It can also be used for heating and/or temperature control of other food items such as soups and gravy, as well as fluids/suspensions/slurries in various consumer, commercial and industrial applications. The invention achieves this by utilizing one or more compact heating blocks that comprises an electrical energy storage module with electric heating, power receiving and recharging circuits that are encapsulated together to permit total immersion in a hot drink. During use, these are be added to a drink to maintain it at a high temperature in a manner similar to ice-cubes that are used with cold drinks. A separate charger is then used to charge/recharge the heating block(s) in a non-contact manner after each use.

In the present disclosure, a potential is applied over a plurality of frequencies through the food item contained the enclosed package which includes a plurality of polyethylene layers and a conducting layer arranged between two adjacent polyethylene layers using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Values of electrical voltages and the electrical impedances of the food item are then obtained. A plurality of features is derived from the obtained values of the electrical voltages and the electrical impedances using a trained model. The present disclosure estimates the quality of the food item in real-time by co-relating the plurality of derived features with the quality of the food item contained inside the enclosed package.

    Abstract: An electric grill pan device includes a heating pan detachably mounted above a base. A socket is mounted in the base and includes a seat and an upper cover. A compartment is defined between the upper cover and the seat. The upper cover includes a plurality of insertion holes aligned with terminals on the seat. The upper cover further includes a notch aligned with an abutment peg on the heating pan. A shield is pivotably mounted in the compartment and includes a guiding portion aligned with the abutment peg. The shield is biased to a position covering the insertion holes. When the heating pan is mounted to the base, the abutment peg presses against the guiding portion and pivots the shield to another position not covering the insertion holes, and conductive ends of a heating element on the heating pan is in electrical contact with the terminals.

The heating unit covers the entire bottom of the bucket acting as a false “bottom” so that the heating unit does not appear as a foreign object within the bucket. The heating unit is held to the bottom of the bucket by a peripheral flange that extends radially around the inside of the bucket sidewall.
