  • Publication number: 20080064460
Abstract: A software mediated and enabled word game comprising the steps of turning a plurality of letter tiles upside down with each letter tile having a single letter on one side thereof. The software then randomly determines which player goes first, and each player then draws a single letter tile until each player can form a three letter word composed of a plurality of letters. Points are scored for the first player to form a word. The players then take turns guessing the word that another player has by making a guess of a three letter word with each guess responded to by the answer ‘odd’ or ‘even’ corresponding to either an odd or even number of correct letters guessed respectively. Points are scored for the player who correctly guessed the word.

Abstract: The embodiments of present invention provide a method for playing wagering games with dominoes. According to a first embodiment of the present invention, a player first places a wager and a dealer then deals three dominoes each to the player and the dealer. The player is then afforded the opportunity to inspect the three dominoes and to arrange their orientation to produce a top hand and a bottom hand defined by a separating line of each domino. The top hand rank is determined by spot values above the separating line and the bottom hand rank is determined by the spot values below the separating line. The dealer arranges their dominoes in the same fashion as the players. Once the arrangements are complete, the player's wager is resolved by evaluating the player's top and bottom hand to the dealer's top and bottom hand in a predetermined fashion.

Abstract: The method of entertainment “Stos” is an adaptation for casinos, videogame machines and computers of the most popular game of chance in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. It is also known as Bank Table, Shtoss and Pharaon. In a casino, the game takes place on a table on which there is a game field with suit-less cards and four suit cards: spades (), clubs (), diamonds (?) and hearts (?). The game generally uses one or several standard 52-card decks. The players bet that the card they select will be dealt out of the deck on an even interval. To do so, they place their chips on a suit-less card that they pick on the game field. They may also predict the suit of their card by placing a bet on one of the suit cards. After the cards are shuffled and cut, the dealer places the cards face down on the table and draws the cards in order, two at a time. All bets on a card are considered played as soon as the first matching card is dealt from the deck.

Abstract: A poker game offers the possibility of sequential hand play and large payoffs. In one embodiment, a first set of cards is used to form a first poker hand. A draw feature may allow the player to discard cards and obtain replacement cards. If the first poker hand is a predetermined winning set of cards or has a first rank, then the outcome is a winning outcome. Otherwise, the game ends. If the first hand is a winning outcome, the player may be paid winnings or play a subsequent hand in which the player attempts to achieve a hand having a higher rank than the previous hand. If the second hand has a higher rank than the previous hand, the player may be paid winnings or continue playing. In one embodiment, payouts for particular ranks or hands increase as the game continues.

Abstract: A gaming assembly to play a variation of the game baccarat, the gaming assembly includes a computer processor assembly, a display assembly and a user actuatable selector assembly. The computer processor assembly generates a player's hand and a banker's hand in accordance with rules of baccarat, one of those hands being designated the user's hand, and subsequently determines a winning hand in accordance with the rules of baccarat, designating the user as a winner if the user's hand is also the wining hand. Additionally, the computer processor assembly monitors consecutive ones of the user's hands and indicates a bonus payout to the user in the event that consecutive ones of the user's hands have a final number count equal to a natural nine, and during game play may allow one of the initial cards that comprise the player's hand or the banker's hand to be discarded in exchange for a new card to complete the initial hand.

Abstract: The invention consists in a method of playing a participation game involving comparison of players' objects (a.k.a. game cards) with a common object (a.k.a. draw result) remaining the same until the end of the game. The method involves players placing requests. Upon reception of requests, the system provides the requesting player with a game card and the active draw result. The system evaluates if a comparison between the game card and draw result fulfills an end-of-game criterion. When such criterion is fulfilled, the game card is declared a winning card and the system prevents the distribution of new cards. Otherwise, the system continues providing cards until the criterion is fulfilled. Accordingly, a suitable system is also described for the play of said participation game.

Abstract: A scoring method and system for determining points in a game. Goal-based points are determined as a function of a player achieving a goal set by the player that is not predefined by the game and are used to determine the player's status in the game, such as whether the player advances to a next level. Subjective style points are awarded if the player performs feats of style that are not necessary tasks of the game, depend upon the type of game, and may include sliding, spinning, jumping, blocking an opponent, passing an opponent, and avoiding obstacles. Objective skill points may be combined with subjective style points and goal-based points. Alternatively, one of these three types of points may be modified as a function of one or both of the other two types of points.

Player controls 56 allow the player to control how the cards are revealed at the appropriate stage of the game. Thus, they may be revealed individually, allowing the player to adopt a strategy in which bets are placed as soon as a hand is found to meet a minimum strength, but without knowing the full strength of the hand. This adds to the excitement of play. The controls 56 also allow a player to instruct wagers to be made automatically when a hand meets a minimum requirement, thus speeding up game play.
