Patent number: 12091737Abstract: When welding with a consumable wire electrode, current contacting occurs when the electrode wire passes by a readily electrically conductive contact element. In order to improve the current contacting and reduce the wear of the contact element in particular, the invention proposes subjecting contact elements to a cold treatment prior to using same. The cold treatment has a cooling phase during which the temperature of the contact element is reduced to a lower target temperature, a subsequent holding phase in which the contact element is substantially held at the target temperature, and a final heating phase, in which the contact element is brought to an upper target temperature. The use of contact elements treated using the method according to the invention leads to a substantial increase of the wear resistance compared to untreated contact elements.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2019Date of Patent: September 17, 2024Assignee: Messer SE & Co. Patent number: 11791577Abstract: Described herein are circuit assemblies comprising flexible interconnect circuits and/or other components connected to these circuits. In some examples, conductive elements of different circuits are connected with support structures, such as rivets. Furthermore, conductive elements of the same circuit can be interconnected. In some examples, a conductive element of a circuit is connected to a printed circuit board (or other devices) using a conductor-joining structure. Interconnecting different circuits involves stacking these circuits such that the conductive element in one circuit overlaps with the conductive element in another circuit. A support structure protrudes through both conductive elements and any other components positioned in between, such as dielectric and/or adhesive layers. This structure electrically connects the conductive elements and also compresses the conductive elements toward each other. For example, a rivet is used with the rivet heads contacting one or two conductive elements, e.g.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2021Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: CelLink CorporationInventors: Kevin Michael Coakley, Emily Hernandez, Mark Terlaak, Malcolm Parker Brown

Patent number: 8387242Abstract: An electrical connector includes a fixing member having a support seat; a plurality of terminals, each having an embed section embedded within the fixing member along an extension direction via an insert-molding process and a contact section exposing from the support seat of the fixing member; and an insulated body for seating on the support seat of the fixing member. The insulated body has an insert face formed with a plurality of terminal holes. The insert face is dented inwardly so as to form a plug reception chamber in spatial communication with the terminal holes. When the insulated body is seated on the support seat of the fixing member, the contact sections of the terminals pass through the terminal holes in the insulated body and are retained within the plug reception chamber.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2011Date of Patent: March 5, 2013Assignee: Concraft Holding Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kuo-Chi Lee, Chin-Huang Lin
