    Abstract: A multilayer optical film includes alternating layers of first and second optical layers; the first optical layer comprising a first polyester, wherein the first polyester comprises first dicarboxylate monomers and first diol monomers, and from about 0.25 to less than 10 mol % of the first dicarboxylate monomers have pendant ionic groups; the second optical layer comprising a second polyester; and wherein the first and second optical layers have refractive indices along at least one axis that differ by at least 0.04. The multilayer optical film may be a polarizer film, a reflective polarizer film, a diffuse blend reflective polarizer film, a diffuser film, a brightness enhancing film, a turning film, a mirror film, or a combination thereof. The multilayer optical film may also be a transaction card such as a financial transaction card, an identification card, a key card, or a ticket card. A method of making the multilayer film is also disclosed.

    Abstract: Embodiments of articles including a low-contrast anti-reflection coating are disclosed. The coated surface of such articles exhibits a reduced difference in reflectance between a pristine state and when a surface defect is present. In one or more embodiments, the coated surface of such articles exhibits a first average reflectance in the range from about 0.6% to about 6.0% in a pristine condition and a second average reflectance of about 8% or less after removal of a surface thickness of the anti-reflection coating. In other embodiments, the coated substrate exhibits a second average reflectance of about 10% or less, when the coated surface comprises a contaminant. In some embodiments, the coated substrate exhibits a first color coordinate (a*1, b*1) in a pristine condition and a second color coordinate (a*2, b*2) after the presence of a surface defect such that ?a*b* is about 6 or less.

Each smart pole assembly can include a pole structure supporting a data-communications module and having a hollow interior through which a connectorized vertical cabling structure extends. Jumper cables can be provided to connect components associated with the data-communications module with the vertical cabling structure such that no cabling or wiring has to be removed or installed from the pole hollow interior when components are added, removed, or replaced. The vertical cabling structure or harness can include one or more of connectorized fiber optic cables, DC power cables, and connectorized Category 6 cables. In one example, the fiber optic cables are terminated with hardened multi-fiber optical connectors at each end.
