Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a serving radio base station (RBS) for link adaptation (LA) of PDCCH. The method includes obtaining information about a reduced power subframe (RPS) pattern used by a neighboring RBS. An indication of a reception quality of the PDCCH at a user equipment (UE) is obtained. A determination is made whether the obtained indication relates to an RPS or a non-RPS according to the obtained information. A first LA loop for a PDCCH to the first UE is controlled. The first LA loop relates to non-RPS. A second LA loop for the PDCCH to the UE is controlled. The second LA loop relates to RPS. At least one of the first and second LA algorithms, depending on the determining, is controlled based on the obtained indication of a reception quality.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for integrating useful data while measuring available bandwidth between a cloud computing client device and a server farm. More specifically the present invention relates to the method for integrating useful application data carried inside probe packets, by tools that estimate available bandwidth between two nodes connected through the internet (cloud). Importantly, the present invention relates to the method to overcome application data loss that typically happens during the available bandwidth estimation process. Advantageously, the Cloud Computing Environment (CCE) user's internet usage billing reduces significantly and also Available Bandwidth Measurement Tools (ABMT) could be run more frequently without significant increase in billing.

A cognitive or an input agent provides an input of an active concept which is matched against existing domain concepts. The resultant pool of relevant domain concepts is then used to derive virtual concept definitions using a semantic processing protocol. The derivation is then overlaid with a concept of relative proximity of an attribute from another within an attribute set. An additional layer of coherence is given by the relative proximity measure. Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus of transceiving a signal using a link adaptation in a communication system, particularly, a method of dividing a resource region into a plurality of resource regions, and applying different line adaptations to the resource regions. A method of controlling a link of a terminal in a mobile communication system receives at least two downlink channel signals to estimate states of received channels, generates a channel discrepancy report when states of channels exceed a preset threshold, and reports the channel discrepancy report to a base station through a preset uplink channel. A method of controlling a link of a base station receives a channel discrepancy report through an uplink channel, and determines MCS and transmission power of downlink channels based on the received channel discrepancy report and transmits the determined MCS and transmission power to the terminal through a downlink channel.

Abstract: In one embodiment, attack observations by a first node are provided to a user interface device regarding an attack detected by the node. Input from the user interface device is received that confirms that a particular attack observation by the first node indicates that the attack was detected correctly by the first node. Attack observations by one or more other nodes are provided to the user interface device. Input is received from the user interface device that confirms whether the attack observations by the first node and the attack observations by the one or more other nodes are both related to the attack. The one or more other nodes are identified as potential voters for the first node in a voting-based attack detection mechanism based on the attack observations from the first node and the one or more other nodes being related.

Abstract: Technologies for managing congestion of a communication channel includes a network device for receiving a network packet from a computing device destined for another computing device, analyzing network traffic flows over a communication channel established between the network device and an upstream network device, and determining whether the communication channel is congested as a function of the network traffic flows. Such technologies may also include storing the received packet in a local storage in response to determining that the communication channel is congested, transmitting an acknowledgement packet to the computing device in response to storing the received network packet local storage, and transmitting the stored network packet to the upstream network device in response to determining that the communication channel is no longer congested.

Abstract: Techniques to operate circuitry in an integrated circuit are provided. The circuitry may include rate detection circuitry, receiver circuitry, and configuration circuitry. The receiver circuitry may receive a data stream with an arbitrary data rate. The rate detection circuitry may receive a reference clock signal that is associated with the received data stream. The rate detection circuitry determines the frequency of the reference clock signal such that an appropriate clock signal may be generated for the receiver circuitry. The receiver clock signal may be generated by clock generation circuitry that is coupled to the rate detection circuitry. The configuration circuitry may accordingly configure the receiver circuitry based at least on the determined frequency of the reference clock signal so that the receiver circuitry may operate at the arbitrary data rate.
