Abstract: A tool assembly is described herein. The tool assembly includes a housing assembly that includes a first end, a second end, and an inner surface that defines a cavity that extends between the first end and the second end along a longitudinal axis. A rod assembly is slideably coupled to the housing assembly and is orientated within the housing cavity such that a portion of the rod assembly extends outwardly from the housing first end. An impact assembly is positioned within the housing cavity and is orientated between the rod assembly and the housing second end. The tool assembly is operable in a first operating mode wherein the rod assembly is movable with respect to the impact assembly, and a second operating mode wherein the impact assembly contacts the rod assembly to move the rod assembly outwardly from the housing.

Abstract: A fall arrest apparatus comprising a brake assembly (comprising a main body and a clamping mechanism) and a lifeline comprising an elongate first lifeline member and an elongate second lifeline member, the lifeline members overlapping with each other along a section of the lifeline. The main body has a passage extending therethrough, the overlapping section of the lifeline extending through the passage. The configuration is such as to provide from opposite sides of the passage a clamping force to compress together opposed surfaces of the two overlapping lifeline members to prevent these from moving with respect to each other until pulled in relatively opposite directions by a fall of the worker, causing the compressed overlapping members to slidingly contact each other so that energy of the fall is dissipated by sliding friction between said opposed surfaces. The main body has first and second portions on opposite sides of the passage.

Abstract: Rollers and springs are installed in notch portions of a clutch outer (S104), an inscribed circle diameter of the rollers is measured in a state in which the rollers are placed in contact with stopping portions by pressure from the springs (S105), and an outside diameter of a cylindrical portion is determined from the inscribed circle diameter measured value such that a predetermined amount of roller bite is achieved (S106). Then, the outside diameter of the cylindrical portion is finished so as to have the determined value of the outside diameter (S108). An overrunning clutch is assembled by pairing together the clutch outer, rollers, and springs and the clutch inner (S110).

Abstract: A motion guide device is able to damp a moving block from vibrating in a direction perpendicular to an axis of a raceway rail. A damping plate with a surface facing a surface of a raceway is provided at a moving block body. The surface of the damping plate is set to be in contact with the raceway rail or is set such that a gap between its surface of the raceway rail is as close to zero as possible. When vibration occurs from the raceway rail or the moving block, the surface of the raceway rail and the surface of the damping plate come into contact with each other. This brings about change in a spring constant of the motion guide device in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the raceway.
