Publication number: 20140202220Abstract: A cooler access control system locks a cooler when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler door open while stocking the cooler with product.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2013Publication date: July 24, 2014Inventors: William Denison, Calin Roatis

Publication number: 20140202222Abstract: A tank or bed has a plurality of sidewalls that create a bed cavity and a Fresnel panel frame that includes at least one Fresnel panel. The Fresnel panel frame may be adjacent to the bed cavity and may cover at least a portion of the bed cavity. An amount of sludge may be contained within the bed cavity. When placed in sunlight, the heat enhanced by the Fresnel panels may heat the sludge sufficiently for the sludge to be used as fertilizer.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2013Publication date: July 24, 2014Inventor: Gary Hammond

Publication number: 20140202223Abstract: According to the die cushion apparatus of a press machine and the die cushion controlling method of the present invention, in holding the cushion pad on standby at a desired standby position, it is possible to hold the cushion pad on standby in parallel with the lower faces of the dies mounted to the slide, and if the lower faces of the dies are inclined, it is possible to hold the cushion pad on standby in the state of being inclined. Through this configuration, it is possible to easily allow the material to come into contact with the lower faces of the dies from the beginning of the die cushion force control (beginning of the collision), and also possible to smoothen the die cushion action in the plane, thereby enhancing the formability.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2014Publication date: July 24, 2014Applicant: AIDA ENGINEERING, LTD.Inventors: Yasuyuki KOHNO, Tadahiro KONDO, Ryosho IWAMURA

Publication number: 20140202224Abstract: A control device for a rolling plant, which is capable of reducing the pouring amount of cooling water by pouring cooling water at timing of high cooling efficiency when a material being rolled is cooled, and thereby being capable of saving the energy consumption. The control device includes a plurality of rolling stands that are arranged in tandem on a rolling line to roll the material being rolled of a metallic material conveyed on the rolling line, and inter-stand cooling systems that are provided between the plurality of rolling stands to pour cooling water onto the conveyed material being rolled. The inter-stand cooling systems are configured so that the pouring amount of cooling water poured from the inter-stand cooling system positioned on the upstream side on the rolling line is larger, and the pouring amount of cooling water poured from the inter-stand cooling system positioned on the downstream side is smaller.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2011Publication date: July 24, 2014Applicant: TOSHIBA MITSUBISHI-ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS CORPORATIONInventors: Hiroyuki Imanari, Kei Kubota

Publication number: 20140202225Abstract: A duct making apparatus includes a first station configured to accept a formable sheet material and a second station configured to receive the formable sheet material from the first station. The first station includes a mechanism for forming one of a male lock bend and a female lock seam in a leading edge of the formable sheet material. The second station includes a retractable conveyor. Movement of the sheet material from the first station to the second station defines an axis of travel of the sheet material. The retractable conveyor is selectively movable from a first position in which the retractable conveyor is in close association with the first station, and a second position in which the retractable conveyor is spaced from the first station.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2014Publication date: July 24, 2014Applicant: MESTEK MACHINERY, INC.Inventor: Randy Runyan

Publication number: 20140202227Abstract: An user calibratable environmental sensors for providing a solution for environmental monitoring sensors to be calibrated by users through a simple interface whereas previously such calibration, if possible depending on hardware, could only be achieved by doing it through a factory calibration requiring the user to send his sensors back to the manufacturer or to a calibration service provider. The user calibratable environmental sensors generally include a solution to solve the problem of environmental sensors that over time lose accuracy. In such cases typically calibration of the sensor probes is required. The invention solves this by enabling calibration within the logical unit controlling and/or communicating with the sensor probes. This allows a longer life time for sensor probes by enabling users to calibrate themselves their sensors if needed be.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2014Publication date: July 24, 2014Inventor: Maarten Van Laere

Publication number: 20140202228Abstract: Motion is induced in a conduit that contains a fluid. The motion is induced such that the conduit oscillates in a first mode of vibration and a second mode of vibration. The first mode of vibration has a corresponding first frequency of vibration and the second mode of vibration has a corresponding second frequency of vibration. At least one of the first frequency of vibration or the second frequency of vibration is determined. A phase difference between the motion of the conduit at a first point of the conduit and the motion of the conduit at a second point of the conduit is determined. A quantity based on the phase difference and the determined frequency is determined. The quantity includes a ratio between the first frequency during a zero-flow condition and the second frequency during the zero-flow condition. A property of the fluid is determined based on the quantity.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 12, 2014Publication date: July 24, 2014Applicant: Invensys Systems, Inc.Inventor: Michael S. Tombs
