  • Patent number: 10923047
Abstract: Backlight constant current driver board comprises boost circuit, constant current control circuit, switchover switch circuit, and light strip socket, connects to backlight light strip via light strip socket. Boost circuit boosts input voltage before outputting output voltage and transmits via light strip socket as power supply to backlight light strip. Switchover switch circuit controls, according to PWM signal and power supply voltage, connection or disconnection of current loop between backlight light strip and ground. Constant current control circuit monitors and keeps constant current magnitude of backlight light strip in switchover switch circuit. By switchover switch circuit, during system standby, formation of current loop between backlight light strip and ground is prevented so backlight light strip does not emit light, thus solving problems of screen emitting dim lights when existing LCD television standby or constant current drive control chip not working.

  • Patent number: 10890709
Abstract: In one embodiment, an overhead street light (a luminaire) is formed that has an asymmetric light intensity distribution, where the peak intensity is greatest along the direction of the street, lower directly across the street, and much lower on the house side of the street. Around the edge of a circular transparent light guide are white light LEDs that inject light into the light guide. To help control the asymmetry of the light intensity distribution, sawtooth-shaped grooves are formed in the light guide surface opposite to the light-emission surface and parallel to the street. Gaussian diffusers are used to partially diffuse the light. By proper selection of the grooves, the Gaussian diffuser, and the relative amounts of light emitted by LED segments around the light guide, the desired asymmetrical light intensity distribution is achieved while a direct view of the light exit surface appears as a uniform light.

  • Patent number: 10884268
Abstract: A system and method providing correlated color temperature-tunable (CCT-tunable) white light using a laser diode(s) in conjunction with a III-Nitride nanowires-based LED element grown on a semi-transparent substrate. The tunability spans across yellow, amber, and red wavelengths and can be implemented by current injection. The current-dependent broad wavelength tunability enables control of wide range of CCT values (intensity, peak wavelength, and spectral coverage). The broad coverage in the yellow-amber-red color regime mimics that of a passive yellow phosphor, while the injection of current into the LED element defines an active phosphor element. The semi-transparent active phosphor element allows direct transmission of light from a laser diode(s) for achieving extreme wide tunability of CCT.
