Abstract: A process and apparatus for collecting data for nondestructive evaluation of the quality of a crimped wire connector are provided. The process involves providing a crimping tool having an anvil and opposing jaw for crimping a terminal onto a stranded wire, moving the jaw relative to the anvil to close the distance between the jaw and the anvil and thereby compress the terminal against the wire, while transmitting ultrasonic waves that are propagated through the terminal-wire combination and received at a receiving ultrasonic transducer as the jaw is moved relative to the anvil, and detecting and recording the position of the jaw relative to the anvil as a function of time and detecting and recording the amplitude of the ultrasonic wave that is received at the receiving ultrasonic transducer as a function of time as the jaw is moved relative to the anvil.

Abstract: A bandgap voltage reference circuit includes a current generation stage configured to generate a proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) current and a complementary to absolute temperature (CTAT) current and to generate a reference current by combining the PTAT and CTAT currents. An output stage is coupled to the current generation stage and configured to combine the PTAT current and the CTAT current to generate a bandgap voltage reference. A curvature correction circuit is configured to generate a curvature correction current that mirrors the reference current generated from the PTAT and CTAT currents. The curvature correction current has a ratio relative to the reference current given by a current ratio parameter having value that is less than one, equal to one, or greater than one. In this way the value of the current ratio parameter can be varied to cancel a non-linear dependence on temperature of the bandgap voltage reference, thereby providing a curvature-compensated bandgap voltage reference.

Abstract: Soft-switching is performed to switch a switching state to an ON state by controlling a delay time of a timing at which a main switch switches to an ON state relative to a timing at which a sub-switch switches to an ON state. Controllability of soft-switching decreases as a result of variations in time difference of a command for switching the main switch to the ON state and the actual switching of the switching state. To set a delay time suitable for performing soft-switching based on the variations in time difference, an EEPROM is provided that stores therein correction data for the delay time. The delay time of the timing of the command for switching the main switch to the ON state relative to the timing of the command for switching the sub-switch to the ON state is set based on the correction data.

Abstract: A method for assembling an image capturing device is provided. The image capturing device includes a light-pervious module, an image sensor and a binding material. The image sensor has a light sensing region for converting an imaging light into an electronic signal. The binding material is used for binding articles together and curable by a curing process. Firstly, the light-pervious module and the image sensor together are releasably bound together via the binding material, thereby defining a close space for accommodating the image sensor. Then, a testing process is performed to detect a clean condition of the close space. If particles present in the close space are detected, the light-pervious module is detached from the image sensor, a cleaning process is done to remove the particle, and the light-pervious module and the image sensor are releasably bound together to define the close space again. Afterwards, the binding material is cured.
