Abstract: A hydraulic hammer may include a power cell adapted to reciprocally drive a piston along an axis. The piston may, in turn, drive a hammer tool. A power cell and housing may be axially secured together by a plurality of tie rods and nuts secured to ends of the tie rods, and the housing may include open-sided pockets for accommodating the nuts. Each pocket may include a cavity that accommodates an extension of the tie rod or a specially formed nut to minimize movement of the nut in the direction of the pocket opening and thereby minimize bending of the tie rod. Engaging the back of the nut with the inside of the nut pocket further reduces the opportunity for the nut to rotate in the nut pocket as a result of force applied to the nut by the tie rod.

Abstract: A connector with bolt includes a first and second housings, a nut, bolt, and spring. The bolt is movable between a first position, which is a position of a tip of a threaded part of the bolt at a time when the tip of the threaded part is in contact with one end of the nut, and a second position, which is a position of the tip at a time when the threaded part having passed through the nut is idly revolvable. The spring has an elastic property set such that, when fitting of the first and second housings is completed by tightening of the bolt and the nut, the bolt moves to a middle between the first and second positions and a reaction force of the spring that is compressed by the movement of the bolt raises a torque for the tightening to a specified value.

Abstract: One or more floating fastener assemblies used to fasten components together are described. In some embodiments, the components are top and bottom portions of an enclosure of a computing device. Each floating fastener assembly can include a fastener having at least one surface that can engage with a surface of the enclosure to limit the rotation of the fastener during fastening. Each floating fastener can also include a clearance area for the fastener to “float” in a lateral direction with respect to the enclosure. Thus, when corresponding openings in the top and bottom portions of the enclosure are not exactly aligned, each fastener can shift laterally to allow screws to engage to fasten the top and bottom portions together.
