Abstract: The decking anchors have a web anchor and a flange anchor that are operatively coupled together. In an assembly position, the web anchor and the flange anchor may be oriented in the same plane. After insertion into the cavity of the decking, the flange anchor may contact the upper flange of the decking, the web anchor may be rotated (e.g., after moving vertically upward while the flange anchor remains stationary), the web anchor may engage the webs of the decking (e.g., after moving vertically downward while the flange anchor remains stationary), and a stop may be operatively coupled to the web anchor and the flange anchor, in order to secure the web anchor and the flange anchor to each other while the web anchor contacts the webs and the flange anchor contacts the upper flange to form an anchor within the decking that has loading resistance in all directions.

Abstract: A coupling device includes male and female couplings having first and second circumferential grooves on surfaces of the respective couplings that face each other when the couplings are fitted together. The coupling device further includes an engaging member. When the male coupling is pushed into the female coupling, the engaging member is retracted into the second groove, allowing the male coupling to be inserted into the female coupling, and when the couplings are fitted together, the engaging member is pushed into the first groove by coil springs so as to be fitted into both of the groove, thereby preventing separation of the male and female couplings in the axial direction. Countersunk head screws support respective divided pieces of the engaging member. Slotted head setscrews are screwed in at boundaries between the adjacent divided pieces to press the divided pieces against the bottom of the first groove.

Abstract: A shock and vibration-proof fastener of general application and particularly suitable to hold dual wheels demountably assembled to a cargo vehicle hub. The fastener is designed to isolate the threads thereof from radial and torsion stresses utilizing a split collet encircling the shank of the fastener with its periphery converging toward the collet ends at angles of the order of 4 to 1 relative to the collet axis and having a nesting interference fit with a similarly tapered bore through the parts or wheels to be clamped together. The fastener shank has a threaded well in one end mateable with a cap screw having a self-aligning conical surface on the underside of its head engaging the rim edge of a loose fitting washer. The self-aligning surfaces are preferably provided with a ring of teeth and notches interengaging along helical surfaces having a pitch substantially greater than that of the fastener threads.
