Abstract: According to the present invention, a film having a tensile modulus of elasticity of 220 MPa or more is adopted as a surface substrate film for a motor vehicle brake disc antirust film. If needed, the surface substrate film is made to further contain an ultraviolet absorber in a proportion of 0.01 to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the surface substrate film in such a way that the spectral transmittance of the surface substrate film in a wavelength region from 200 to 380 nm falls within a range from 0 to 20%. The present invention can provide a surface substrate film for a motor vehicle brake disc antirust film which surface substrate film is hardly peeled off when adhered onto a motor vehicle wheel.

Abstract: The present invention relates to aromatic aldimines, which are based on primary aromatic polyamines, which are solid at room temperature and liquid at room temperature and which have the lowest possible viscosity, hydrolyze with little odor, and can be used as blocked amines in curable compositions, in particular in compositions having one-component and two-component isocyanate groups. Said compositions have a relatively long open time, but cure surprisingly rapidly, said curing occurring without strong odor formation and without bubbling. In addition, the compositions have outstanding mechanical properties after curing, in particular high strength with high ductility, and good resistance to heat and moisture.

  • Patent number: 7807016
Abstract: The invention pertains to a method for bonding a first substrate to a second substrate, including the steps of (a) applying to one or both of the substrates a primer composition that includes an adhesion promoter, which is an adduct prepared by the reaction of at least one aromatic polyisocyanate compound with an active hydrogen moiety of an organofunctional silane (e.g., an aminosilane, a mercapto-silane, or a combination thereof); (b) applying an adhesive to at least one of the substrates; and (c) assembling the two substrates. Another aspect of the invention the adhesion promoter is incorporated into a primer composition that includes a polymeric prepolymer with a free isocyanate content, and more specifically, at least one prepolymer (derived from the reaction of at least one aliphatic polyisocyanate and a polyol), which is at least partially reacted with an amino group of an aminosilane, wherein the aminosilane includes a plurality of alkoxy groups bound to silicon.
