Abstract: A packing apparatus for packing a substance in a container includes a filling unit configured to facilitate filling of the substance in the container and a compacting unit configured to compactly pack the filled substance in the container. The filling unit includes a moveable filling member moveable from at least a first filling position to a second filling position. The compacting unit includes a moveable compacting member moveable from at least a first compacting position to a second compacting position. At least one of the first compacting position and the second compacting position of the moveable compacting member is in relation to at least one of the first filling position and the second filling position of the moveable filling member. The moveable compacting member is moveable with a preconfigured compaction force that is a function of one or more properties of the container.

Abstract: A container-orienting device includes container-holder groups, each having rotatable container-holders separated from each other by at least one rotatable container-holder from another container-holder group such that no two rotatable container-holders from a particular container-holder group are next to each other. The device also has a plurality of drives, each of which rotates only container holders from a corresponding container-holder group. The container holders are organized into container-holder sequences, each of which comprises equal numbers of container holders from different container-holder groups arranged in a particular order. These sequences following one another along the conveying direction.

Abstract: A bottle is provided that may include an outer container including a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a top portion, a base portion, a bevel positioned in the corner of the outer container, and a mouth; an inner container adapted to fit within the mouth of outer container and into the interior of the outer container, the inner container comprising one or more side openings for allowing a liquid to pass through the inner container; wherein the bevel is adapted to support the bottle on a tilted angle; and wherein the outer container comprises at least one front indent and at least one back indent extending into the interior portion of the bottle, thereby maintaining the inner container within a portion of the outer container. There also may be elevations and indentations on the surfaces to hold the bottles in place when stacked on top of each other and when stored side-by-side.

Abstract: A container for storing liquid having a bowl removably secured on a lower end thereof. The container defines an interior volume for storing liquid, such as water. The container includes an upper end having a body and an opening, wherein the opening can receive liquid therethrough. A lower end of the container includes threading disposed around an exterior thereof, between a first and second end. A bowl is removably securable to the threading of the lower end of the container so as to allow a user to selectively detach the bowl from the container and fill the bowl with liquid stored within the container. In one embodiment, the lower end of the container includes a smaller width than a width of the body of the upper end so as to allow a sidewall of the bowl to align with a sidewall of the body.

Abstract: The flanged container for a dairy product or similar food composition is provided with a hollow body and a generally planar annular flange connected to the top of the body, the flange having outer straight side edges and an inner edge defining a circular upper opening of the container. The body has a planar bottom and a lower portion tapering from a generally cylindrical upper portion toward the bottom in a curved manner. The lower portion has a height h1 in some embodiments not less than 14 mm and the ratio h1/H is less than 2:5 where H is the height of the container. The side wall of the body has a thickness profile such that the average thickness of the lower portion is more than the average thickness of the upper portion. Several identical containers can be grouped in a pack with breakable junctions at the outer straight side edges.

The beverage end is adapted for use with products that are pressurized to over 30 psi (200 kPa) when opened, and during opening the vent score is adapted to sever first, controlling the pressure differential between the external surface and internal surface of the centre panel, thereby allowing the main score to tear in a controlled and reliable manner.

A mechanism is connected to the pallet and is moveable from a stowed position to a deployed position. Abstract: A collapsible dairy crate includes a base to which side walls and end walls are pivotably mounted. The side walls and end walls can be collapsed inward onto the base for efficient shipping and storage when empty. At least one of the end walls (or both), is also capable of being pivoted outward. The at least one end wall may also be pivoted outward 90 degrees (i.e. generally parallel to the base) and may be further pivoted another 90 degrees to a position extending downward from the base. The crate may be unloaded onto the grocery shelf through the end opening the crate.

The present vent enables the venting of air into the container as the fluid within the container is poured out. The vent includes a venting conduit or other tube bent in at least one section and a hollow handle engager, such as an elastomeric stopper, to engage the inner passage of the hollow handle.

Abstract: A plastic food bag includes a first plastic foil and a second plastic foil. The first foil and the second foil are disposed adjacent to one another and are continuously merged together at three edges to form the plastic food bag. The first foil contains a printable area. The printable area includes at least one of a cover layer and a middle layer that includes a thermosensitive material that changes color when heated, or, alternatively, a printing layer. The printable area is printable after the forming of the plastic food bag.

Abstract: A storage bag is provided with visually distinct features that facilitate opening and closing of the bag. The visually distinct features result in the bag having an asymmetric appearance about one or more imaginary lines along the bag. The visually distinct features and resulting asymmetries provide a visual cue for a user as to how the bag should be grasped when being opened. The visually distinct features, as well as other features of the bag, may also facilitate manufacturing of the bag.

The flanges are disposed parallel to the top of the walls, and substantially below the fastener strips, the flanges being sized, constructed and arranged for retention within the slider.

Abstract: A resealable closure for a metal beverage container including a closure cap which engages with a dispensing mouth which provides an initial gas tight seal, tamper resistant and tamper evident means, good purchase and mechanical advantage to tighten and loosen as well as remove and apply the closure mechanism, a gas tight reseal capability, and a protected, hygienic dispensing mouth. The several embodiments of the invention employ designs, materials, and manufacturing methods which are inexpensive and consistent with current manufacturing practices. The functionality, size, cost, simplicity, reliability and robustness of the proposed designs are all advantageous.

When the spout is in the first closed position, the flexible tube is deformed preventing flow through the spout. When the spout is actuated from the first closed position to the second open position, the curved, distal end of the spout deflects the nub allowing passage of air with the fluid container.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention disclose and describe embodiment containers for displaying, visualizing, and aroma sampling botanical materials—such as tea, cannabis, and the like including a container body, lid, and lens—which may have various shapes. In a preferred embodiment, lid is shaped to define a recessed area with scent openings permitting aroma sampling of a sample contained within. A removable plug is shaped to fit within the recessed area of the lid. The container body and lid, with removable plug fit within the lid, form an airtight chamber within. A botanical sample may be visualized through the lens.

Abstract: A cap and container assembly includes a container having a base and a side wall extending upward from the base. The base and the side wall define an interior, and the side wall defines an opening leading to the interior. A cap moves with respect to the container between an opened position in which the opening is exposed, and a closed position in which the cap covers the opening. A tab projects outward from the cap and has a bottom surface. A spacer projects from the container side wall at a location beneath the tab when the assembly is in the closed position. The spacer bends inward towards the container in response to application of a sufficient force, to move from a locked position that blocks the bottom surface of the tab, to an unlocked position to expose at least a portion of the bottom surface of the tab.

The lid assembly is configured to allow for removal of consumable items such as, but not limited to, fruit, nuts and seafood, while further providing a holding chamber for disposable items such as, but not limited to pits, shells and seeds that are left over from the consumable items. The cup, the lid assembly, or both may be discarded and replaced or re-used. The lid assembly includes at least one barrier surface or wall that provides physical separation between the consumable items and the disposable items.

Abstract: A buckle for use in securing a band around a bale of material comprises a socket member having an aperture formed therein and a wedge member having a portion shaped to maximize friction with a band and a rounded portion opposite the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band. The wedge member is initially connected to the socket member by at least one frangible link in an initial orientation having the rounded portion oriented toward the aperture in the socket member and the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band oriented away from the aperture. The buckle is used in an automated method wherein both ends of a band extending around a bale are clamped to the wedge member, the wedge member is rotated to a final position wherein the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band of the wedge member is oriented toward the aperture and urged into the aperture, thereby capturing both ends of the band between the portion shaped to maximize friction with a band of the wedge member and the socket member.

The bagged, compressed, and sealed mattress is shipped to a destination, second geographic location. It may be warehoused in the bagged, compressed, and sealed state, and may also be further transported to distributors or retailers. At a desired point, the bagged, compressed, and sealed mattress is vented before the final end use. Such may occur before delivery to the retailer or retail customer. The vent is reclosed and the bagged uncompressed and sealed mattress is then delivered to the retailer or end user. A bagged, compressed, sealed mattress has an openable and closeable vent.

Abstract: An easily-operated vacuum storage container comprises box body and a vacuum control device that is mounted on the box body in a removable manner. The vacuum control device comprises a vacuum pump for evacuating the box body that is provided with a vacuum relief valve, and a relief valve control mechanism. When the vacuum control device is mounted in the box body, the relief valve control mechanism can open or close the vacuum relief valve. When the vacuum control device is not mounted in the box body, users can directly control the vacuum relief valve to release the vacuum inside the box body. When the vacuum control device is mounted and users need to release the vacuum in the box body, they need not to take up the vacuum control device, but directly operate the relief valve control mechanism on the vacuum control device to release the vacuum.

Abstract: The present application includes a cup assembly for the mixing and drinking of a beverage. The cup system is configured to permit the introduction and mixing of two or more liquids internally in a sealed environment. The cup assembly includes a cup member and a base member. The base member includes concentrated alcoholic liquid for mixture with cup liquid in the cup member. A sealing member is also included to permit for the repeated mixing and drinking of beverages out of the cup assembly. The liquids may be refilled at any time. Other embodiments herein describe the external introduction of liquids to be mixed in the cup member.

Abstract: A method for cooking a food product under vacuum at low temperature includes placing a food product under vacuum in a sealed device and heating the product placed in the sealed device by submerging it in a bath in order to reach a target temperature of between 45° C. and 65° C., wherein the device comprises at least one thermochromic indicator configured to change color and/or appearance at the target temperature, and wherein the temperature of the bath is gradually raised from an initial temperature of at least 20° C. below the target temperature. A device for cooking a food product includes an envelope configured to contain the food product under vacuum and at least one thermochromic indicator in contact with the envelope.

Abstract: An apparatus used for preventing heat transfer from a cup holding a hot beverage to the hand of a user contains a perimetric sleeve and a plurality of insulation units. The plurality of insulation units is connected to the perimetric sleeve providing thicker holding area for the user. The plurality of insulation units, which can vary in shape and size, is positioned in between a first edge of the perimetric sleeve and a second edge of the perimetric sleeve. Different mechanisms, such as a plurality of vents, can be integrated into each of the plurality of insulation units in order to improve the heat transfer process from the cup to the atmosphere. Moreover, the plurality of insulation units can also be connected to the perimetric sleeve in different methods to improve the overall efficiency of the apparatus.
