Abstract: A system for disposing of medical waste is generally configured to sort waste items into a plurality of disposable containers according to applicable rules and regulations governing the handling and/or disposal of such items. In some embodiments, a system comprises sorting stations, each of which houses a number of disposable containers. Each station can identify an item of waste, determine the most appropriate container for the item, and facilitate disposal of the item in the appropriate container.

Abstract: A repairable drawer or door assembly has a rear panel and a front panel that each have corresponding openings. Perimeter portions around the openings in the two panels are formed to capture a window. A removable escutcheon plate covers raw edges of the perimeter around the insert opening. The rear panel is fastened to the front panel to create an assembly that has no visible means of fastening on the exterior.

The lid includes a lid cap (242). Two hooking portions (246) and two extending pieces (248) are formed on a surface (244) of the lid cap. The hooking portions are engaged with the resilient hooks of the main body when the lid is connected to the main body. To detach the lid from the main body, the hooks of the hooking portions are disengaged from the resilient hooks of the main body.

Each of the first and second doors are pivotally attached to a respective the wall of the receptacle, and are being movable between an open position, in which a portion of the open side of the receptacle can be accessed, and a closed position, in which the first and second doors overlie the open side of the receptacle. At least one first latch unit is operatively associated with the first door and is movable between a latched position in which the first door is maintained in the closed position and an unlatched position in which the first door is movable between the open and the closed positions. At least one second latch unit is operatively associated with the second door and is movable between a latched position in which the second door is maintained in the closed position and an unlatched position in which the second door is movable between the open and the closed positions.

Abstract: The present invention discloses and claims a multifunctional beverage cup that can be used to contain and dispense beverages and to store small items. The cup of the present invention comprises a cup body, a lid means and a storage bin which engages a recess in the cup body. The lid means comprises a hinged port cover, which both covers the drinking port in the lid means and comprises a bottle opening means. The cup body comprises a recess in its exterior surface which acts as a storage compartment when the storage bin is engaged to the recess.

Abstract: Provided is a pocket-sized container for holding a smokeless tobacco tray enclosure in an outer housing, including a front and a back. At least one locator fin is located on the bottom of the tray. At least one locator groove is located on the inside of the back. Preferably, one or more locator fins position and secure the tray within the back. Pins on the front fit into sockets in the back to secure the front and back together.

In turn, the locking mechanism comprises a circular rolling member that translates from a blocking position preventing relative movement between the pivoting unit and the base unit to a release position permitting relative movement between the pivoting unit and the base unit.

Abstract: A lid weight attachable to a movable lid of a garbage can. While particularly effective with hinged lid cans, the lid weight may be used with any garbage can configurations. When used with hinged lid cans, a single weight is typically sufficient. When used with removable lid cans, pairs of weights are desirable. One or more weights are suspended from a lid by a resilient strap. The downward pressure exerted on the garbage can lid by the attached weight(s) effectively secures the can lid to the can body. The weight(s) effectively lowers the center of gravity of the garbage can, therefore providing resistance to lateral forces, such as those exerted by a crosswind. The novel weight system is readily attachable to any trash, refuse, garbage, or similar container.

By inverting the Have-A-Heart unit the two aspirin release into the awaiting hand, and the user then ingests one of these. A person is allowed to touch or try the article of goods by nondestructively removing the cover. Moreover, the removed article of goods can be stored in the container again.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cooking vessel (1), particularly a steam pressure cooker, comprising a pot-like container and a lid (3) provided for pressure-tight sealing of the container. The container displays a circumferential, outwardly bent or flanged pot edge. Clamping jaws (6) are provided on the lid (3), which serve as locking segments and can be moved into an open or locked position parallel to the plane of the pot edge (5), where the clamping jaws (6) reach under the pot edge in locked position. The invention is characterised by the fact that the clamping jaws (6) each extend over almost half the circumference of the lid (3) and that the clamping jaws (6) are mounted in a manner permitting pivoting movement about a pivot (12) extending parallel to, and at a distance from, the longitudinal centre line of the container (FIG. 5).

Abstract: A locking apparatus for releasably securing the lid of a trash container in a closed position has a locking arm with an elongate central portion for extending across the closed lid and bent end portions pivotally mounted on opposite sides of the container via pivot brackets which allow the arm to be pivoted between a first position extending across the closed lid of the trash container and a second position extending across the front wall of the container. The pivot bracket on one side is part of a locking device which has first and second locking formations on opposite sides of the pivot bracket, and the bent end portion of the arm on that side is releasably locked to the first locking formation by a locking member such as a padlock when the arm is in the first position and releasably locked to the second locking formation by the same member when the arm is in the second position.

A latching mechanism is disposed within the box door and comprises a metal actuator and a latch plate, and the metal actuator and the latch plate are connected. Movements of the metal actuator allow the latch plate to shift positionally, and thus the latch plate is moved from a first position to a second position. When the latch plate is in the first position, the box and the box door may be separated from each other, whereas when the latch plate is in the second position, the box and the box door are inseparable.

Abstract: An interlocking drawer or door assembly has a rear panel and a front panel. The rear panel is a five sided box, four low walls surrounding a face. One or more apertures are formed in two or more of the walls, and a plastic rivet or other deformable member is located in each of the apertures, such that the head of the rivet is on the outside of the wall. The front panel is a similar five sided box, with each of the four corners laser welded to form a smooth and hidden seam. Each of the front panel walls has an additional portion that is bent 180 degrees toward the inside of the box to form a rolled wall that is parallel to and in close proximity to the wall. Holes are formed in the rolled wall to correspond to the location of respective deformable members in the rear panel.

The front edge portion of the base substantially aligns with the front edge portion of the lid when the lid is closed. The securing cable is designed to allow at least part of a first end portion of the securing cable to pass through the lid aperture and cooperate with the locking mechanism to retain the lid in a closed position.

The locking mechanism comprises a vertical shaft or axle that extends through the central part of the cover. A knob is secured to the upper end of the shaft, and a cam is secured to the lower end of the shaft. A plurality of elongated rods pass through diametrically opposed slots in a housing secured to the underside, or interior, of the cover. One end of each rod has a contact surface which is urged against the perimeter of the cam, while the opposite end of the is a locking surface. When the knob is rotated in one direction, the locking surfaces of the rods are forced into the detents to lock the cover in fixed position.

Each of the first and second locking mechanisms may be used alone with a receptacle, or alternatively may be used in combination to provide additional securement of the lid.

Each of the first and second locking mechanisms may be used alone with a receptacle, or alternatively may be used in combination to provide additional securement of the lid.

A flexible lip is secured to the top edge of the main sheet and extends in from the top edge to cover at least a portion of the top of the covered item. The lip defines a hole in the cover that allows access to the covered item. The cover also has a separable seam, which can be separated at least in part to expose at least part of the covered portion of the top of the covered item without removing the entire cover. A method includes placing a flexible cover on a container. The flexible cover defines a top access hole that allows access to the container, and the cover has a separable seam extending down from a top of the flexible cover. The method also includes attaching the separable seam.

Abstract: The present invention provides a lid fastening mechanism for fastening a lid of a device to a casing opening between two opposing flanks of the device. At least one side of the lid includes a lid flank overlapping an inner side of one of the flanks of the device. The lid flank is slidable to and fro relative to the flank of the device. The lid fastening mechanism includes a fastening post protrudingly disposed on the inner side of the flank of the device, a movement groove disposed at a position of the lid flank corresponding to the fastening post, and a snap fastener disposed to extend along an inner side of the lid flank and formed with a snap hole for snap-fit engagement with the fastening post. The fastening post can slide into the snap hole via the movement groove and thereby fasten the lid to the casing opening.

The hood is operatively connected to the deck and is movable between an open position providing access to the storage bin and a closed position preventing access to the storage bin. A storage bin to be used in combination with a personal watercraft is also disclosed.

Abstract: An evaporative cooler cover having a three layer body internally dimensioned and configured to equal the external dimensions of at least one common model of evaporative cooler. A drawstring may provide a superior fit to the evaporative cooler device. The evaporative cooler cover may advantageously have a triple layer construction of a middle layer of nylon scrim or another loose fabric having two layers attached thereto: interior and exterior layers of solid vinyl or another polymer. The evaporative cooler cover of the invention may further be configured in either a generally cubical shape having an open bottom side or a generally cylindrical shape having an open bottom end.

The plug body has on its cylindrical surface an external locking groove. A locking ring is received in the working member internal locking groove and simultaneously in the plug body external locking groove and serves to lock the plug body within the working member.

Abstract: An airtight container with a vacuum valve in a double structure is disclosed, which is able to enhance an engaging force of a lid by sealing an interior of a container in a vacuum state, and is able to store a food for a long time period without rotting by making an interior of a container vacuum by discharging the air from the interior of the container to the outside with the assistance of a vacuum pump, and a connection part of a vacuum pump is made in a compact size for thereby obtaining an easier storing and preventing a damage.

Abstract: A reclosable package includes a tray, a top sheet, and a fastener. The tray has a well for receiving contents and a peripheral flange surrounding the well. The top sheet is attached to the peripheral flange. The fastener has two interlocking members, one attached to the peripheral flange and the other attached to the top sheet. A tamper-evident feature located on the package prevents access to the fastener and is connected thereto by one or two lines of weaknesses. In one embodiment with one or two lines of weakness in the top sheet, the fastener remains adjacent to the tray's peripheral flange, which is intact after the tamper-evident feature is removed by tearing along these lines of weakness. In a second embodiment with two lines of weakness, the tamper-evident feature, comprised of portions of the peripheral flange and the top sheet, is torn from the package along both lines of weakness.

The closure is affixable to the base and is lockably and releaseably attached to the base by an engagement element. Push-button actuated clamps can be used to attach the head to the sump for easy opening and closing the filter housing when replacing the filter cartridge. The filter housing of the present invention provides simplified filter cartridge changes to minimize process downtime and without recourse to tools.

Finally, the double door formed by the equipment door and the chamber door connected to one another is opened, using a handle provided for this purpose on the equipment door.

The container includes a bottom section, including four side panels and a bottom panel, forming an internal cavity therein. The container also includes a top section that is sized in configured to be placed above the bottom section for enclosing the internal cavity of the bottom section.
