Abstract: A blade mount is attached or detached without bolts to save the time for the attaching and the detaching. Consequently, the operation efficiency of the rotary die cutter is enhanced, which is intended to achieve. Two fixing rings are freely fitted to a knife cylinder and the driving unit rotates the screw axis to move moving mounts. Thereby, yoke plates disposed on the moving mounts move the fixing rings to the end portion of a blade mount, and then an activated unit activates fixing units to fix the fixing rings to the outer circumference face of the knife cylinder, so that the blade mount is fixed. After the fixing rings are fixed, the yoke plates are separated from the fixing rings, so that abrasion of the yoke plates can be avoided.

Abstract: An archery bow comprises a riser and a pair of bow limbs. The riser has a central portion and first and second end portions, each including a corresponding forward pivotable connection point and rearward bearing point substantially rigidly positioned on the corresponding end portion. A bearing member is positioned at each corresponding rearward bearing point. Each bow limb has a riser connection point and a pulley connection point, and is (i) pivotably connected at its riser connection point to the corresponding riser end portion at its pivotable connection point, (ii) positioned against the corresponding bearing member at a point along the bow limb between its riser and pulley connection points that is displaced from the riser connection point by at least one third of the distance between the riser and pulley connection points, and (iii) arranged at its pulley connection point to receive a pulley member pivotably connected thereto.

Abstract: A retention mechanism is provided for removably securing a smaller sized server or other rack-mounting computing asset into a larger sized server tray and rack, which are larger in width than the computing asset. The tray includes an edge configured to align and couple with the end of one or more clips, which may be removably installed on the tray. The clips include a bowed portion that contacts the surface of the computing asset when installed so as to apply a securing force on the computing asset and into the tray. The resulting friction between the server and the clip and between the server and the tray secures the server in place in the tray.

Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a light emitting part, a light guide plate, a bracket and receiving container. The light emitting part generates light. The light guide plate includes a first side surface which receives the light, and a second side surface adjacent to the first side surface. The bracket is fixed to the second side surface of the light guide plate. The receiving container includes a bottom, and a sidewall perpendicularly extending from the bottom, and receives the light emitting part and the light guide plate. The sidewall includes combining portions which are combined with the bracket.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for emplacing connecting elements in metal sheets or sheet components made of metal by inserting a bolt-like or sleeve-like joining section of the connecting element into a joining opening provided in a metal sheet, so that the connecting element bears with an extended head section against one surface side of the metal sheet and projects with a partial length of the joining section over the other surface side of the metal sheet, and by subsequent pressing of the connecting element in the metal sheet through plastic material deformation by applying a pressing force.

Abstract: A support assembly for a tree-based platform includes a rod having a length greater than a diameter of a tree to which the platform is intended to be attached. The assembly further includes a first ring defining an opening configured to receive a portion of a tree, and a first plurality of extending members inwardly advanceable relative to the first ring. Each of the extending members has an end portion configured to engage the tree in the opening of the first ring when sufficiently advanced. The assembly further includes a second ring defining an opening configured to receive a portion of the tree, and a second plurality of extending members inwardly advanceable relative to the second ring. Each extending member has an end portion configured to engage the tree in the opening of the second ring when sufficiently advanced. The assembly further includes first and second supports. Each support has a bottom rail, a top rail, and two side rails.

Abstract: A method of closing a vessel includes using a flexible sealing device to form a seal between two container components of the vessel. The method also includes closing the vessel by locking together the two container components using a locking mechanism capable of bearing an end pressure load against the vessel when the vessel is in operation. The seal is formed and the vessel is closed so that the sealing device bears substantially none of the end pressure load when the vessel is in operation. This method can be adapted to work in relation to many vessel designs and both high and low pressure and temperature conditions.

Abstract: A hoist assembly for overhead lifting including an upwardly extending attachment member, a downwardly depending shank coupled to the attachment member and having a polygonal cross sectional shape, a hoist body coupled to the downwardly depending shank, and a plate positioned between the upwardly extending attachment member and the hoist body, that defines a first circular aperture that matingly receives the polygonal shank and a second polygonal aperture laterally spaced from the first circular aperture. The plate is moveable between a first position, in which the polygonal shank extends into the first circular aperture, and a second position, in which the polygonal shank extends into the second polygonal aperture. Rotation of the attachment member with respect to the plate is permitted when the plate is in the first position, and rotation of the attachment member with respect to the plate is inhibited when the plate is in the second position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a module for the modular frame of a heavy load transport vehicle, characterised in that it comprises, at one end thereof, a junction surface having an oblique bearing surface extending between two parallel planar surfaces inclined relative to the previous one. The invention also relates to a method for mounting such modules. The invention relates to a frame that comprises at least two such modules in which the junction surfaces together define an assembly with an oblique scarf joint, an unabutting scarf joint or key joint. The invention also relates to a harbour vehicle comprising at least one such frame and at least one such module.

Abstract: A bottle mounting system includes a bottle holder and a clamp. The clamp can mount to a variety of support members to provide a clamp mount extending either from a vertical surface of the clamp or a horizontal surface of the clamp. The bottle holder has both a rear mount and a bottom mount, each of which can be selectively mounted to the clamp mount depending upon the orientation of the clamp mount. Each of the rear mount and bottom mount of the bottle holder can be mated to the clamp mount in multiple orientations such that there are a large number of different configurations in which the bottle mounting system can be implemented.

Abstract: A runner for a snowmobile ski is fabricated from flat metal plate stock and incorporates mounting features for securing the runner to the ski and a wear strip of a relatively harder material provided on and projecting from a lower surface of the runner body. A quick release mounting system is provided for attaching the runner to the ski, including quick installation and release wedge mounting systems. The thin runner blade and wear strip are of the same thickness and are joined by a brazed joint. The invention contemplates a method of fabricating the runner and a method of mounting the runner.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention can include systems and methods for associating an accessory with a firearm. According to one embodiment, an accessory having an accessory portion and an attachment portion can be provided. The attachment portion can allow the accessory to be mounted to at least a portion of a rail assembly of the firearm when the attachment portion is clamped to the portion of the rail assembly of the firearm. The attachment portion can include a clamp assembly comprising a clamped position and an unclamped position. The attachment portion can also include a lever assembly operable to move the clamp assembly between the clamped position and the unclamped position respectively. Moreover, the attachment portion can include a lever assembly housing for at least partially enclosing some or all of the lever assembly.

The blades being locked into a place by a lock washer that slides over the rear portion of the body and is secured between the broadhead point and the arrow shaft. Abstract: A showerhead electrode for a plasma processing apparatus includes an interface gel between facing surfaces of an electrode plate and a backing plate. The interface gel maintains thermal conductivity during lateral displacements generated during temperature cycling due to mismatch in coefficients of thermal expansion. The interface gel comprises, for example, a silicone based composite filled with aluminum oxide microspheres. The interface gel can conform to irregularly shaped features and maximize surface contact area between mating surfaces. The interface gel can be pre-applied to a consumable upper electrode.

Abstract: A light-emitting display system has an alignment mechanism to align or angle light-emitting tiles of the display. A first tile connects to a second tile by joining a first clamp portion on the first tile with a second clamp portion on the second tile. In an implementation, the alignment mechanism includes a replaceable angle adjustment insert that is inserted into at least one of the clamp portions, such as the first clamp portion. When the first and second clamp portions are joined, a surface of the second clamp portion presses against the insert and a desired angle between the first and second tile is formed. The insert can have any angle so that any desired angle can be formed between the first and second tiles.

Abstract: The steering column assembly has a base mounted to the machine and a steering column coupled to the base that pivots about the base at one end of the steering column. The steering column assembly has column plates and base plates with pinned ends and slotted ends. The pinned ends of the plates form pin openings. The column plates are pivotably coupled to the steering column with a column pin and the base plates are pivotably coupled to the base with a base pin. The column plates contact the base plates such that their respective slots intersect to form an opening through the slots. A locking pin fits in the opening and pushes the column plates against the base plates, creating friction between the plates that prevents the steering column from moving. When the locking pin is in an unlocked position the steering column is movable with at least two degrees of freedom. When the locking pin is in a locked position the steering column is not movable.

Abstract: A mounting device which provides a pivotal interface for emergency equipment and a method of attaching the emergency equipment to a rescue transport, e.g., a foot of a litter, are disclosed. For example, the mounting device is releasably attachable to the litter and includes a fastening device operably attached to a mounting structure of the device. The mounting structure includes a tilt plate capable of pivoting. The mounting device also includes an adapter capable of securely mating with the tilt plate, providing a pivotal interface for the attachment of the emergency equipment thereto.

Abstract: A clamp device for mounting a rail device onto a railroad rail includes a clamp body having an upper section and a lower section. The clamp body defines a recess portion between the upper and lower sections and a bore extending through the lower section of the clamp body. A bolt having a first end and a second end extends through the bore of the clamp body. The clamp device also includes a quick release mechanism having a lever arm and a cam member pivotally connected to the second end of the bolt. The lever arm is connected to the cam member and has a clamped position and a released position whereby pivoting the lever arm from the released position to the clamped position draws the first end of the bolt and the clamp body together.

Abstract: A security tag that includes two different types of item-securing mechanisms within a single apparatus. The apparatus includes a first arm portion and a second arm portion forming a product clamping region, the product clamping region having a clamp to removably affix the tag to a product, and a third arm portion and a fourth arm portion forming a product piercing region, the product piecing region coupled to the product clamping region. The product piercing region includes a product piercing element to removably affix the tag to the product. Bringing together the arm portions of the product piercing region causes the arm portions of the clamping region to join together, thereby trapping a piece of a product therebetween. The piercing element of the product piercing region is retained by a latch which assists in keeping the arm portions of the clamping region together, thus retaining the product securely within the clamping region.

A first pin fits tightly through the through-hole of the first extension on the first connector and the through-hole of the first extension on the second connector to hold the first and second connectors together. A second pin fits loosely through the through-hole of the first extension on the third connector and the through-hole of the first extension on the fourth connector to hold the second and fourth connectors together. The connectors also include a compressive load bearing surface.

Abstract: A fastening element for fastening an airbag of a vehicle occupant restraint system to a vehicle structure is provided. The fastening element comprising fixing means, by way of which the fastening element can be fixed in a fastening opening of the vehicle structure; and at least one feed-through opening for feeding through a connecting element by way of which the airbag is to be connected to the vehicle structure. The fastening element has at least one projection against which a connecting element of the airbag fed through the feed-through opening rests and which counteracts the connecting element from being pulled out of the feed-through opening. The invention also relates to a method for fastening an airbag of a vehicle occupant restraint system to a vehicle structure.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for converting a portable band saw to an upright stationary table band saw includes a stand having a base, at least one vertically extending side wall, and a top. A work piece support surface can include an opening through which one run of a closed loop saw blade of the portable band saw can pass when the portable band saw is mounted in a supporting relationship with respect to the stand. A switch mounted on the stand operates the portable band saw independent of the finger trigger on the handle. The on/off switch is connected to a plug engaged by the portable band saw when mounted in the stand. The plug is engagable within a socket of the band saw and is electrically connected to bypass the finger trigger of the portable band saw and to create a circuit through the on/off switch.

Abstract: A latch extension device for lockedly securing a hinged hatch panel or liftgate of a vehicle in a rigid, partially open position, the device having a pair of arms, each arm having a jaw end, a handle end, and a pivotable coupling interconnecting the arms between the jaw end and the handle end for imparting a scissors action. By clamping the jaws of the device around a striker bolt of the vehicle and inserting the opposite end into the lock, the hinged hatch or door is locked in a partially open position, thereby providing a fixed air gap for ventilation and cooling, as is useful when children, pets or groceries are in the vehicle, while preventing the hatch or door from being opened further or shut. In a preferred embodiment, both arms of the device are joined by a pivot pin and are identical, simplifying manufacture.

Abstract: A method of fitting an attachment, or a trim, onto a portion of a profiled strip, or onto a portion of a profiled strip fastened to a periphery of a glazing pane, a fitting operation being carried out by an intermediate fastening device. The intermediate fastening device includes at least one clip including having at least one upstream cooperating part configured to cooperate with the profiled strip and a downstream cooperating part configured to cooperate with the attachment. The method includes fastening the intermediate fastening device onto the profiled strip. The intermediate fastening device includes an upstream cooperating part having a plurality of deformable catching tabs, the tabs being deformed by applying a force to the ends of the tabs toward the material of the profiled strip in two opposed directions so as to penetrate the material of the profiled strip during the fastening.

Abstract: A guard for structural members is disclosed. It can reduce worker injury with a thin sheet metal or plastic, broadly U-shaped guard plate attached to a structural support through attachment to a pair of clamps, each with a primary and a secondary threaded clamp jaw. The attachment between the guard plate and pair of clamps may be via a slotted intermediate structure. The primary jaws have a swivel pad end while the secondary clamps have a pointed, cone-shaped end. It is used in wind turbine towers to protect workers on a fixed ladder from hitting interior flanges as they climb up and as they climb down.

Abstract: An ornament hanger is disclosed for hanging an ornament on a display, such as a Christmas tree. The ornament hanger includes an upper portion removably linkable to the display and a lower portion engaged with the upper portion. The lower portion includes at least two ornament retaining members, to facilitate hanging multiple ornaments from a single branch. In a preferred embodiment, the upper portion slidably engages the lower portion, thereby allowing one to adjust the position of the ornament retaining members.

In one aspect, the method includes the acts of providing identical threaded portions, providing identical cover portions, providing a first vent module, providing a second vent module different from the first vent module, selecting the first vent module and coupling together the first vent module with one of the identical threaded portions and one of the identical cover portions to form a first cap assembly, and selecting the second vent module and coupling together the second vent module with another one of the identical threaded portions and another one of the identical cover portions to form a second cap assembly. In other aspects, the method includes assembling first and second cap assemblies with identical cover portions and threaded portions, but having different pawl members providing different cap-installing torque limits.

The support arrangement comprises an elongated flange-engaging rail having a first end and a second end, with a channel engaging tab arranged on the first end and the second end of the rail. Each of the tabs are arranged to mate with a channel on the sides of the window frame assembly. The rail has an elongated face to engage a flange on the upper front edge of the air conditioner and maintain the air conditioner free of support by a window sash of the window frame assembly.

Abstract: A fastening device template for joining mosaic pieces together having two variants that are easy to install by unskilled labor so as to help them achieve professional result. The device can be for assembling individual planks that together make up a floor covering such as solid wood flooring and engineered flooring, or it can be used for tiles. It can also be used to assemble individual parts which, together, create a piece of furniture. In this application, the generic term “mosaic” or “mosaic units” will be used to describe the individual pieces which, as indicated hereinabove, have a multitude of possible uses. Mosaic units can be assembled in all possible XYZ plans: side-to-side, side-to-face, side-to-end, end-to-end, end-to-face. In order to do so, the invention has an elongated clip core. At least one wing member attached to and extending a portion of the length of the clip core, and resilient leg members adapted to be frictionally inserted within a groove of a mosaic piece.

The inner surface of the lower end includes internal threads and the outer surface of the lower end includes a groove. The outer surface of the upper end includes external threads and the outer surface axially below the outer includes a groove.

Abstract: Clamps are provided that are securable to a panel for use in panel type fences, balustrades, barriers and the like. The clamps comprise separable first and second clamping means, which are adapted to in use press against opposing faces of the panel, and which are movable into engagement with each other, preferably by sliding movement, and adapted to thereafter resist separation from each other by friction between abutting surfaces of the clamping means. The sliding movement is preferred to be in a direction at an acute angle to the panel surface so that engagement of the two clamping means and achievement of clamping occur simultaneously. The clamps allow assembly without requiring the use of bolts or screws to achieve a clamping effect.

Abstract: A shelving system includes a plurality of vertical posts and horizontal traverses. The horizontal traverses are coupled to the vertical posts by means of a bifurcated collar that are placed on each vertical post. Each horizontal traverse includes an end piece which is configured to couple to both halves of the bifurcated collar. Each half of the bifurcated collar comprises a wedge shaped design such that when a load is placed on the traverse, forces are applied to the bifurcated collar that squeezes each half of the collar together more tightly around the vertical post. The traverses may be coupled to one or both sides of the vertical post to allow the shelving system to be extended as far as the user desires in any lateral direction. The shelving system may also be extended in a perpendicular or other angular direction by means of a wedge shaped corner connector.

Abstract: A tool for drawing duct sections together is formed of a U-shaped steel section. The center pane of the U has a V-shaped notch that is slipped behind the flanges of duct sections. The V draws the duct sections together as the tool is moved into place. When the tool is in place, a cleat can be inserted over the flanges from the same direction as the tool was installed. Because of the gauge of material used to make the tool, the cleat and the tool both fit behind the flanges of the of the ducts, allowing the cleat and tool to be installed from the same side of the duct. After the cleat is in place, the tool can be removed.

Abstract: A coupling for joining rotatable shafts including a pair of mating hubs having projecting pins, which hubs are held together via a free-floating wrap around restraint. The coupling has first and second circular hubs, wherein each circular hub has and a tool for fixing a shaft within each bore. Several coupling pins extend outwardly from each hub such that the coupling pins of the hubs are facing and longitudinally aligned with each other to define mating pairs of coupling pins. The coupling has a flexible annular restraint having split ends and semi-cylindrical concavities through the restraint. The restraint is wrapped around the mating pairs of coupling pins such that the split ends align and one mating pair of coupling pins are positioned within each of the semi-cylindrical concavities. A cincture is then fastened around the outer surface of the restraint.
