  • Patent number: 11291405
Abstract: A system is configured to collect information regarding a user's sleep and to graphically convey sleep factors based on the information to a user. The system can include a control circuit and a sensor that work together configured to generate a first sleep factor. The first sleep factor is associated with the user's sleep episode. A database is communicatively coupled to the control circuit and stores a graphical representation of the user and a second sleep factor, which is defined by the user. The control circuit uses the first and second sleep factors to determine a sleep episode score. Optionally, the control circuit effects conveying the determined sleep episode score to the user via the graphical representation of the user.

  • Patent number: 11290845
Abstract: A location-based and preference-based system and method for matching media content about persons, places and things with the expressed preferences of mobile users to notify users about and provide users with access to media content about persons, places and things that match the user's expressed preferences. The system thus provides information such as stories or articles that match the user's interests and relate to their location. The system may assign ranks to all of the media content that meets that user's preferences wherein, in one embodiment, it will automatically play them in the assigned order. Comparison of the user's preferences with the various profiles of the media content allows the user only to be informed of the media content for those persons, places or things that the user is likely to be interested in. The system and method thus provides for a mobile real-time point of interest exchange network.

  • Patent number: 11272319
Abstract: A mobile device determines based on a signal strength threshold when tracking devices communicatively coupled to the mobile device are lost or left behind. The mobile device communicatively couples to a tracking device and receives a first signal transmitted by the tracking device with a signal strength greater than a signal strength threshold. The mobile device receives a second signal transmitted by the tracking device and determines a measure of signal strength based on the second signal. While the mobile device is still communicatively coupled to the tracking device, and responsive to determining that the measure of signal strength of the second signal is less than the signal strength threshold, the mobile device generates a notification that the tracking device may be lost or left behind to alert the user of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10802568
Abstract: This application relates to techniques that adjust the sleep states of a computing device based on proximity detection and predicted user activity. Proximity detection procedures can be used to determine a proximity between the computing device and a remote computing device coupled to the user. Based on these proximity detection procedures, the computing device can either correspondingly increase or decrease the amount power supplied to the various components during either a low-power sleep state or a high-power sleep state. Additionally, historical user activity data gathered on the computing device can be used to predict when the user will likely use the computing device. Based on the gathered historical user activity, deep sleep signals and light sleep signals can be issued at a time when the computing device is placed within a sleep state which can cause it to immediately enter either a low-power sleep state or a high-power sleep state.

Abstract: The present application discloses a hearing prosthesis configured to alert a user of the presence of sound while operating in a sound awareness mode of operation. When a user of the hearing aid removes the external sound processor and microphone, traditionally, a hearing prosthesis does not produce any audio stimulus. Here, the systems and methods will alert a user to sounds in his or her environment when the external sound processor and microphone are decoupled from the internal components of the hearing prosthesis. In some embodiments, the hearing prosthesis may have an acoustic receiver that is implanted in the recipient. The implanted acoustic detector may be used to detect an aspect of a sound above a threshold level. The threshold may be chosen so the detected sound is a loud sound such as a fire alarm.

Abstract: Novel techniques are described for automated physical package delivery with end-to-end package security. For example, a sender can secure contents of a physical package using an electronic lock locked using a lock code. The lock code is encrypted by applying an encryption key to generate an encrypted lock code. The encryption key is generated in accordance with a decryption key associated with the recipient, such that application of the decryption key by the recipient to the encrypted lock code can generate an unlock code to unlock the electronic lock. An intermediary automated package delivery system can provide one or more end-to-end security features, including facilitating key exchange features between the sender and recipient, applying additional sensor tag features, and directing autonomous delivery features.
