Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for configuring a virtual port channel (VPC) domain. The disclosed technology involves determining that a first switch and a second switch are connected in a VPC domain, determining that the first switch is in a primary role, and determining a unique identifier for the first switch, a VPC portchannel number for the first switch, and an orphan port number for the first switch. Also, the first switch receives a unique identifier, a VPC portchannel number, and an orphan port number for the second switch. The first switch can associate the VPC portchannel number for the second switch and the VPC portchannel number for the first switch with a unified VPC portchannel number and create a first unique orphan port number for the first switch and a second unique orphan port number for the second switch.

Abstract: A system and method for configuring component carriers in carrier aggregation is disclosed. The method comprises communicating a carrier aggregation capability for a selected UE to an enhanced Node B (eNode B) configured to provide service for a plurality of UEs. A plurality of component carriers at the eNode B can be configured for the selected UE based on the carrier aggregation capability of the selected UE. A component carrier configuration message is broadcast from the eNode B containing component carrier configuration information that is common to the plurality of UEs. Specific configuration information that is specific to the selected UE is communicated using dedicated communication signaling. Selected configured component carriers are then activated by the eNode B for the selected UE. Activation can be based on the UE's quality of service needs, bandwidth needs, and strength of signal for the component carriers.

  • Patent number: 10148508
Abstract: A method of signaling between Ethernet transceivers along a link is disclosed. The method includes advertising first and second supported data rates between the transceivers during an autonegotiation sequence. The link is then trained to train transceiver operating parameters with a training sequence of symbols. The training includes initiating the training sequence to support the first data rate, determining whether the link can operate at the first data rate, and transferring control information requesting a retrain at a second data rate different than the first data rate if the link cannot support the first data rate. The link is retrained, in response to the control information, to train the parameters for operation at the second data rate. The retraining is carried out without repeating the autonegotiation sequence. The link is then operated in a data transfer mode at the second data rate.

  • Patent number: 9693237
Abstract: A method, a computer readable medium and an apparatus for optimizing a cellular network architecture are disclosed. For example, the method obtains network traffic data for a plurality of different endpoint device types, wherein the network traffic data comprises network traffic data for each of the plurality of different endpoint device types, and predicts a future traffic pattern for one of the plurality of different endpoint device types based on the network traffic data. The method then adjusts a parameter of the cellular network architecture in response to the future traffic pattern predicted for the one of the plurality of different endpoint device types.

  • Patent number: 9693258
Abstract: A method in a base station for adapting link adaptation of a transmission between a user equipment and the base station is provided. The link adaptation relates to an initial value of a Block Error Rate, BLER, related to the transmission. The base station decides that the user equipment is in congestion responsive to a scheduling bit rate for the transmission in relation to a rate of data packets arriving to or being sent by the user equipment being below a first threshold. Responsive to the user equipment being in congestion, the base station adapts the link adaptation by increasing the value of the BLER of the link adaptation in relation to the initial value, until the user equipment is out of congestion or until the base station detects that any one of the user equipment and the base station tries to send high priority data.

  • Patent number: 9680971
Abstract: A method, system and an apparatus to paravirtualize a wireless interface is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method receives a frame of data for a wireless service through a wireless interface of a host device using a processor. If the frame of data is associated with a first type of category, the frame of data is processed through a first standard interface. If the frame of data is associated with a second type of category, the frame is processed through a second standard interface. The method then sends the frame of data processed through the first standard interface or the second standard interface to a guest. A virtual wireless interface associated the guest that is emulating the wireless interface of the host device converts the frame of data processed through the first standard interface to the second standard of communication.

  • Patent number: 9642176
Abstract: Disclosed is an electrical device and method of automatically searching for and connecting to known or unknown available public communication infrastructure and/or devices in the vicinity using a multi-layer communication model. Each layer may include binding information for local available communication methods and shareable hardware devices, a routing table, and, if applicable, one or more logon profiles for service providers. Communication layers may be built by searching for available public communication infrastructure and/or devices in the vicinity by actively sending out connection requests to all addressable destinations along the available transport medium. Each node is able to access and use the communication infrastructure of each other node. Switching between layers as they become inoperable and/or become available without any user interaction required is also possible.

Abstract: A web client may receive a run-length encoded packet of graphics data from a Remote Desktop Protocol server via a web-socket server. The web client may determine a run-length encoding algorithm for the packet based on a first color space associated with the packet. The web client may decompress the packet based on the determined run-length encoding algorithm, where decompressing the packet involves determining a plurality of commands to be performed on a canvas associated with the web client. The web client may render the graphics data on the canvas using the plurality of commands, wherein the graphics data is associated with a graphical interface for viewing and interacting with a remote desktop.

Abstract: A system and method for recording media for a contact center allows for call event tagging and call recording stitching. A processor receives call metadata for a telephony call. The call includes a link to a recording of media exchanged during the telephony call. The processor receives a call event associated with the telephony call. The call event includes a timestamp of when the event occurred during the telephony call. The processor stores the call metadata and the call event in a database record. The processor retrieves the database record for displaying the call event on a display device. A user command is received for identifying the call event in response to the display on the display device. A portion of the recording associated with the call event is retrieved in response to the user command. An audible rendering is then provided of the retrieved portion of the recording.
