Sensitized Or Doped Patents (Class 430/95)
  • Patent number: 4239844
Abstract: An electrophotoconductive material having the molecular formula:Cd(S.sub.x Se.sub.1-x):yCu.zCl is improved by controlling x in the range of from about 0.95 to about 0.98, y from about 0.0001 to about 0.001 and z is from about 0.001 to about 0.0015. The materials also have a relatively narrow particle size distribution and a relatively fine particle size and the surfaces relatively free of p-type copper sulfide. The improved materials exhibit and maintain a large differential between the image voltage and the background voltage of in excess of 800 volts when the material is used as an electrophotoconductive layer in a photosensitive member of equipment used in electrophotograhic copying processes.

  • Patent number: 4226929
Abstract: A photoreceptor of electrophotography having a flexibility and a sensitivity to electromagnetic wavelengths of a wide range extending as far as the red color region of the spectrum of light rays is produced by forming a layer of a halogen-doped Se-S alloy on a substrate and further forming on said layer a halogen-doped Se-Te alloy layer. The Se-S alloy contains sulfur in a weight ratio of 0.1 to 0.35 to the Se-S alloy. The Se-Te alloy contains tellurium in a weight ratio of 0.05 to 0.35 to the Se-Te alloy.

  • Patent number: 4225222
Abstract: A printing drum is disclosed for electrostatic copying. The drum has a photo-electric-sensitive layer consisting of amorphous silicon advantageously containing hydrogen. The layer is designed to have a PN transition. A method is also disclosed for producing the layer by means of decomposition of a conveyed silicon-containing gas to which, if necessary, a gaseous doping material is added during a glow discharge in a heated printing drum.
