  • Patent number: 11817063
Abstract: A perceived gamut (PG) of a physical display device presenting frames of an image sequence to a human viewer may be increased. An interface of the system receives a sequence of frames from an image sequence source with each frame having input color data associated with each pixel of the respective frame, the input color data being given in a specified color space. A perceived color computation module computes for each particular frame of the received image sequence perceived colors of each pixel and a frame-specific adapted white point. An optimizer module applies a chromatic adaptation transformation to each window frame to determine display gamut adjusted perceived colors of each pixel of the respective frame and an error per window frame. The chromatic adaptation transformation is updated for all window frames to minimize the determined error, and the current frame is output to the display.

As the user moves through the facility, information is dynamically presented to the user on one or more displays using a user interface. The user interface may be presented on the display as the user approaches, and presentation may cease as the user moves away. The amount of information, size of elements presented on the display, and so forth may be based on kinematic data about the user. The kinematic data may include position, speed, orientation, and so forth.

  • Patent number: 10244244
Abstract: Methods for screen-adaptive decoding of video with high dynamic range (HDR) are described. The methods combine the traditional compositing and display management steps into one screen-adaptive compositing step. Given decoded standard dynamic range (SDR) input data, metadata related to the prediction of output HDR data in a reference dynamic range, and the dynamic range of a target display, new output luma and chroma prediction functions are generated that map directly the input SDR data to output HDR data in the target dynamic range, thus eliminating the display management step.

Abstract: There is provided an image processing apparatus capable of appropriately performing conversion processing using a lookup table on image data in an image format with a wide dynamic range. In the image processing apparatus, a system control unit sets a second dynamic range (display range) as a display target in a first dynamic range (input range) corresponding to an image format of input image data. A 1D-LUT data generation unit generates, based on the set second dynamic range (display range), first lookup table (LUT) data as a lookup table for performing first conversion processing on the input image data. A 3D-LUT data generation unit generates, based on the first dynamic range (display range), second lookup table (LUT) data as a lookup table for performing second conversion processing on image data obtained by the first conversion processing.

Abstract: The invention provides a Mura compensation method for display panel, which extracts the luminance information of a grayscale b other than the lowest grayscale from the inputted image through an image console, generates a Mura value index table for 0 to the lowest grayscale; uses linearly interpolation calculate the Mura values for the remaining grayscales; determines the inputted data signal; for low grayscale image smaller than the lowest grayscale, searches the index table for Mura value to perform Mura compensation to make the compensated grayscale larger than the lowest grayscale; for dynamic image, uses linear interpolation to calculate the Mura value corresponding to the inputted data signal; and for static image, uses non-linear interpolation to calculate the Mura value corresponding to the inputted data signal. As such, the Mura compensation effect is improved for static and low grayscale images; moreover, the memory speed requirement is reduced.

  • Patent number: 9697638
Abstract: Two sets of image data, a first image and a second image, are prepared as image data. If image controlling information is received, an image setting controlling section determines, on the basis of this information, area dividing information which allocates one of the first image and the second image to each of the areas into which an image plane is divided in the same coordinate system. A decoding section decodes the two sets of image data for the respective first and second image that were loaded into a main memory, determines which image data to adopt for each pixel based on the area dividing information, and writes the adopted image data to a buffer memory. The decoding process and writing process are carried out in tile image units of a predetermined size using a working memory.
