The rinse-off personal skin care composition includes varying ratios of a lathering agent to a hydrophobic benefit agent. The rinse-off personal skin care composition can be applied to skin of a user in phases over and/or in a treatment cycle. Each of the phases of the treatment cycle can include a ratio of the varying ratios that can be different such as higher or lower than a ratio of adjacent phase.

Abstract: A hair band comprises a stretchable body and a center hole. The center hole increases in diameter when the hair band is moved from a rest position to a stretched position. A distance between an outer edge of the body and an outer edge of the center hole is greater than the center hole diameter when the hair band is in a rest position. The distance between the outer edge of the center hole and the outer edge of the body decreases and the inner diameter increases as the hair band is stretched. In some embodiments, the body is hollow and filled with one or more of a gel substance, a granular solid, and a viscous liquid. In some embodiments, the hair band is manufactured by one or more of an extrusion molding process and an injection molding process.

Abstract: Implementations of the present invention include systems, method and apparatus for hair removal. The hair removal system utilizing a reusable non-strip based member for applying, spreading and/or removing a hair removal compound. According to one aspect, a practitioner applies a sugar based natural wax to a target hair removal area, such that the sugar based natural wax can be warmed on contact with the users skin to bond with the hair to be removed and then quickly removed from the skin to remove not only the hair removal compound, but also hair which has bonded thereto. Implementations of the invention also include a reusable flexible member adapted to scoop, apply and/or remove the volume of hair removal compound with respect to a target hair removal area.

As the pads are moved along the length of the hair, the nits are removed from the shafts and in one embodiment are captured at least in part in the pads carried by tongs.

The container has a pump for ejecting an amount of the solvent through the tubing. A lever attached to the body is provided for activating the pump. In use, a strand of extension hair is placed within the jaws of the removal tool, the lever is pressed to eject an appropriate amount of the solvent through the tubing, and pressure is applied to the hair extension with the jaws of the tool to weaken the attachment, until the bonding material is sufficiently dissolved and the extension hair is detached and removed.

Abstract: A delineating nail for creating quick, consistent, and high quality nail treatments is disclosed herein. The delineating nail may have a substrate with a base end and a tip end. A guide of various configurations may extend from the substrate at the base end. The delineating nail may be attached to a natural nail such as with one or more adhesives. One or more decorative coatings may then be applied to the substrate, natural nail, or both. The guide may shape the decorative coatings to produce various designs on the natural nail. In this manner, the delineating nail may be used by nail technicians of virtually any skill level. With the delineating nail, even inexperienced technicians can provide consistent and high quality nail treatments in a rapid manner.

The glove is made from a hydrophilic material, for instance a single layer of a micro fibre material which has a high affinity for moisture. The material has less affinity (less oleophilic) for the treatment and styling materials usually applied to the hair during a washing operation. The hairdresser or the wearer of the glove contacts the wet hair and repeatedly (with the glove(s)) during a hair drying operation in the absence of any additional heat and is fully aware of the degree to which the wet hair has been dried because the user's hand is not shielded by any intermediate material between the hydrophilic material used in the construction of the glove and which dries the hair. Because of this, the user is able to tell how the drying operation is progressing. Because of the cut of the gloves, the gloves may be interchanged on the hands of the wearer to yield a second pair of unused surfaces for drying the wetted hair.

The foot is then removed from the bath, the sock is removed from the foot and discarded, and a conventional pedicure trimming process is carried out. The skin of the foot is thus protected from any contact with the water bath, while the soothing, stimulative, and otherwise pleasurable effects of the recirculating warm water are provided as in a conventional pedicure process.

Abstract: A bristle brush for applying a cosmetic product to hair is provided with a sleeve having a longitudinal axis and at least one perforation. The brush is disposed within the sleeve so that brush bristles extend through the perforation for contact with the hair. The perforation is circular, arcuate, rectangular, square, triangular or trapezoidal in shape or at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve. When the sleeve has a plurality of perforations, the perforations can be shaped alike or can differ in shape and/or in angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve so that one or more predetermined performance characteristics are obtained when the brush is used to apply the cosmetic product to the hair. A method for adjusting brush performance characteristics is also disclosed.
