Abstract: Provided is a monitor stand, capable of preventing an “auto-lift” phenomenon that occurs when a monitor installed thereon is tilted past a predetermined angle, due to a shift in the monitor's weight. The monitor stand includes a base, a stand body, a stand top, a stop slide, a first elastic member, and a one-way clutch assembly. The stand body is supported by the base. The stand top is pivotably supported on the stand body. The top slide slides along the stand top, has a rack extending in a sliding direction fixed thereto, and has a monitor installed thereon. The first elastic member is supported by the stand top, to impart elasticity in an upward direction to the top slide. The one-way clutch assembly is capable of engaging and disengaging to and from the rack, to prevent the rack from rising when engaged to the rack.
Abstract: An adjustable support tool for either vertical or horizontal mounting. The adjustable support tool comprises a rod slidably received by a tube. The rod has depressions formed thereon. The ratchet housing has a ratchet for securerly engaging to one of the depressions, a wheel spring for rollably engaging to another one of the depressions, a safety lock pivotally engaged to the ratchet housing for prevent access to the ratchet when locked. When the rod is slided, the wheel spring pushes up the ratchet from its underside to loosen its engagement. The loosened ratchet allows the rod to slide more smoothly, while protecting the painted surface on the rod. Both the ratchet and threaded portion provide adjustment to the overall length of the support tool.

Abstract: A reduced friction coupling which interconnects a lower, supporting member and an upper, supported member of a concrete forming apparatus to reduce the force required to lower the height of the forming apparatus under load on the members by a formed concrete structure. Two or more polymeric washers are received about the supporting member between a threaded nut which is used for adjusting the height of the forming apparatus and the supported member. The polymeric washers reduce by a surprising amount the force required to retract the nut under load. Washers of molybdenum disulphide filled nylon can support up to 10,000 pounds per square inch and reduce the force required to retract the nut by at least sixty percent under such a load compared to the force required if a single steel washer is used.

Abstract: According to a conventional hydraulic-pump-type barber or beauty chair having legs which spread out, radiately and in parallel to a floor surface, from the lower part of a pump, a seat part itself is large and heavy, which results in a high center of gravity. Thus, the chair can quite possibly turn over while it is moved. Further, the legs are arranged at the lower position on the floor surface and are arranged in parallel to the floor surface, resulting in a difficult cleaning under the legs. The present invention is provided with a ring-shaped bracket for fixing the legs with sandwiching the upper part of the hydraulic pump, the upper bracket, and the cylinder part, one another, thereby realizing a design, wherein the legs are radiately arranged therefrom.

Several rods are able to be simultaneously supported, and alternate rod mounting clips permit rear rods or blinds to be located below the level of the front rod, such that the tops of rear curtains or blinds are hidden from view from within the room.
Abstract: An adjustable stop attached to the smaller of two nested telescoping tubes. The stop is in the form of a sleeve that is axially and rotationally adjustable on the smaller tube. The sleeve is smaller in diameter than the inner diameter of the larger tube, and it has a detent for a pin extending inward from a tube clamp on the larger tube. The detent receives and releases the pin in both axial directions. This provides a detent at a selected relative extension and rotation position of the tubes, yet it also allows the smaller tube to fully retract into the larger tube. The tube clamp is used to fix the tubes at the detent position. The tube clamp is used conventionally to set a desired detent position.
