Abstract: A hair band comprises a stretchable body and a center hole. The center hole increases in diameter when the hair band is moved from a rest position to a stretched position. A distance between an outer edge of the body and an outer edge of the center hole is greater than the center hole diameter when the hair band is in a rest position. The distance between the outer edge of the center hole and the outer edge of the body decreases and the inner diameter increases as the hair band is stretched. In some embodiments, the body is hollow and filled with one or more of a gel substance, a granular solid, and a viscous liquid. In some embodiments, the hair band is manufactured by one or more of an extrusion molding process and an injection molding process.

Abstract: A glove to be worn by a hairdresser during a hair drying operation. The glove is made from a hydrophilic material, for instance a single layer of a micro fibre material which has a high affinity for moisture. The material has less affinity (less oleophilic) for the treatment and styling materials usually applied to the hair during a washing operation. The hairdresser or the wearer of the glove contacts the wet hair and repeatedly (with the glove(s)) during a hair drying operation in the absence of any additional heat and is fully aware of the degree to which the wet hair has been dried because the user's hand is not shielded by any intermediate material between the hydrophilic material used in the construction of the glove and which dries the hair. Because of this, the user is able to tell how the drying operation is progressing. Because of the cut of the gloves, the gloves may be interchanged on the hands of the wearer to yield a second pair of unused surfaces for drying the wetted hair.

Abstract: A unique device that has two sides, one gauze, one cotton, to allow the cleaning and exfoliating of skin in delicate areas, and normal surface areas where delicacy is unnecessary. The device can clean makeup, exfoliate, clean wounds, be used on delicate surfaces and in hart-to reach areas while changing surfaces dependent on applicator used. It can remove makeup around the eye and perform all functions normally serviced by a tip applicator with a stronger secondary surface that increases the number of uses, and makes the item in issue long lasting for comparable price. The cotton is absorbent, while the gauze side is strong enough to remove all dirt without deteriorating, and do so faster and more efficiently than cotton alone. It is essentially a potentially two-step device, the delicate side for usage first, followed by the stronger gauze covering as deemed necessary. There is no comparable prior or present art.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a non-therapeutic makeup and/or care process for non-fibrous human keratin matter, such as the skin, the lips and the fingernails, comprising the following steps: placing a heating device on or near an outer surface of a lump of a solid cosmetic composition to heat said lump locally in such a way as to soften essentially only said outer surface and lower its coefficient of dynamic friction and then apply the outer surface of the heated composition to the region to be treated, said solid cosmetic composition comprising in a physiologically acceptable medium at least one semi-crystalline polymer

Abstract: A bristle brush for applying a cosmetic product to hair is provided with a sleeve having a longitudinal axis and at least one perforation. The brush is disposed within the sleeve so that brush bristles extend through the perforation for contact with the hair. The perforation is circular, arcuate, rectangular, square, triangular or trapezoidal in shape or at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve. When the sleeve has a plurality of perforations, the perforations can be shaped alike or can differ in shape and/or in angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve so that one or more predetermined performance characteristics are obtained when the brush is used to apply the cosmetic product to the hair. A method for adjusting brush performance characteristics is also disclosed.

Abstract: A device includes a base container delimiting an inner space receiving a first cosmetic product. It includes a compression wall, mounted so as to be slideably mobile in the inner space through an insertion aperture between an outer position and an inner position. The compression wall delimits through-passages for circulation of the first cosmetic product, each through-passage opening out into the inner space. The device includes a receptacle for mixing the cosmetic composition including the compression wall and a side wall displaceable together with the compression wall. The side wall protrudes from the compression wall and delimits a mixing space into which the through-passage opens out.
