Abstract: A seamless handle grip assembly mounted on a single pulling rod of luggage is provided. The assembly comprises a tube a top grip section, a spring depressible push button a hollow, cylindrical left member inserted into a left portion of the tube, a hollow, cylindrical right member inserted into a right portion of the tube to matingly couple to the left member, a bottom grip section threadedly secured to the top grip section with the tube fastened therebetween, and a rod inserted upwardly through the bottom grip section into the tube and the spring to fixedly couple to the push button.

Abstract: A carrying handle of luggage comprises an intermediate grip including two end extensions each having an elongated opening, two end connecting mechanisms each including a first post and a second post each having inner threads at inside wherein the first post is inserted into the opening and the luggage case and the connecting mechanism are fastened together by driving two fasteners through a top of the luggage case into the first and second posts respectively, and two bellows mechanisms each including a bellows member interconnected the grip and the connecting mechanism. Lifting the grip will both move the extensions and expand the bellows mechanisms toward a center of the grip until one end of either opening is stopped by the first post and form a space between the grip and the top of the luggage case.

Abstract: A handle assembly for towable, wheeled luggage includes an axially elongated tubular member, which is extendably and retractably attachable at one end to the luggage, and a handgrip assembly rotatably mounted on the free end of the tubular member. A slidable collar assembly surrounds the rotational dividing line between the handgrip assembly and the tubular member and is axially movable relative thereto to permit selective rotation and locking of the handgrip assembly relative to the tubular member. The handgrip assembly may have a P-shaped configuration which is rotatable to position the loop portion of the P-shaped assembly to one side or the other to accommodate lefthanded and righthanded towing of the luggage.

Narrower side segments are disposed along side portions of the container relative to the top and bottom segments. A first support and a second support are affixed longitudinally to first side and second side segments, respectively. The handle assembly having a handle is disposed above the top segment and operatively engages the first and the second supports. For moving the luggage, a set of casters affixed on the bottom segment whereby the container may be rolled with a leading segment set at an incline relative to a substrate supporting the container. The leading segment may be one of the elongated segments or one of the side segments.

Abstract: A retractable luggage wheel is described. A container (e.g. luggage) wheel control mechanism includes a container handle mechanically coupled to a container, configured to expand and compress, and a container wheel mechanically coupled to the container handle and responsive to movement of the container handle, configured to extend from the surface of the container when the container handle is expanded and to retract from the surface of the container when the container handle is compressed. Advantages of the invention include more compact luggage storage, easier luggage handling, and reduced damage to luggage wheels.

Abstract: The traveling case with an erectly expanded case body consists of one case body, one adjustable shaft pair, one positioning and binding base and one wheel and foot base. The outer shaft of the adjustable shaft pair passes through the shaft installation hole on the positioning and binding base and gets fixed at the rear insdie the body. A stretchable and foldable mezzanine is installed on the body that expands horizontally against the moving direction of the adjustable shaft. That is, the zipper opens and closes vertically against the movement of the adjustable shaft. Therefore, when the above case body is stretched, the inner space is increased and the traveling case will not topple and fall, which enhances the steadiness of the traveling case.

The amusement feature can be an electronic device, or a non-electronic device. Abstract: A convertible travel case has a frame including an upright with a handle for grasping and a base with wheels for towing. A rigid case is mounted on the frame by a connector bracket having one portion pivotally connected with an upper part of the case and another portion slidably connected with the upright to permit the case to be shifted between a generally vertical storage position and a generally horizontal cart position. The frame and case have mating catch members at the bottom of the case. A releasable lock connects the connector bracket and the upright in a first raised position wherein the catch members are engaged to retain the case in the storage position, and a second lowered position wherein the catch members are disengaged and the lower end of the case is swung outwardly away from the frame with the connector bracket shifting downwardly along the upright to the cart position for supporting additional luggage on top of the case.

The push rod has a ram head pressing a sloped angle of a sliding member of the adjusting section for controlling the movement of a left and a right push bar of the coupling section, thereby the control bar in the extensible tube may be controlled and moved upwards or downwards, and the extensible tube may also be extended as desired.

Abstract: An improved luggage handle control structure for adjusting handle direction and particularly a turnable handle for controlling the handle direction of the luggage mainly includes a handle section, a control section, an adjusting section and a coupling section. The handle section has a bucking member running through a control slot of a coupling member of the control section. The bucking member has a concave section pressing the top end of a push rod, and an upper sloped angle and a lower sloped angle. When the pushbutton is depressed, the bucking member is moved forwards, the upper sloped angle also is moved forwards concurrently to push the coupling member upwards. Therefore the retaining block wedged in the coupling trough is moved upwards and separates from the coupling trough to enable the handle section to be turned as desired.

The push rod has a ram head pressing a sloped angle of a sliding member of the adjusting section, and an upper sloped angle and a lower sloped angle to move the coupling member upwards so that the anchor strut of the coupling member may be separated from or anchored in an anchor hole to extend the elevation of the handle. A torsional spring is provided with one foot wedged in a notch of a recess and another foot wedged in a lower casing of the adjusting section to alleviate the impact to user's hand holding the handle.

Abstract: A luggage having a hidden type pull handle includes a main body, a telescopic pull handle, and two roller sets. Each of the two roller sets includes a wheel seat, a roller, and a reinforcement member. The pull handle is retained on the middle partition of the main body. Thus, when the pull handle is pulled in an oblique manner, the pull handle directly forces the main space of the main body to lean, so that the shell around the periphery of the secondary space of the main body is not pulled by the pull handle, thereby preventing the main body from being torn out, so as to increase the lifetime of the main body.

Abstract: A towing member for a piece of towable baggage is provide with towing handle that is pivotal relative to an arm portion of the towing member. The pivotal relation of the towing handle and the arm potion enables the towing handle to be rotated into a position where a person can grasp the towing handle in a comfortable position by his or her side when the piece of baggage is being towed. The pivotal relation of the towing handle and the arm potion also improves the maneuverability of a towable piece of baggage by reducing the need for a person to twist his or her wrist when steering the piece of baggage. The invention also allows the towing handle of retractable towing members to be pivoted into an appropriate position relative to the piece of baggage such that the towing handle lies flush with the baggage and will not become snagged on other items.

Abstract: A handle system for a rolling luggage case, including a telescoping post members extensible from a retracted position within a luggage case to an extended position protruding from the luggage case, a cross member extending between adjacent end portions of the telescoping post members, and a handle pivotally mounted to the cross member. A post cap member is attached on an end of the telescoping post member that is distal from the luggage case. The post cap member includes a cylindrical bearing surface to which a handle is pivotally mounted. The cylindrical bearing surface includes a pin reception aperture disposed on a circumference of the cylindrical bearing surface. The cylindrical bearing surface and the pin can be fabricated from a rigid structural material, such as metal.

Abstract: A suitcase has a frame (17), a cover (15) covering the frame, a stabilizing brace (12) joining two opposite sides of the frame, a pair of corner wheels (14), a pull handle collar (11), and a pull handle assembly (13) mountable between the stabilizing brace and the pull handle collar. The frame and the cover comprise the case body (1) for packing the contents of the suitcase within. The pull handle assembly includes a pull handle support (123), at least a hollow tube (131), and a retractable slide handle (132). The stabilizing brace both holds the sides of the frame in fixed relation and provides a mounting point for a lower end of the pull handle assembly. Because the pull handle assembly occupies less than a length of the bottom of the suitcase, a large area of flat space is created in the bottom of the suitcase for easier packing of flat objects.

A reinforcing member extends substantially along the length of the top, so that the article of luggage may be stood on one of the opposing ends such that the other end is at least partially supported by the reinforced top. The top may be formed completely by the lid, and the reinforcing member may be a frame extending around the periphery of the lid. The reinforcing member may be formed of a rigid plastic material.

Abstract: The present invention provides a case that comprises a circular main body, the rim of which is encircled by a single wheel. The main body has a handle attached to it, for us in propelling the case along the ground. The wheel rotates relative to the main body as the case is rolled along by a user. The use of a single wheel allows for improved manoeuvrability of the case compared to other rolling luggage or cases.

The first and second upper compartments are both pivotable about their respective lines of intersection between folded positions in which the first and second upper compartments overlie the lower compartment and unfolded positions.

Abstract: A reinforced arrangement for a handle assembly of wheeled luggage is disclosed. The handle assembly comprises two units each having a support tube and a sliding tube. The reinforced arrangement comprises an abutment mechanism under the sliding tube, a fixed pin for fastening the abutment mechanism and the sliding tube together, and a reinforced pin in the abutment mechanism urged against a wall of the sliding tube. Responsive to fully extending the sliding tubes for forming an H-shaped reinforced structure on portions of the wall of each sliding tube being in contact with the reinforced pin at about an opening of a bezel. That is, reinforcement is formed at points of external force exerted on the sliding tube while towing the luggage along a supporting surface for preventing the sliding tube from being bent or deformed.

Abstract: A luggage case is provided with straps or handles for carrying the case and a wheel and an extendable handle assembly for dragging or pulling the case. The wheel and extendable handle assembly is removably attachable to the case, such that it need not be carried when the case is carried by the straps or handles. A block is slidably received in the upper end of the tube and coupled to the lock device. A hand grip is secured to the tube and has a channel perpendicular to the tube, and a follower is slidably received in the channel of the hand grip and movable to engage with and to move the block along the tube. The hand grip may be disengaged from the corner areas of the suitcase.

Abstract: Travel luggage includes a reinforced bottom panel and opposite end panels with a telescoping handle and wheels attached to the bottom panel and arranged to stiffen the end panels to provide for a semi-rigid configuration of the luggage. The luggage further includes a flexible fold over flap that folds over the contents of the luggage and is connected by a single fastening mechanism extending from the back panel of the luggage along the side panels and front panel. The cover flap includes interior pouches or other storage features which may be removable from the fold over cover or flap.

Abstract: Travel luggage includes a reinforced bottom panel and opposite end panels with a telescoping handle and wheels attached to the bottom panel and arranged to stiffen the end panels to provide for a semi-rigid configuration of the luggage. The luggage further includes a flexible fold over flap that folds over the contents of the luggage and is connected by a single fastening mechanism extending from the back panel of the luggage along the side panels and front panel. The cover flap includes interior pouches or other storage features which may be removable from the fold over cover or flap.

Abstract: Dual access hand luggage having in the interior a stowage cell system or assembly, preferably made of stretch fabric, that permits isolation packing and orthogonal stowage and retrieval of goods retained in the cells by access from either face of the suitcase. For roll-on type travel bags, a pop-up handle is provided in a side wall, rather than on the back face as in current luggage. The inventive system is particularly useful for suitcases, carry-on or roll-on bags, back packs, totes, brief cases, and laptop cases. Dual-sided external access combined with internal, modular, fixed-size or variable-size stowage cells, oriented generally orthogonal to the planes of both sides, permits packing and selective removal of articles through either face of the bag so that articles otherwise buried in the bag are easily removed by flipping the bag over and accessing the item through the openable back face.

This can protect fingers and thumb in the handle retracting process. The activation assembly (50) acts to move the extension tab (74) to pivot the wheels (14) to extend or retract.

Abstract: A piece of baggage is provided with a retractable identification card holder that slides into and out of a receptacle. When substantially retracted from the piece of baggage, the identification holder is able to clearly display an identification card that has been secured thereto. At other times, the identification card holder can be retracted into the receptacle where it remains concealed from view and where it does not detract from the aesthetic appearance of the piece of baggage. A method of identifying a person associated with a piece baggage utilizing the piece of baggage described above is also disclosed.

Abstract: A retractable handle includes two barrels secured in two ducts and each having a bore and a cut-off portion for forming two fences on the barrel, two tubes slidably received in the barrels, and a lock device having a housing attached to the lower end of one of the tubes. The housing includes one or more depressions for slidably receiving the fences of the barrel and for stably guiding the housing to move up and down along the barrel. The lock device includes a catch for selectively engaging with the barrel to secure the tube to the barrel.
