In the system for sludge treatment, a sludge concentration device is installed in a mixing flocculation tank. Thus, the sludge is mixed with the coagulant and flocculated in the mixing flocculation tank to produce flocs and a supernatant, while the supernatant is directly discharged from the mixing flocculation tank. • Patent number: 7001515
Abstract: A filtering system used on a meat injection machine that injects pickling into meat products. The filter consists of a tank and a first and second rotary filter. The first rotary filter uses a wedge wire wound cylinder and augers having flutes that rotate to catch and push away solid particles toward the second filter. The second filter then uses more wedge wire in a whirlpool effect to ensure all solid materials and foam are in the outside of the filter. Injector fluid is then taken from the center of the inside volume of the second filter to be used in injection needles.

  • Patent number: 6946078
Abstract: The method for separating ferrate salts from a solution comprising providing contact between the solution of essentially of aqueous hydroxide and the ferrate salts and a surface having a magnetic attraction, magnetically securing the ferrate salts to the surface; and eliminating contact between the solution and the surface. Contact is provided by immersing the surface in the solution, passing the liquid ferrate mixture over the surface, or combinations thereof. The magnetic attraction may be induced by permanent magnets, electromagnets, and combinations thereof. The apparatus for ferrate production comprises an electrochemical cell having an iron-containing anode, cathode, and an aqueous hydroxide solution in fluid communication with both the anode and the cathode, and a magnetic separator in fluid communication with the aqueous hydroxide solution for separating ferrate salts from the aqueous hydroxide solution.

  • Patent number: 6896801
Abstract: The magnetic separator has a tank with a pair of dual conveyor chains, spaced apart, at opposite sides of the tank. A plurality of frames with spaced apart magnetic rods are suspended from the conveyor chains in a manner allowing the frames to swivel and always hang vertically as the chains traverse their endless path. The liquid in the tank flows through the frames and ferrous particles are attracted to the magnetic rods. The rods are cleaned and the ferrous particles removed at a wiping station. Each frame has a scraping edge which contacts the bottom of the tank and drags out the non-magnetic particulate which has separated from the liquid.

  • Patent number: 6890429
Abstract: Systems and methods for treating waste water containing biological wastes such as animal waste generated in livestock-raising operations, wherein the waste water is subjected to a series of operations to separate solids from the liquid phase of the waste water and to biologically treat the waste water to break down organic components. The separated solids are stored for further treatment or conversion into useful materials. The treated liquid phase can be put to various uses. In one embodiment, the treated liquid is recycled as flush water for flushing animal waste from an animal barn, whereby little or no liquid phase escapes the system into the surrounding environment.

Abstract: The pipe system is for receiving and transporting lime sludge from a filter medium in a continuously operating pressurized filter 1 in a causticizing process, where lime sludge is scraped off from the filter medium 2 and falls down into receiving chutes 4a for the lime sludge. Conventional storage tanks for scraped-off lime sludge and their mechanical agitators are thus replaced by a pipe system 11 where the pipe system does not have a mechanical agitator at all but has a flow cross section which maintains a flow rate in the lime sludge so that sedimentation of the lime sludge does not take place from the receiving chute 4a to the feed-out opening 30 of the pipe system.
