Abstract: A method of clamping a conduit comprising a cylindrical conduit (tube or pipe) to an aperture in a rigid barrier by steps of providing a clamp with a wide plate with a peripheral flange on an obverse end and a narrower boss on an opposite end and with a central hole extending through the plate and the boss, and with a radial slot extending outwardly from the central hole to peripheral edges of both the plate and the boss. The steps include inserting a wedge into the radial slot; moving the clamp into contact with a rigid barrier; affixing the clamp to the rigid barrier with adhesive or fasteners; and removing the wedge from the radial slot.

Abstract: A suspension connector system configured for use with suspended scaffold systems and related methods of installation, assembly and use are disclosed herein. In accordance with at least one exemplary embodiment, methods of using a suspension connector system, for example, in relation to a structure, is disclosed. Suspension connector systems, as disclosed herein, can be affixed or otherwise connected to a structure so as to permit hanging of a suspended scaffold system, which can include work platform assemblies and access systems. Further in accordance with at least some embodiments of the present disclosure, a plurality of suspension connector systems can be connected to a structure, for example, in a predetermined pattern or an array, to support, or be combined with, a suspended scaffold system of the kinds disclosed.

Abstract: Among other things, one or more clamping apparatuses for securing a photovoltaic module to a rail are described. The clamping apparatus comprises, among other things, a spacer that is configured to cause a space of a specified distance to be created between a clamp of the clamping apparatus and a rail to which the photovoltaic module is secured. In this way, the clamping apparatus may be attached to the rail prior to the module being positioned relative to the rail. Moreover, one or more methods are described for preassembling a rail that comprises clamping apparatuses and/or for preassembling a clamping apparatus. Such preassembly of the clamping apparatus may reduce installation time and reduce total cost associated with photovoltaic arrays.

Abstract: A speaker housing or module facilitates the interchanging or swapping of designer grills outside the speaker housing without further disassembly and reassembly. There are one or more magnets located in the speaker housing that enable various patterns of acoustically permeable designer grills to be attached to the outside of the speaker housing or module. Magnets are disposed at locations within the speaker housing that align with magnetically attractive elements on the speaker grills to facilitate quick and easy replacement or exchange of the grills according to user preference.

Abstract: A cutting tool assembly includes a cutting tool and an indexable cutting insert having an insert index axis. The cutting insert includes parallel insert first and second sides connected by an insert peripheral surface that extends peripherally around the cutting insert. At least one clamping hole opens out to one or both of the insert first and second sides, and at least a portion of the clamping hole is in a clamping region of the cutting insert. The insert peripheral surface includes cutting edges that are spaced-apart and extend from the insert first side to the insert second side. Along a width direction, which is perpendicular to the insert first and second sides, each of the cutting edges is wider than the cutting insert, at least at the cutting region of the cutting insert.

Abstract: A hold open rod system is provided. The system may include, a cylindrical bracket having a first portion with a first bore for coupling to an elongate tensile member and a second portion remote from the first portion, having a second bore for coupling to a fastener; and a tubular jacket surrounding the at least a portion of the bracket, the elongate tensile member and at least a portion of the fastener. A method of constructing a hold open rod may be provided. The method may include: attaching a bracket to an end of a composite tube; attaching the composite material to an elongate tension member; operatively connecting a fastener to the elongate tension member; and extending the elongate tension member through at least part of the bracket.

Abstract: The present invention seeks to provide an attachment device for vehicle mud flaps, wherein magnetic attachment means are employed to enable rapid replacement of damaged mud flaps without the need for tools.

Abstract: A microphone is mounted to apparatus in order to receive sound from a sound source. The apparatus has a microphone clamp to secure different microphones to a variety of musical instruments and other sound sources and may be used to directly mount a microphone to a variety of clamping surfaces. The mounting apparatus incorporates a dual jaw design to allow for easy, fast, and secure mounting to the clamping surface. The apparatus supports a quick release mechanism for easy and fast engagement and disengagement of the dual jaws, consequently reducing time needed to securely clamp and remove the mounting apparatus with the clamping surface. The release mechanism may include a dowel release having a hole through which the jaw stud is situated. The hole has two curved surfaces so that one of jaws may be moved without turning the jaw stud when the dowel release is depressed.

Abstract: A gas turbine engine installation is provided that has a plurality of flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) harnesses to transfer electrical signals, including electrical power, around a gas turbine engine. The plurality of FPCB harnesses is held to the gas turbine engine installation using clips that have at least two jaws. Each jaw has two sets of opposing teeth that do not intermesh, and cannot intermesh when pushed together. This allows more than one FPCB harness to be held by one clip without the risk of damaging the FPCB harnesses. Preventing the teeth from intermeshing also allows subsequent FPCB harnesses to be inserted into the clip without undue difficulty even after a first FPCB harness has already been inserted.

Abstract: Providing a greeting card display fixture having multiple rows, one or more of which are convertible rows to allow for adjustment of the number of rows in a display. When desired, the convertible row may be used to display another row of greeting cards, increasing the density of the overall display. When not desired, the convertible row may be pushed flush against the back of the display fixture, while still attached, allowing the full depth of the row of the display fixture to be used. A divider or support clip is used to support the convertible row when in use and to hold it in a storage position when not used. The divider clip also separates greeting cards within a row. The divider clip includes a clipping mechanism to attach the divider clip to the display fixture and an adjustable portion to support an adjacent convertible row.

In one example, the clamping element has a first leg and a second leg. The first and the second leg are arranged lying opposite one another. The first and the second leg are connected mechanically via a base region. The base region braces in the first leg in a spring-elastic manner with respect to the second leg on the parts arranged and clamped between the legs.

The apparatus can include a channel clip, the channel clip including a first foot, a second foot, a first leg, a second leg, and a joining portion, the first foot and the second foot adapted to couple to a window jamb channel, the first leg having a first end coupled to the first foot and a second end coupled to the joining portion, the second leg having a first end coupled to the second foot and a second end coupled to the joining portion, the joining portion including an aperture defined therein. Abstract: The present invention relates to a bundle of nails or screws whose pointed tips are secured in close proximity to each other by an adhesive or adhesive tape whereby each outer nail or screw from one end of the bundle can be manually separated from the bundle and subsequently readily driven or screwed into a work piece. Furthermore, any injurious effect to the carpenter or construction worker's hand is considerably reduced when obtaining the bundle of nails or screws from the hardware store or when handling and using the nails or screws at the work site.

Abstract: Systems and methods for sealing and venting a septum of an intravenous catheter device. Implementations of the present invention include a compact, molded septum that is retained within an inner lumen of a catheter adapter such that slowed or stopped flow of air and/or a fluid is permitted to pass between the compact septum and an inner wall surface of the catheter adapter via one or more fluid pathways. In some instances, a snap ring is provided to secure the position of the compact septum within the catheter adapter, a fluid pathway being provided through the snap ring.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a clamp lock to secure a clamp around a pressure vessel, such as a split tank pool filter. The clamp lock includes a drive rack with at least one notch, and a housing with a rotatable drive gear, a locking pawl, and a receiving hole. The rotatable drive gear is capable of laterally moving the drive rack through the receiving hole, and the locking pawl is capable of engaging the at least one notch when the drive rack has been inserted a distance into the receiving hole. The distance correlates to a diameter of the clamp sufficient to secure the clamp around the pressure vessel.

Abstract: A method of continuously mounting clips to first and second rods, which are abutted and crossed with each other, includes the steps of a) providing a clip dispensing gun; b) providing clips each having a first rod clipping portion fittable with the first rod and a second rod clipping portion fittable with the second rod; c) loading clips into a clip guiding portion of the clip dispensing gun; d) pushing one of the clips by a clip feeding member of the clip dispensing gun to advance one clip to a ready-to-be-fired position, and e) ejecting the clip in the ready-to-be-fired position out of the clip dispensing gun by using a striker of the clip dispensing gun for enabling first and second rod clipping portions of the ejected clip to be fitted with the first and second rods respectively.

The well testing system includes a separator-exchanger module that may include a modular frame, a separator and/or a modular steam-heat exchanger. A surge tank module can include a surge tank, frames, and two surge tanks. A manifold model can include a compact manifold. The various modules of the well testing system can be interconnected using various guiding, stopping, and/or fixing clamps.

Abstract: System and method for mounting one or more photovoltaic modules includes one or more flexible rods, including a first end and a second end opposite the first end, each of the one or more flexible rods further including an inner core and a first jacket surrounding the inner core between the first end and the second end. The first end is configured to be attached to at least one photovoltaic module using one or more first adhesive materials. The second end is configured to be inserted into at least one hole of a modular rail and attached to at least the modular rail using one or more second adhesive materials. The one or more flexible rods are configured to allow at least a lateral movement in a first direction between the photovoltaic module and the modular rail and support at least the photovoltaic module in a second direction.

Abstract: A screening apparatus includes beams and screen panels forming a broad screening surface. Each panel is mounted to a pair of beams along opposite side edges to bridge between two adjacent beams. The panels are mounted to an upwardly facing edge of the beams by elongate fixing members extending in the longitudinal direction of the beams. The fixing members engage opposite side edges of the panels and include a pair of projections that extend into openings provided in the edge of the beams. Each projection is engaged by a locking clip to prevent release from the openings. The openings into which the projections extend are of greater diameter than the outside diameter of the projections providing a loose fit within the openings, to allow movement of the fixing rails and the screen panels before the projections are engaged by a locking clip.

Each of the plurality of brackets is attached to one of the first component and the second component. The sufficient clamping pressure results from redundant, independently inspectable, sources, a primary redundant source being circumferential tension in the band clamp, caused by tightening the tensioning device, to produce a first radial restraining force on the shoes, and a secondary redundant source being a second radial restraining force, applied by way of the plurality of brackets, to the band clamp.

The platform is portable and includes a clamping bar and receiving pockets for receiving tables of an adjustable workstation and mounting pockets for accommodating placement of fastening hardware to secure the tool to the platform. The receiving pockets allow the tables to adjust and clamp upon the clamping bar. The mounting pockets allow the hardware to maintain independence from the workstation to which the platform is mounted.

Abstract: The invention discloses ball projection cup connector assemblies for holding or carrying outdoor recreational equipment, especially gear such as traditional fishing nets, hiking sticks, water bottles or walking staff/fishing net combinations. The pieces of gear have a ball projection that is integral or attached as a separate piece. The cup connector can attach to a person's outerwear via a standard clip, a clip holder assembly or other fastening means. Alternatively, the cup connector may be incorporated into the clothing of the outerwear.

Abstract: A jacket assembly guide for assembling a jacket structure is provided. The jacket structure includes a plurality of legs, a plurality of connecting braces and a plurality of node elements arranged on the legs for connecting the braces to the legs. The assembly guide includes a plurality of supporting towers for supporting the plurality of legs such that a supported leg is held in a position corresponding to the position of that leg in the assembled state of the jacket structure. The assembly guide further includes a plurality of connecting devices for releasably connecting one of the legs to one of the supporting towers.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting a grease gun is described. The method involves attaching a barrel of the grease gun to a body having one or more magnetic elements and then magnetically securing the body to a work piece in proximity to a grease nipple using the one or more magnetic elements. The apparatus was developed for use in accordance with the method.

Abstract: A method of assembling an adjustable frame assembly for supporting a fenestration article includes the steps of sliding sections of each rail member along adjustment splices to adjust a width of the adjustable frame assembly and/or sliding sections of stile members along adjustment splices to adjust a height of the adjustable frame assembly. The fenestration article is disposed along a wall and at least partially within a groove of the rail member and stile member. A plurality of rail clips are inserted into the groove of each rail member to secure the fenestration article to each rail member. A plurality of stile clips are inserted into the groove of each stile member to secure the fenestration article to each stile member. The rail clips are disposed adjacent the stile clips to prevent adjustment of the width and/or height of the adjustable frame assembly resulting from compression forces.

Abstract: Reciprocating motion can be converted to rotary motion through a crankshaft and a connecting rod. In a connecting rod that is primarily in compression, two opposing connecting rods can be coupled to a single journal. Two bearing shell portions are placed over the journal with a pushrod placed over each bearing shell portion. The pushrods are normally in compression. To overcome the potentiality of the pushrods briefly being in tension, retainers can be coupled to the pushrods. Because both pushrods are coupled in-line, the width of the journal that can accommodate these pushrods is shorter than for a journal on which the two pushrods are side by side. The crankshaft can be shorter, stronger, and lighter weight.

Abstract: A pole planter assembly to be secured about a pole. The pole planter includes first and second independent chambers pivotally connected for growing plants. Each of the first and second chambers have wall sections with at least one inward indented surface and at least one outward projecting surface, and the wall sections of the first and second chambers are arranged whereby the at least one outward projecting surface of the wall section of the first chamber is arranged to fit within the corresponding at least one inward indented surface of the wall section of the second chamber to secure the first and second two chambers together. Each of the wall sections have concave surfaces to form a hollow shaped opening through the planter assembly when the first and second chambers are secured together to receive a pole.

The hinge assembly includes an arcuate finger extending from an end of the first arcuate member, a pin-receiving recess formed within the arcuate finger, and a post formed on an end of the second arcuate member. Upon assembly, the arcuate finger cradles around the post and the post fits within the pin-receiving recess.

Abstract: A lightweight bed assembly kit includes slats and runners adapted for connection to each other at spaced apart locations to form a grid. A U-shaped channel member is adapted for connection to the grid to form a support frame. A covering constructed to form a substantially smooth sleeping surface for an adult human is sized and shaped to be disposed on a top surface of the support frame. A method of assembling a lightweight bed includes arranging runners and slats transversely to each other and connecting the runners and slats together to form a grid. A U-shaped channel member is connected to the grid to form a support frame. A covering constructed to form a substantially smooth sleeping surface is mounted on a top surface of the support frame. A second support frame can be connected to the first support frame by another U-shaped channel member.

Abstract: A shelving system includes a front vertical support having front mounting positions. A rear vertical support has two or more rear mounting positions corresponding to each front mounting position such that each corresponding rear mounting position is a specified distance from the front mounting position. A shelf has a shelf front mounting and shelf rear mounting the specified distance apart. The shelf is assembled to the supports by mounting the shelf front mounting to the front vertical support mounting position and rotating the shelf using the front mounting position as an axis of rotation until the shelf rear mounting is mounted at one of the corresponding rear mounting positions. The shelf is substantially horizontal when mounted to one of the corresponding rear mounting positions and the shelf is angled to the horizontal in each of the remaining corresponding rear mounting positions.

The apparatus is removably mountable to handlebars, steering wheels, and other locations to allow the user to maintain the mobile device in a conveniently accessible location. Additionally, the apparatus comprises a flexible mounting bracket and an adjustable grip portion, allowing the apparatus to be easily adapted for use with a wide variety of mobile devices of many different shapes and sizes. The method of using the apparatus comprises the steps of mounting the apparatus to the desired location and then placing the mobile device into the adjustable grip portion of the apparatus, thereby securing the apparatus in the desired location.

Abstract: A clip-on accessory for a walk behind lawn mower clips together the handle bar and the engine control bar. The clip-on accessory may be disposed in a clipped position to permit an operator to pick up an object, for example, while keeping the lawn mower's engine running. The clip-on accessory may be easily clipped onto and off from the handle bar of the mower, allowing the user to remove the clip (or allow it to hang from the control bar) when mowing as usual, thereby not circumventing the safety features of the control bar during normal operation.

Abstract: A blade mount is attached or detached without bolts to save the time for the attaching and the detaching. Consequently, the operation efficiency of the rotary die cutter is enhanced, which is intended to achieve. Two fixing rings are freely fitted to a knife cylinder and the driving unit rotates the screw axis to move moving mounts. Thereby, yoke plates disposed on the moving mounts move the fixing rings to the end portion of a blade mount, and then an activated unit activates fixing units to fix the fixing rings to the outer circumference face of the knife cylinder, so that the blade mount is fixed. After the fixing rings are fixed, the yoke plates are separated from the fixing rings, so that abrasion of the yoke plates can be avoided.
