Publication number: 20140209728Abstract: A stator core is formed from a continuous strip of wound sheet stock material, in which the sheet stock material is converted from the sheet stock to a formed material including winding slot cutouts. This strip of formed material is then wound into the stator core, with the winding slot cutouts in the formed material maintained at a substantially constant width throughout most of the radial extent of the resulting winding slots in the finished article. However, one or more of the radially innermost and radially outermost layers may define winding slot cutouts that are wider than the other winding slot cutouts. Where several radial layers are altered in this way, the cutout widths are progressively expanded such that the resulting winding slot has terminal ends with edges that are effectively “radiused” or rounded, thereby protecting windings near the edge of such slots.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2013Publication date: July 31, 2014Applicant: L.H. Publication number: 20140209763Abstract: In one embodiment, the present disclosure provides an apparatus and method for supporting a tubing bundle during installation or removal. The apparatus includes a clamp for securing the tubing bundle to an external wireline. In various examples, the clamp is external to the tubing bundle or integral with the tubing bundle. According to one method, a tubing bundle and wireline are deployed together and the tubing bundle periodically secured to the wireline using a clamp. In another embodiment, the present disclosure provides an apparatus and method for coupling conduit segments together. A first pump obtains a sample and transmits it through a first conduit to a reservoir accessible by a second pump. The second pump further conducts the sample from the reservoir through a second conduit. In a specific example, one or more clamps are used to connect the first and/or second conduits to an external wireline.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2014Publication date: July 31, 2014Applicant: Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education, on behalf of the Desert Research InstitInventors: David L. Publication number: 20140209766Abstract: A retaining apparatus includes a first bracket, a second bracket, and an operation member. The first bracket includes two sidewalls. The second bracket includes two side plates slidably attached to the sidewalls, respectively. The operation member includes an operation portion, a mounting piece fixed to the second sidewall, and an engaging piece. A flange extends from one of the side plates of the second bracket. When the second bracket and the first bracket slide toward each other, the engaging piece abuts against a first end of the flange. The operation portion is pressed inward to release the engaging piece from the flange, and the second bracket is slid out relative to the first bracket until the engaging piece is restored to abut against a second end of the flange.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2013Publication date: July 31, 2014Applicant: HON HAI PRECISION INDUSTRY CO., LTD.Inventors: YU-SHUN CHANG, HSUAN-CHANG CHEN, CHUNG-PING LIU

Publication number: 20140209768Abstract: A European mount for display of an animal skull and any attached features comprising a skull mounting bracket utilizing a single support prong with incorporated stabilizing wings sized to fit within the foramen magnum to hold the skull in a natural, upright position while allowing for easy placement and removal of the skull, fastened to a customizable base support plate modeled after the natural features of the animal. The skull mounting bracket has a planar end opposing the support prong for mounting to the support plate. When an animal skull is mounted and the present embodiment of the invention is affixed to a vertical surface, the support plate will line up with the features on the animal skull such that said support plate will appear as a shadow cast by the mounted animal on the vertical surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2014Publication date: July 31, 2014Applicant: Northeast Machinery Network, INC.Inventors: Darren Maria, Keith Jennings

Publication number: 20140209772Abstract: A spacing tool and a method for facilitating the de-stacking of vertically stacked items are disclosed. The spacing tool comprises an attachment arm and a spacing arm pivotably coupled to a pivot. The attachment arm comprises one or more suitable fasteners for attaching the first arm to a load. The spacing arm is rotatable about the pivot between an open position and a support position. The pivot comprises a biasing mechanism for biasing the spacing arm to the support position. To create and maintain a clearance between an upper load and a lower load therebelow, one may rotate the spacing arm to the open position, and vertically attach the attachment arm to a side of either the upper load or the lower load such that the second arm rests against the other load. Then the upper load is lifted to create a space sufficient for the spacing arm to rotate, at which time the biasing mechanism automatically rotates the spacing arm to the support position for maintaining a clearance between the upper and lower loads.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2014Publication date: July 31, 2014Applicant: STRAD ENERGY SERVICES LTD.Inventor: Paulie Ann YEATER
