Abstract: The invention relates to a method for separating the aluminium of used coffee capsule by removing the coffee grounds therefrom and by reducing the overall dimensions by crushing them for recycling. The device includes an emptying piston (2) for punching the body of the used capsule (1) in order to turn the housing inside out. The coffee grounds (5) are ejected by the explosion of the perforated wall and are recovered in a first vessel. After removing the emptying piston (2), a lateral movement piston (3) urges the empty capsule towards a crushing piston (4). The crushed capsule (17) then falls into a second vessel intended therefore. The actuation of the operational handle (7) of the coffee machine (10) controls the pistons (2, 3, 4). Abstract: The present invention provides a precision press device and a press load control method thereof for downsizing a vacuum chamber in press work in the vacuum chamber, shortening a time required to reach a vacuum and further performing high accuracy pressure control. To downsize a chamber 16, a pressure sensor is set up outside the chamber 16 and a cylinder chamber 17 is formed to allow a tubular plunger 7 to slide up and down using the tubular shape of the chamber 16. A negative pressure 22 in the chamber 16 attracts the pressurized section 2 and the pressurizing section 1 to each other, but by injecting an equivalent pressure 19 of a fluid into the cylinder chamber 17, pushing out the tubular plunger 7, the attractive forces are canceled out. It is possible to control the load on the substrate or the like transferred by the press stage with high accuracy.

A machine to perform the method has a gatherer (3) for collecting at least partially retted plants with previously cut tops and bottoms, a crusher (4) for grinding the stems of the plants without tops and bottoms to break the wood filaments therein, a decorticator (10) for scarifying the ground stems to release the wood filaments and shives, a unit (31) for laying flat the fibres scutched in this way, and a baler (32) for winding the same into bales.

Abstract: Precise motion of the ram of a fastener press is controlled by high torque and low torque motors for high speed/low force and high force pressing of the ram by the ram, respectively. The high torque motor means drive passes through a bidirectional overrunning clutch. The clutch is controlled by the relative motion of the two separate motor drive speeds of which are regulated by a controller. The clutching motion is therefore controlled only by the relative speed of its drive versus driven components. This provides an extremely smooth and responsive transition between high speed/low force and low speed/high force operation of the ram so that the pressing cycle can be as fast and efficient as possible.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for producing a bale of lint cotton fiber by pre-compressing each consecutive charge of fiber fed from the lint slide to a predetermined and uniform density. The apparatus includes a supply chamber predisposed with both vertical and horizontal platens driven by independent hydraulic cylinders. The movement and cycling of the platens is such that measured charges of fibers are presented to a vertical tramping device at consistent and uniform density. The tramping device, consisting of a platen driven by two hydraulic cylinders, packs each charge into a stationary box, one charge after another. This process continues until the desired bale weight is reached. The tramper cylinders are driven to a predetermined pressure setting during the tramping phase of each stroke cycle (extension) resulting in uniform compression (density).

Abstract: A combination can crushing and retrieving device having a circular or tubular housing containing a plunger and having a rectangular opening in its side wall. The housing has a knife-edged slightly concave indent on the bottom of the housing, which indent generally conforms to the arch section of the necked down portion of a beverage can. When the concave indent is placed on the lip of a can laying on its side and forced down the can will “snap” upright, through the rectangular opening and into the housing. The can is then retained in the housing around the necked down portion by a foam/rubber lining located at the lower inside end of the housing. Then the weighted plunger is forced down onto the can, crushing the can. By placing the end of the device holding the can into a larger receptacle the can may then be ejected from the device by pressing an ejector rod.
