Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods for transferring planning data of a plan are described herein. A data transfer request may be received to transfer the planning data included in the planning application. Next, based on the received request a data transfer option may be identified, from a plurality of data transfer options, to transfer the planning data. Finally, the identified data transfer option is executed to transfer the planning data to the enterprise application module.

Abstract: A technique for performing commercial venture analysis involves establishing an empirically-derived structure and evaluating companies using analytical techniques within that structure. The technique may involve defining jobs, or goals a customer is attempting to reach, with dozens or even hundreds of outcomes. Ideally, the structure and tools facilitate analysis that would not be possible otherwise. Moreover, the nature of the system enables real-time input for changing conditions and the ability to calculate returns for new markets in which products or services do not exist.

Abstract: State-based decentralized hardware asset management comprises managed assets and a manager, both of which comprise information about the other. If a managed asset is replaced, communications are exchanged between the manager and the replacement asset so that each can obtain identifying information about the other. If the asset manager is replaced, initially, the replacement asset manager can broadcast a request for identifying information to the assets it is managing. Additionally, periodic communications between the assets and the manager request, from each asset, identifying information of the manager. To ensure that each asset recognizes the replacement asset manager, a voting process is utilized. An asset manager also maintains state information for each asset informing subsequent action to be undertaken by the asset manager with respect to each such asset and enabling the asset manager to optimze its operation, including by avoiding actions and communications incompatible with current asset states.

Abstract: Systems and method for deploying CO2 emission and financial cost optimized secured algorithms to cloud computing environments are disclosed. Algorithms are converted into a single state assignment representation that includes a combination of statements that represent sub operations of the algorithm. Runtime and power consumption cost values associated with executing the statements in the cloud are calibrated by executing the statements in a particular configuration of a cloud some number of time with multiple security protocols and then analyzing the results. CO2 emission and financial cost values are mapped to the calibrated runtime and power consumption cost values. The mapped CO2 emission and financial cost values and the calibrated runtime and power consumption cost values are used by a linear program to optimize a partitioning vector of indicators that define which security protocol will be used to execute each statement in the cloud when the algorithm is deployed.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods for scoring and ranking transit stops and transit lines are provided. In one aspect, a method includes determining data and factors associated with a first transit stop or line and calculating a score for the first transit stop or line. The data and factors used in the scoring calculation may be a combination of the number of vehicle departures from the transit stop, the number of transit lines connected to the transit stop, a point of interest proximity factor, a population center factor, the number of trips on the transit line, the number of transit stops on the transit line, the number of interconnected transit lines and the travel distance of the transit line. The transit stop and transit lines scores may be iterated over each other. Systems and machine-readable media for scoring and ranking transit stops and transit lines are also provided.

Abstract: Web-based business process management software systems built on client-server architecture are described. The application and database may reside on central servers and may be accessed via dedicated links or the Internet across multiple locations simultaneously. Each person may have a predefined role and, based on that, the system may authenticate and authorize a person to access only the screens and data to which the user has been provided access. The user may only record the completion status and not modify the task in any way. This control may be restricted to only authorized personnel. When users log in, they may be presented with easy to use menus of routines and tasks organized by customer, people, processes and financial categories. In each of these categories, the user may be presented with their tasks for the day/week/month in a visually appealing way to record the completion status of the task.

Abstract: A method of fixing a problem with a user interface includes receiving information about the page in an optimization server. The page includes a display element. The information is received from a client with a request for code. Source data of the user interface is received by the client from a server distinct from the optimization server. The method further includes determining that an element on the user interface is associated with a known problem and associated fix. The fix includes modification of the element. An expected conversion rate of the user interface with the modified element is higher than prior to the modification. The method also includes generating code for modifying the element in accordance with the fix and providing the code to the client. The client displays the user interface with the modified element based on the source. Modifying the element does not include modifying the source.

Abstract: Disclosed is a platform for real time management of vehicle data in an enterprise. The vehicle data may be evaluated by one or more rules. Based on outcomes of the evaluation of the rules, alerts may be provided to a user of the platform and/or to drivers (operators) of the vehicles. Further, the enterprise's backend systems may be invoked to initiate activity in the backend system depending on outcomes of evaluating the rules using the vehicle data. Backend activity may include initiating purchase orders, updating backend system databases, initiating workflows in the enterprise, and other business processes.

Abstract: A system and a method for optimization and management of Demand Response in real time manner is provided. The system employs a resource modeler, a forecasting engine, an optimizer, a dispatch engine, and a baseline engine. The system is built using open framework standards based signaling and data collection, and is offered under a “Software-as-a-Service” model to significantly reduce the cost of participation in demand response. It uses off the shelf information and communication technology (ICT) and controls equipment.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method of facilitating presentation and user selection of at least one timeslot, such as for an appointment, is presented. In this method, a request for available timeslots within a time period is received from a user device. In response, timeslot data identifying the available timeslots is retrieved from a scheduling system. An identifier key for each of the available timeslots, as well as graphical display data indicating the available time slots, are generated based on the timeslot data. The keys and the graphical display data are transmitted to the user device. A selection of at least one of the identifier keys is received from the user device. In response to receiving the selection, the at least one available timeslot corresponding to the selection is determined and forwarded to the scheduling system to reserve the at least one corresponding available timeslot.

In one embodiment, a plurality of job management maturity levels may be defined and arranged in a hierarchy. Current job management information may then be received from the organization regarding the organization's current job management structure. Using this current job management information, a current job management maturity level may be determined from the plurality of maturity levels. A target maturity level may then be selected from the plurality of job management maturity levels. One or more maturation operations may be devised that, when implemented, shift the organization to the target maturity level. The one or more maturation operations may then be performed, thus, shifting the organization to the target maturity level.

The individual printed product information sheets (which are detached from the ordered stack in order) may be connected to structures in the stores based on a planogram for a set of products for display in the store. The order of the printed product information sheets may match an order in which the sheets are positioned based on the planogram.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a method for providing performance driven municipal asset needs and sustainability analysis. The method includes calculating asset health scores for a plurality of assets in an infrastructure. The asset health scores change as a function of time. The method also includes identifying prescription options for the assets. The identifying is based on the asset health scores. The prescription options include cost, value, and time for execution. A multi-objective optimization is applied based on the asset health scores and prescription options to identify at least a subset of the prescription options that may be implemented within a provided budget to maintain a sustainability threshold for an overall infrastructure health score.

Abstract: This invention involves the configuration of locker sizes during installation that can be reconfigured periodically to conform to the packages that arrive at the locker location. Locker control software can enable the efficient selection of locker size so that the locker bank can be optimized to the size of the packages that are delivered to the locker location. The reconfigurable lockers also may include a modular locker control module that can assist in the easy facilitation of changing the locker size. Also, the locker software can be flexible enough so that customers can have a direct communication link to the locker software that would allow the customer's mobile device to input authentication and access codes that would open up locker door(s).

Abstract: A fuel management system for use by operators of temporary and/or permanent inventories of vehicles such as vehicle dealerships. Fuel vouchers are issued by authorized issuing personnel to authorized recipients if a validation procedure is passed using a database incorporating employee and vehicle inventory information. At the time of delivery, the fueling station will verify the vehicle and individual presenting the voucher. If verification occurs, the authorized quantity of fuel is dispensed. The voucher and sales receipt are returned to the dealership for future auditing and report generation. The system stores information to enable reports to be generated concerning fuel voucher issuance, actual fuel usage and to detect fraud or misuse, allowing more effective fuel expense management. In the event a report generates a fraud alert, appropriate management personnel are immediately notified by email, text messaging or other means.

The parts with higher pick frequencies are determined to have higher ratings than parts with lower pick frequencies. Grades of storage locations in the warehouse are determined based partially on accessibilities of the storage locations to a loading dock. A programmed processor determines respective ranges of grades of the storage locations that will satisfy storage location criteria of the respective ratings of the parts such that the higher rated parts have narrower respective ranges of grades of satisfactory storage locations than the lower rated parts.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program products are provided for collecting and analyzing route to determine the routes of a transit system. One example method includes receiving GPS data from a plurality of buses or uses from along a transit roué, the discreet GPS reports organized into a set, generating a plurality of clusters, each cluster is comprised of a first GPS point from a first set and one or more subsequent GPS points, each subsequent GPS point from a different set, and wherein each subsequent GPS point is located within a predetermined distance of the first GPS point. The clusters are then connected to form a route polylines. Outliers, inaccuracies, and/or route endpoints may be pruned to improve accuracy and efficiency of the method. The method may also order the aggregated clusters using spatial and temporal data of the GPS reports to improve accuracy.
