packet is defined by the strips and looks like a slot with at least two opposite sides parallel to each other. This structure results in obtaining a band of the paste-like product having a substantially uniform thickness when it comes out of the packet.

Abstract: A laundry caddy device is disclosed that provides a precise way of measuring an amount of laundry solvent, and offers several inter-lockable containers that form one easy to carry bottle. Typically, there are four containers which are inter-locked together to form the single component. The device comprises at least one container, a base component, and a dispensing component. The container further comprises an interior cavity for retaining an amount of laundry solvent. The base component is removably secured to the bottom end and the dispensing component is removably secured to the top end. The lid and handle are removably secured to the top end, over the dispensing component. Additionally, at least one of the containers comprises a measuring cup for a dispensing component. Further, at least one of the containers comprises a pour spout, a retaining cup, and a vacuum tube for dispensing the contents of the container.

Abstract: A dilution ratio adjusting apparatus in a beverage dispenser and a method of dilution adjustment calculates driving pulse numbers and pulse frequencies necessary for operating tube pumps discharging concentrated syrup based on dilution ratio information and basic flow rate information for discharging the concentrated syrup to thereby control the operation of the tube pumps, whereby easy and quick change in setting of the beverage dispenser is achieved even when changing of a concentrated syrup to another concentrated syrup with a different dilution ratio.

The apparatus includes a heated receptacle support structure positioned to hold a disposable receptacle underneath the outflow. The outflow is mounted to the lid of the main reservoir, and can be cleaned when the lid is removed. The outflow outlet and the receptacle support structure are both located in exposed positions to facilitate cleaning. The pre-heat, main reservoir, outflow, and receptacle support structure are heated by a single heating system, by thermal conduction. The outside of the unit is kept substantially free of unnecessary obstructions to facilitate cleaning.

Abstract: Disposable refill units, and pumps for disposable refill units for foam dispensers are disclosed herein. Exemplary embodiments include a container for holding a foamable liquid and a pump secured to the container. The pump includes a liquid chamber formed between a liquid inlet valve and a liquid outlet valve. In addition, the pump includes a sleeve that is located at least partially within the liquid chamber. One or more liquid passages are defined at least in part by an area located between an exterior wall of the sleeve and a wall of the liquid chamber. The pump also includes a piston body having a head and a sealing member located at a first end of the piston. The sealing member forms a seal against the interior wall of the sleeve and the piston head moves within the sleeve to reduce and enlarge the volume of the liquid chamber.

Abstract: Disposable refill units, and pumps for disposable refill units for foam dispensers are disclosed herein. Exemplary embodiments include a container for holding a foamable liquid and a pump secured to the container. The housing is assembled into the closure and the diaphragm is assembled into the housing. The mesh insert is positioned adjacent the foam outlet. The valve structure is provided in two (2) embodiments, one being a duckbill valve with a corresponding holder and the other being a metering valve with a corresponding holder.

The cap assembly can comprise a rigid cap body configured to be secured to a liquid container, a spout comprising a resiliently flexible tube extending through a passageway in the cap body, and a shut-off trigger slidably mounted in the cap body and adjustable between an open position and a closed position relative to the cap body, wherein when the trigger is in the open position, the tube is open to allow liquid to flow through the spout, and when the trigger is in the closed position, the tube is closed to block liquid flow through the spout. The cap assembly can also include a mouthpiece valve that remains sealed until the bottle is squeezed to pressurize a lumen within the mouthpiece and squirt fluid out of the spout or the mouthpiece is pinched to open the seal.

Abstract: A chemical applicator for use in a farm implement including a hopper, an auger, at least one agitator disc mounted to the hopper and a proportional rate device. The chemical applicator is configured to store material in the hopper and discharge the material from the auger on to seed or grain discharged from the farm implement. The at least one agitator disc is positioned such that it is driven by the auger. Therefore, the agitator disc does not need a separate motor to drive it. The proportional rate device controls the rate of the auger relative to the rate at which seed or grain is discharged from the farm implement.

Abstract: The present invention relates to maximizing advertising space on product packaging. Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method of increasing advertising space on various product packaging by increasing the graphic space on and apparent volume of the packaging, such as those used for cosmetics and toiletries. Preferred embodiments include a product packaging with a partially or completely recessed container closure. Further preferred embodiments include a container closure that is threaded, fused, or snapped in to the body of the container. Embodiments of the invention can be modified to accommodate existing products or provide a unique package design for emerging products.
