  • Patent number: 10107010
Abstract: A lock includes a housing and a lock mechanism with a dead-bolt disposed in the housing, wherein the dead-bolt is retractable and protrudable between its two terminal positions. The lock further includes at least one bending element disposed in the housing connected to a mechanical component of the lock mechanism at a connecting location, wherein the longest extension of the bending element is defined along a first axis. When the dead-bolt retracts and protrudes, the connecting location of the mechanical component moves along a second axis. The first axis is angled with regard to the second axis, such that when the dead-bolt is displaced into at least one terminal position, the bending element elastically bends and the bending element maintains the lock mechanism in the terminal position.

  • Patent number: 8789398
Abstract: A security lock has a lock bolt that can be moved from an open position into a closed position and vice versa. A manually operated drive is provided to operate the lock bolt. Movement of the lock bolt is blocked in a blocked position by a bolt block. A gearing mechanism is arranged between the bolt block and an electric drive for moving the bolt block from a release position into a block position, and for blocking the bolt block against pivoting in the block position. The gearing mechanism ensures that, starting from a release position, the bolt block is first moved into a block position, and then the bolt block is blocked against pivoting in the opposite direction by continued running of the electric drive. The electric drive can be reversed to remove the block against the bolt block and to move the bolt block into the release position.

Abstract: An independently interactive interconnected lock includes an interconnecting mechanism that retracts a latchbolt and a deadbolt when an inner handle is moved between an up position, an intermediate position and a down position. The deadbolt is retracted by a deadbolt lock mechanism as the inner handle moves from the up position to the intermediate position. The latchbolt is retracted by a latchbolt lock mechanism as the inner handle continues to move from the intermediate position to the down position. When the inner handle is moved to the up position, both the latchbolt and deadbolt are extended and the deadbolt lock mechanism is disconnected from the latchbolt lock mechanism such that manipulation of the latchbolt lock mechanism to retract the latchbolt does not retract the deadbolt. The inner handle operates with low handle torque because the deadbolt and the latchbolt are not retracted simultaneously.

The system can be activated by remote control or by a manual knob. The system is constructed so as to fit on any standard single cylinder, cylindrical deadbolt system and utilize the existing deadbolts keys. The system can be used in homes, apartments, or other buildings.

  • Patent number: 7363784

  • Patent number: 7065991
Abstract: The present invention refers to a safety lock for glass doors with a standard cut. This lock has two covers (1 and 9) and a strike plate (13), defining an internal space, inside which it is the lock mechanism of reduce dimensions, where the Hungarian type lock cylinder (11) is firmly attached. The lock mechanism is comprised by part of the base cover (1), which perpendicular walls to the base form a substantially rectangular box, having two crenellated parallel walls and perpendicular to the strike plate (13). Inside this box is arranged an internal mechanism comprised by a grooved lower plate (2), a locking plate (3), a pin (4), a spring (5) and a grooved upper plate (7) the grooves in the lower and upper plates being matched one another.

  • Patent number: 7028514
Abstract: A locking latch includes an outer housing and a handle in relative movable engagement with the outer housing. In rigid engagement with the handle is a barrel positioned in the outer housing. A key cylinder is in relative movable engagement with the barrel. The key cylinder is rotatable by a key between locked and unlocked positions in which rotation of the handle is, respectively, inhibited and enabled. A latching member is in movable engagement with the barrel so that rotation of the barrel by the handle induces movement of the latching member to latch and unlatch an access structure of a container. An engaging member is in movable engagement with the key cylinder so that rotation of the key cylinder induces movement of the engaging member between an engaged position where the handle is locked to the outer housing to inhibit rotation of the handle and an unengaged position where rotation of the handle is not inhibited.

  • Patent number: 7000440
Abstract: A plurality of separately keyed padlocks, ranging in number from 7 to 150 or more, are securely held within a circular assembly that is rotated for selection of a specific padlock. This assembly of locks can be placed at a level for easy reach from a car window. Visible imprinted numbers provide a quick way for authorized members of a group to locate the padlock which a specific key will open. When opened and the padlock is turned opposite a slotted bar, moving the bar actuates a separately installed automatic gate-opener for access to an area. Alternatively, the system can be adapted for use manually by authorized personnel to lock or unlock a gate, door, or secured equipment. No padlock can be removed from the assembly except for periodic changing of a lock when an individual leaves the group and thus is no longer permitted to enter the closed area.

Abstract: A lock for a door (10) comprises a casing (11), a bolt (55) operable to extend from or retract into the casing, a pivoted operating handle (36) operable at one side of the door to retract the bolt, lock means (28) for key operation at the other side of the door, and blocking means (81) to prevent operation of the handle to retract the bolt. In a locked closed position of the door, the bolt (55) is extended, and with the blocking means operated, key operation of the exterior lock means (28) both retracts the bolt and also de-actuates the blocking means. At the inside of the door further key operable lock means (39, 40) are provided sokly to operate and, if required to the de-actuate the blocking means.

  • Patent number: 6923028
Abstract: A security locking system for trailers that features an interior locking bar that is controlled from the outside. The locking bar is traversed in a linear motion parallel to the door by a toggle mechanism. The bar is guided into the locking mechanism by two guides mounted to the inside of the trailer door. The toggle mechanism is turned using a common trailer latch that also locks by use of a key. Alternatively the latch could be modified to lock or unlock by using a remote activator. Once the latch is turned all the way (90 degrees) it will raise the locking bar into the upper secure bracket. The lower part of the locking bar will be lowered into the lock housing which is hidden just under the trailer floor, it will then be in position in the locking mechanism for the key pin to be inserted and then locked. The locking mechanism can also be modified to be controlled using a remote activator.
