  • Patent number: 10215826
Abstract: An MPI-apparatus comprising a magnet system for generating a time-varying and position-dependent magnetic field and a detection system detecting signals from MPI contrast agents exposed to said magnetic field within a detection volume, said signals being suitable for reconstructing an image of the spatial and temporal distribution of said MPI contrast agents, is characterized in that the magnet system comprises an array with a plurality of permanent magnetic elements geometrically arranged in such a way that at least a part of the plurality of permanent magnetic elements are moved with sufficient speed in the vicinity of the detection volume to create the spatial and temporal magnetic field variations for inducing within the contrast agent the MPI signals recorded by the detection system. This avoids the high power requirements of current MPI scanners, while opening the way for higher spatial resolutions and variable scanning frequencies.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for capturing and displaying stereoscopic images are described in a manner that allows a user to obtain a 3d virtual reality experience simulating that of being in a seat at a football game or other event. Rear images are modified, e.g., in luminance intensity, to make them consistent with the luminance intensity of the forward images to avoid or reduce edges or differences in luminance intensity as a users turns his head from viewing a main image area to a side or rear image area. A seamless 3D presentation is made possible through the use of fisheye lenses at capture time and combining of images corresponding to forward and rear image areas as a user turns his or her head requiring a change in the captured image area which is displayed to the user.

Abstract: A projection system includes at least one projector and a holographic projection film. The projector projects a first image to a projection surface. The holographic projection film mirrors the first image on the projection surface to form a second image on an imaging surface. The projection surface and a standard surface define a first angle therebetween. The first angle is Y degrees. The holographic projection film and the standard surface define a second angle therebetween. The second angle is 45+X degrees. Y and X substantially satisfy: Y=2X.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and system for performing normalization of an image using a cumulative histogram and a common color map for the R, G and B channels. On receiving an instruction from a user to normalize an image, the histogram for individual channels of the image is computed. The cumulative histogram from the histogram for individual channels is computed. The linear histogram cut off percentage is tripled. The min and max positions using the histogram stretch after the percentage cutoff is adjusted. The colormap is computed using the cumulative histogram and the linear histogram cut off percentage. The colormap is applied to the image data.
