Connected By Transversely Inserted Pin Patents (Class 439/45)
  • Patent number: 4830620
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises four conductor elements each having a surface portion which is spaced from, but presented towards, a first axis. The surface portions are equiangularly distributed about the first axis and are substantially equidistant from the first axis. Each conductor element extends at least partly between first and second planes which are perpendicular to the first axis. A rod structure has a central axis, the rod structure comprises four elongate bodies of conductive material which are supported in mutually electrically insulated relationship. The bodies of conductive material are substantially parallel to each other and substantially equiangularly distributed about the central axis of the rod structure and substantially equidistant therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4820171
Abstract: A coupling plate with a plurality of electric coupling points comprises, in a preferred embodiment, a pair of plane plates (10, 12), between which there is provided an electrically insulating carrier layer (11), on which a pattern of electrically conducting areas (21-26) is provided. In the preferred embodiment, an electric coupling point is provided for each mechanical coupling stud (15) projecting from the upper side of the top plate (10). The studs (15) are hollow and flush with projections (19) on the lower plate (12) so that punched parts of the electrically conducting areas (20, 22, 24, 26) are just moved into the hollow coupling studs by means of the projections (19) on the lower plate (12), thus making the conducting areas accessible through cuts (16) in the coupling studs (15). The invention also concerns a method of producing such a plate and a board consisting of a plurality of interconnected plates of said type.

  • Patent number: 4781600
Abstract: A watertight and leak-proof junction box for use, for example, in vehicles such as automobiles, and a process of assembling such a junction box are provided. The wiring board assembly comprising a plurality of insulating plates, wiring conductors strips and electric contacts formed by raising the free ends of the strips so as to project from the outer surface of the wiring plate pile which is embedded in an insulating resin through molding to form a resin-embedded wiring board assembly prior to assembling the junction box, and then the resin-embedded wiring board assembly joined with a connector support board having connector bodies for receiving the terminals of electrical units and/or wire harnesses is contained in a watertight case.

  • Patent number: 4778393
Abstract: A pin switch board matrix is described including a laminated board with two insulative substrates each, provided with a plurality of parallel conductive X-patterns and Y-patterns, made of resilient metal wires, respectively. The laminated board has a plurality of through holes, each penetrating the two substrates, at positions corresponding to intersections of the respective X and Y-conductive patterns. When a short plug is inserted into a selected through hole, the X and Y-patterns corresponding to the selected via the short plug. The substrates have a plurality of parallel guide grooves for receiving the wire patterns.

  • Patent number: 4740867
Abstract: A connection system for connecting a flexible circuit having a row of printed contact areas to a PC board having a corresponding row of terminal posts employs a connector having a housing with a bottm wall and a pair of side walls at least one of which is movable with respect to the other. A row of post-receiving passages are present in the bottom wall which passages are arranged to receive the posts of the PC board. An edge margin of the flexible circuit is clamped between the housing side walls so that the contact areas thereon are aligned with the passages in the housing bottom wall and a set of springs positioned inside the housing flexes the circuit edge margin so that when the movable housing side wall is in its closed position, the row of contact areas overhang the passages in the housing bottom wall.

  • Patent number: 4726774
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises dielectric material defining a passageway, a conductor element having a surface portion that is spaced from, but presented towards, the central axis of the passageway, and a composite rod of dielectric material and conductive material. The rod comprises an elongate core of dielectric material and an elongate body of conductive material secured to and extending lengthwise of the core. The rod can be inserted into the passageway along the central axes of the passageway. When the rod is fitted in the passageway, the body of conductive material engages the surface portion of the conductor element, so that electrically-conductive contact is established between the conductor element and the body of conductive material.

  • Patent number: 4677540
Abstract: An AC motor control panel includes a short bar substrate (10) which is placed on a connection terminal (14) of an electronic component of an inverter control circuit arranged in a housing. A tubular connection member (17) is inserted into a hole (10b) provided in the short bar substrate 10. A screw (13) is inserted into holes provided in the tubular connected member (17), short bar (15) and connection terminal (14), and the end of the screw (13) is screwed into a nut (18) provided on a lower portion of the connection terminal (14). The connection terminal (14), short bar (15) and tubular connection member (7) are thus electrically interconnected.
