And Reactant Having Alcoholic Or Phenolic -xh Group, Wherein X Is Chalcogen (and Wherein H Of -xh May Be Replaced By Substituted Or Unsubstituted Ammonium, Or By A Group Ia Or Iia Light Metal) Patents (Class 558/92)
Abstract: Reactive dispersants for magnetic recording media are prepared by sequentially phosphating and esterifying or esterifying and phosphating alkoxylated alcohols having at least two carbon atoms and at least two hydroxyl groups. The phosphating agent can be phosphorus oxychloride while the esterifying agent can be acrylic acid.
Abstract: A novel phosphoric ester represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## is produced by halogenating the hydroxyl group of a monoalkyl phosphoric acid, reacting the halogenated product with N-benzoyloxycarbonyl serine ester and then removing protecting groups for the carboxyl group and amino group.According to the present production process, the phosphoric ester can be obtained inexpensively at a high yield and high purity. Further, the phosphoric ester has a structure similar to that of the phospholipid and has nitrogen-containing polar groups such as amino group in one molecule, so that it has excellent emulsification ability and moisture keeping function. It is thus useful as emulsifiers, humectants and the like.
Abstract: Liquid mixed triaryl thiophosphate mixtures can be prepared by forming a mixture of phenol and substituted phenols, forming a phosphite from that mixture and sulfurizing the phosphite, washing the thiophosphate with aqueous base, and drying the so washed thiophosphate under mild conditions. The products are liquid while containing at least 25 percent symmetrical triaryl thiophosphate. Colorless and odorless products are prepared.
Abstract: Phosphobrominated polyetherpolyols which contain in their molecule oxyalkylene radicals bound to phosphorus atoms in the phosphate or phosphonate state and 1,4-dioxy-2,3-dibromo-2-butylene radicals in which the ratio of the total number of oxyalkylene radicals to the total number of phosphorus atoms is equal to at least 7.These polyetherpolyols can be used as flame-retarding reactive additives in the manufacture of flame-retardant flexible polyurethane foams involving polyetherpolyols, the foams possessing good comfort-conferring properties.
Abstract: A continuous process for producing alkyl and alkoxy alkyl phosphates in which an alkali metal alkoxide at a temperature at 50.degree. C. or less is continuously fed to a reactor while phosphorus oxychloride is continuously fed to the reactor under ratio control. Part of the contents of the reactor is circulated through a cooling device or apparatus to help maintain optimum reaction temperature. The phosphorus oxychloride ratio is adjusted to maintain proper reaction end point. Crude reaction product is continuously removed from the reactor and quenched with water to remove sodium chloride and stop the reaction.
