Mirror Or Picture Type Patents (Class 248/466)
  • Patent number: 4209233
Abstract: A linear positioning device such as for optical measurements, having a base plate, an object carrier and a micrometer screw. Protruding extensions are formed on the base plate, a compensating member is arranged between the base plate and the object carrier. An actuating lever is inserted between the support of the object carrier and the operating micrometer screw. The compensating member is connected by leaf springs both to the extensions of the base plate and to the support of the object carrier, while said support is connected by a spiral spring to the extension of the base plate. The actuating lever of the device is connected by means of a transverse-spring-actuated joint to the extension of the base plate and by a leaf spring to the support of the object carrier and the operating micrometer screw which is led through one of the extensions of the base plate, is bearing up against the actuating lever.

  • Patent number: 4205471
Abstract: An illuminated display means is shown having, in combination, a support and a double faced sign frame. The structure includes a support having rigid arms for holding the sign frame in a generally vertical position for display of both of the faces thereof. The sign frame is formed of an extruded aluminum strip that is shaped to have protruding flange means adapted to slide into engagement with rigid arms on the support to permit easy and quick assembly of the sign frame on its support means. Preferably, a vertical support post is provided having the rigid arms extending horizontally therefrom on both sides of the post to provide a balanced multiple sign display.

  • Patent number: 4006877
Abstract: A one-piece spring clip for mounting a flat member on a rod-like member. The clip is disposed within an aperture in the flat member and includes a body portion defining oppositely disposed slots extending axially from the end of the clip adjacent the rod-like member, and then circumferentially to permit rotation of the clip from a disengaged position to an engaged position. As the clip is rotated toward the engaged position, and the rod-like member passes through the circumferential slots, the rod-like member is drawn into engagement with the rearward surface of the flat member, thereby preventing substantial relative movement between the flat member and the rod-like member.
